Sorry…but we didn’t know we could be so “surprised”..
Very dirty…everything - tables, windows, bathroom, etc
Hair on the pillows, no kattle in the room 😳😳
For hot water we needed to go to the restaurant…
And the worst thing- we even didn’t have a fresh towels! They were wet 🤯
Great location…and nothing more.
We came after 11pm and child was sleeping, if not I would ask to clean everything for sure.
It was a business class double room, I even don’t want to think what is in a regular room.

A bit old, dated hotel, the rooms also look rather old, but still good. They have rich breakfast on the top floor from where you have a good view to downtown. Wifi was not always stable.

The place where it is located is really the City Center. The rooms are clean and the have everything you need. Breakfast - Coffee is good.

The carpet smelled of chemicals. How did I know this? That’s a great question… The only place that the Wi-Fi worked in our suite was when I sat on the floor next to the door (and even then, just barely). In the rest of the room, we could not even see the access points. Phone, iPad, computer - it didn’t matter - the room was an effective faraday cage for Wi-Fi..
When turning the AC on, we got nothing. Absolutely nothing. However, when switching it to heat mode, we got a trickle of cold air. Thankfully we had our own fans with us to help cool down the room by opening the windows.
The bathroom is an accident waiting to happen. There is a giant tub, but no shower curtain. But there is a mount on the wall for the shower head - which aims the shower head out the door into the carpeted bedroom. Did I mention that there is also an outlet on the wall that the shower aims at?
On the positive side, we had a walk in closet. Not sure what we were supposed to use that for through…
The kids slept on pull out sofas. They are scouts and used to sleeping on thin foam mattresses but both of them complained about how hard the beds were (the main bed was OK - the only redeeming feature of this hotel.
We stayed here because we needed a place for a family of four. Had I the ability to do it over, I would have kept driving to Tartu.
The Chinese restaurant in the mall next door was quite good though!

Fair price and clean and good rooms.
Reception was very friendly and helpful, Restaurant on the last floor with good food and a nice view.

We have not stayed in the actual hotel so far (we stay with the family) but have lunched at the Plaza restaurant at the very top of this hotel, and it's always been a truly amazing experience. Fresh, yummy and beautifully presented local food, very good portions, polite and helpful staff and very reasonable prices. Be sure to check out their "business lunch" offer, very affordable and delicious, consisting of a soup choice of the day, main course choice and a drink (local compote usually). The views of the city are so nice to enjoy while having your meal. A must visit while in Daugavpils, in our family's opinion.

Friendly staff, excellent location. But the rooms... For such a great hotel the rooms must be renovated. Such great potential requires a bit of an upgrade. Breakfast was continental.

Big rooms, big and comfy beds. Much fruit at the breakfast and a good selection of coffe and tea.
Close to big variety of restaurants and stores in the city. Cleaning was good. Staff excellent and service minded.
Breakfast was poor. Mainly fried and meat options. Lots of fruits available, but nothing vegetarian to fill up on. (Only some sort of very thin porrige.) I would recommend a few more cereal options and maybe seeds or nuts as well. I would also recommend to put out little signs to explain whats offered, many of the fried things wasnt possible to tell what they were.
Rooms where very hot and AC didnt work. Pillows very soft and thin.
Noisy city life outside, which might be expected from such a central area though.

Great location of the hotel, nice views.
Nice little bar area
But then go up to your Rooms shabby , need updating, micro thin carpet.
