Reviews
The room was comfortable and there was a sensible selection of crockery.
Housekeeping were efficient, maintenance were quick to fix problems, and the hotel was generally clean.
The mini market has a decent selection and is reasonably priced, with a clever free water deal at certain spend levels - good way to keep tourists from dehydration!
The Sky pool and bar were also well maintained.
Location is good for the beach and Mellieha centre is either walkable (note that it's hilly) or quick by buses.
Cons:
The apartment is poorly laid out and of no benefit for a couple, or even two couples because the double bed is in the main living space. It's only useful if you have children young enough to go to bed earlier.
The kitchenette is beyond basic and has no food storage except the fridge.
The Sky bar is poorly stocked - with such a wide range of Maltese wine available, it's a shame that the bar has only cheap 'red' or 'white'. The Sky bar also closes strangely early.
Some of the pillows have totally shredded stuffing and should be thrown out.
Suggested improvements:
Put small tables and lighting on the balconies
Improve stock in bar
Provide some food storage in the kitchenette
Buy new, bigger towels

GREAT HOLIDAY
cleaned if you wanted. Location was great, a shop downstairs and close to restaurants and a beach. We got Bolt’s around which we’re not too expensive from where we were. The only downside was early morning noise from work being done on tiling outside our room. I do recommend staying here if you’re in Malta!
Don Tonino bar in the hotel was excellent, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. We were on a B and B basis and there was plenty of choice.
The upstairs pool was closed as it was out of season but we still got fabulous views and sunsets.
The indoor pool we used which is next to the twilight bar. They do a takeaway service should you require anything after your day out. The mini mart is extremely handy too.
All the staff including housekeeping were all friendly, helpful and so happy.
Luna is located in Mellieha which is at the north of the island so a little further to travel to places but the public transport system is very cheap and frequent. There is a bus stop a few hundred yards away. The beach is down the road, local restaurants especially Noras! And there is even a little wildlife reserve down by the beach too. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Luna and obviously Malta in general. We will definitely be returning.
