The town above the hotel , Volterra is beautiful and commands 360 deg views across the neighbouring country side. The hotel itself was somewhat of a disappointment . It looks if the pandemic has had an effect. The decor both inside and out is in need of re-decoration and extensive maintenance needs...

Lovely small hotel in a beautiful location. Large room with sir con. Breakfast and dinner are excellent and my gluten free needs were well catered for. The staff are all lovely and friendly. My only complaint is the height of the bath is very high and as the shower screen us is fixed it is very hard to get in and out.

My wife and I returned to this hotel for the 2nd time. This Hotel is one of the very best , beautiful views but the owners and staff make you feel part of the family and they could not do more for you. Highly recommend this Amazing hotel.

Hotel is a bit dated but it has a great pool. Only warning is that there is a nasty hill climb required to get into town and there is no cab. It looked like there was a bus that goes up the hill top the center Volterre

Nice hotel on a very good location in Volterra / Tuscany. Great view on the hills from the pool. Breakfast and diner are fine. Hotel is a bit outdated and needs some new paint but nevertheless we had a pleasant stay.

However, when we checked out, the proprietor accused us of stealing pool towels - we didn’t even use the pool - and clearly thought I was lying when I said we didn’t use any towels. Located just within the walls, La Locanda was the perfect location for exploring Volterra. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. There is convenient parking close to the hotel.

Photos tend to overstate present state of repair however staff are friendly and helpful. A very happy and casual feel to the place so need to be flexible about some of the finer details you might expect in a more urban location. Classic Umbria views with central location allow it to be your hub to enjoy the history and wineries around the area.

This resort has a rich breakfast and a large swimming pool, which is very suitable for summer vacation. From the observation deck, you can see the small town of San Gimignano, which is known as the "City of a Hundred Towers". It is about 2 kilometers away on foot.

Good walking distance from the historical San Gimignano sites. The room was always clean and the staffs were very friendly. The iconic towers are visible from the hotel pool side.

Like all of the reviews available this property overall was great. The rooms and bathrooms are on the small side and could do with a paint: however the rooms are still comfortable. I had a room with a balcony and it was amazing to watch the sunrise and sunset from there. The staff were all kind and helpful and the communal areas and breakfast area were great. What an amazing experience we had at La Collegiata. Driving up to the old monastery along the beautifully tree lined driveway and arriving in this magnificent greenery and impeccably maintained gardens around the whole property. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are decent. Wifi is terrible. Our biggest issue was with the lack of food available on the premises. We were on a cycling tour and besides breakfast, it is unclear if there is any food to be had for the rest of the day. Since we got caught here during a very rainy day, we had to taxi (40 euros) to San Gimignano eat lunch and bring home dinner for later-...

Wonderful. Clean, well maintained, great pools. Think they recently had maintenance works etc done after the tough covid period. Did not recognize anything of the negative posts dated from last year. Also restaurant was very good now - still expensive but trying to give you friendly service and food was outstanding.

So peaceful. The staff were really lovely and made you feel so welcome. The pools were fantastic. Never very busy. Plenty of loungers. The spa too was a real treat for some relaxation out of the sun. Plenty of free parking. All in all, just perfect (except for slow Internet).

Staff was friendly although didn’t offer much in the way of helpful advice or suggestions .Room was quite modern and clean. Breakfast was mediocre and some details were lacking: Many of the “clean” plates at the breakfast buffet were dirty with stuck-on food. Town had very limited things to see and do. There were a couple good dining options, but not many during early season.

We love the villa and exceeded our expectations. We stayed as part of a Viking cruise package. The location is a bit remote, but it is also very quiet. The front desk service is very good. There is a bathtub in the room picture but there is not in reality. The dinner is very cost-effective and it is worth eating in the hotel!

I traveled to Italy on a group tour and this hotel was our base. Great food in the restaurant, beautiful views out of my window of the Tuscany countryside. The second visit for me here. I absolutely love the hotel. It’s quaint, peaceful and the staff are delightful. This isn’t a fancy place, very simple but everything is done so well. This place will always hold a special place in my heart. Beautiful place ! Stayed a few nights last year for our honeymoon. It’s a peaceful place, the scenery, the food was great, the staff were very welcoming. We explored the nearby towns, it was the perfect place to stay at after the busy days we had in Rome.

My 4-year-old child fell down in the room. His mouth and face bled a lot. I will never forget the approach and support of the hotel staff throughout my life. Great hotel! The staff is very kind. We had a baby that made a mess during breakfast and we asked for a broom to clean but the waiter rejected my request, saying that he will clean it.. The garden, building and pool are very beautiful and nice. Rooms look like old Italian bedrooms, pretty nice. But the are not soundproof at all. Lovely facilities, staff and location but rooms are dated, and there are many smaller issues that come across as the hotel being stingy: air conditioning limited to 21C and noisy, WiFi access inconvenient, all power points and air conditioning turn off when you take your keys out (which means you have to leave a key in the room if you want to charge devices or come back to a cool room), shower cramped...

This is the most 5 star, 4 start hotel I’ve ever been to. From the minute we walked in, until the minute we left, the staff was incredible and kind. The hotel room was immaculate. So clean. Smelled so good. The rooftop pool, bar, restaurant was so nice and fairly priced for such a nice hotel. The staff was always eager to ensure we were satisfied and happy. I cannot wait to come back to this hotel

Wonderful place. I would highly recommend Palace Lido. Our room was pristine and we had a stunning balcony view. The staff was so kind and provided phenomenal service. We especially appreciated the gentleman we assume was the bar manager. He provided great drink recommendations. The rooftop bar/pool area was one of our favorite places to hang out in all of Cecina. Beautiful modern hotel with excellent staff. Room description on website is exactly as you find them which is a very modern high standard. Great location with variety of restaurants on your doorstep and beach directly across from hotel. Rooftop pool is perfect for watching the sunset and enjoying the view of the coastline.

Stunning modern hotel with stunning view from the bedroom window. Our room really had the wow factor, with a panoramic view of the infinity pool and sea below. The bedroom was very luxurious and comfortable, the only drawback being the electric panels around the room that remained lit day and night. The rooftop pool was also fabulous, and we thoroughly enjoyed lying on the sun loungers by the pool...

The hotel was very nice and the staff were really friendly. The room was spacious and modern and had a wonderful balcony with an ocean view. The bed was big and comfortable Breakfast on the 5th floor had an incredible view. Hope to be back!
