Sol Beach Resort in Koh Rong Island

My partner and I are currently travelling South East Asia and I booked 2 nights at this resort as a birthday present for my partner so it was certainly a step up from the accommodation we have been staying in! Perfect accommodation for chilling and relaxing, was very quiet but we liked that. We really enjoyed our stay here, the beachfront villa we stayed in was very clean and had everything we needed. Wifi was slightly weak at times but not a major issue. We ate in the restaurant a couple times, food was nice and I had a couple cocktails which were very yummy! Maybe slightly more expensive than other restaurants but since breakfast was included we didn’t mind. About a 10 min walk along the beach to other hotel restaurants and a shop. Free paddleboards and kayaks to use. There’s a direct path (15 min walk) behind the resort to Lazy beach where we watched the most amazing sunsets both nights of our stay, would highly recommend!

The hotel is very well located in a quiet area but not far from restaurants and entertainment.
The staff is attentive and always smiling.
The family villa is very well equipped: air conditioning, bottles of water...and cleaned every day. The restaurant is open all day.
The hotel takes care of booking the boat and the bus for the returns...everything is perfect!!

Amazing beach side front view villa when you want to feel like a million bucks you get this place

This place was perfect for our family. Laid back and beautiful. We checked out other places on the island and wish we had just remainder here. Would go again in a heartbeat.

I stayed here with my husband and two children. We chose this resort because they had rooms well suited for families. The resort staff met at us at the pier and took us and our luggage by small speed boat to the resort—saving us a difficult walk along the beach with all of our bags. The front desk staff were friendly, and the check-in process was smooth. The rooms were very clean. We loved being on the beach and having a view of the ocean from our front deck. There were comfortable couches and chairs on the deck where we could lounge throughout the day. We looked forward to the resort breakfast each morning. I especially appreciated that the wait staff would provide steamed milk for our coffee each morning. We had several meals at the resort restaurant during our stay and we enjoyed them all. We were disappointed by the amount of trash that would wash up along the island beach but the resort had staff that would maintain the beach in front of the resort each day so it was nice to have a cleaner area for swimming and playing in the sand.

Loved the location right on the beach and the space worked out for our family of 4, kids stayed upstairs in the tree house (although those were scary stairs, especially if kids needed to come downstairs in the middle of the night).
Easy walk to Lazy beach. We ate at nearby hotels and restaurants that are serving fresh seafood grilled on the beach.
Loved the outdoor terrace of our tree house and it’s pretty nice to wake up looking at the beach. Our breakfast server, a very young man, was very kind and always happy. The spa massages and amenities were great. Some issues in the bathroom, sink would not drain by the time we left, shower made huge puddles of water, toiled seat cover was moving. But overall we got what we paid for.
