Luna Holiday Complex

Loved staying at the Luna hotel - we had a view of the sea from our balcony 😌 There’s an indoor heated family swimming pool but also a rooftop swimming pool with a bar/food for adults only which was great for us! Staff were lovely - note that there was a £50 deposit on arrival that you get back at the end but that’s quite standard. The view from the roof top bar was stunning and the food/drink was good and reasonably priced! There is also a bar downstairs with live music and outside seating - 2 for 1 cocktails in happy hour! It wasn’t too busy (we went in October). You could have your room
cleaned if you wanted. Location was great, a shop downstairs and close to restaurants and a beach. We got Bolt’s around which we’re not too expensive from where we were. The only downside was early morning noise from work being done on tiling outside our room. I do recommend staying here if you’re in Malta!

We have just come back from Luna in Malta. Even though it was middle of November we had 23-24 degree weather. The hotel was lovely and clean, the receptionists are so very lovely and helpful.
Don Tonino bar in the hotel was excellent, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. We were on a B and B basis and there was plenty of choice.
The upstairs pool was closed as it was out of season but we still got fabulous views and sunsets.
The indoor pool we used which is next to the twilight bar. They do a takeaway service should you require anything after your day out. The mini mart is extremely handy too.
All the staff including housekeeping were all friendly, helpful and so happy.
Luna is located in Mellieha which is at the north of the island so a little further to travel to places but the public transport system is very cheap and frequent. There is a bus stop a few hundred yards away. The beach is down the road, local restaurants especially Noras! And there is even a little wildlife reserve down by the beach too. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Luna and obviously Malta in general. We will definitely be returning.

Great place to stay, very welcoming, clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed in our room and will definitely consider staying here again. This was our first visit to Malta and we’ve had a lovely time

Had a wonderful 4 days staying at Luna. Lovely complex. We stayed in one of the self catering apartments with a view of Mellieha and the lovely church. Room was lovely and clean and was perfect for us. Music in the lounge area on one of the nights we were there. Even did a bit of karaoke. Which was fun. I would definitely recommend staying here.

My hubby and I recently stayed here for 2 weeks in September, self catering. Our room was spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Both pools were clean although I would've preferred a rail to get into the sky pool.

The location was great for us (pretty quiet), with a lovely view of the church at the top of the hill. You could get a weekly bus ticket for 25 euros unlimited travel anywhere, but if you don't want to do that, each ticket you buy on the bus lasts 2 hours or so at 2.50 euros.

There's a few restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Our favourite was the Thai, which did take away too and Nora's pub.

All in all, it's a fantastic hotel.

Our room were modern and very nice - very large and nice bathroom. Cleaning every day if you want, fresh towels every day. Personal in the bar and reception was very kind and helpful. The location is perfect - close to the beach and many restaurants nearby. Rooftop pool with nice facilities. In general very happily surprised with our stay at Luna Hotel! Live music almost every evening.

Stayed August for 10 days.. upgraded to executive studio. Stunning rooms , cleaned everyday, bed linen and towels changed everyday. This was our first time to Malta. 100% return to Luna complex, lovely staff, spotless clean.
10 days was not enough to explore all the island.

Had an amazing stay for a wedding at Luna. We booked one of the superior rooms and it was large, spacious and modern. Only giving four stars as plug in bathroom was a little broken and balcony was not very private.

The staff at Luna are honestly fantastic. They were so kind and helpful, putting up with a very noisy wedding party like champs.

Would stay again, great value for money. Sky lounge is especially impressive and really nice place to chill out on a hot day.

Close to the beach and a lot of really nice restaurants and cafes so couldn't ask for a better location!

Having the mini mart underneath makes life so easy as well.

A great hotel in a fab location. Staff really nice and friendly. Rooftop pool was fabulous and plenty of sun loungers - note we were here in June. We didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. The room (standard double) was a really good size with a small kitchenette and the bathroom was fine - could do with a bit of an update but really good value for money. Room was clean and towels changed every two days. The room had both air-con and a fan which cooled the room down quickly. Beds were comfy enough - note that the double bed is two large singles pushed together.

Location of the hotel was fab. Close to the beach where you can book boat trips and water activities. Bus stops couldn’t be much closer with frequent buses into Valletta and also to the port to get the ferry to Gozo. The main town of Mellieha is up a hill but is very walkable in the evenings when the temperature is cooler - or you can easily get a bus. There are plenty of restaurants by the beach and in the town to choose from.

The hotel had live music in the evenings which was nice but very loud (but couldn’t hear from room).
