Reviews
10 days was not enough to explore all the island.
- Day after, when we wanted to cook breakfast, gas was empty! They "changed" it for a new empty gas! We tried to call the reception, but telephone wouldn't work! We had to go down and ask for a new full gas!
- This same morning we realized that the water in the shower wouldn't drain. They "clean" it but after 2 days it was stuck again.
- Cupboard in the kitchen was broken. We couldn't regulate the gas.
- If you don't book direct with the hotel, housekeeping is just every two days.
- We run out of soap and they wouldn't even refill it!
- Staff not very friendly
- Be aware that they can close the rooftop swimming pool and bar for private occasions (happened to us two times!)
- Only good thing: Location. Close to the beach, restaurants and bus stops.
- Bed very uncomfortable and pillows even worst! Bed sheets don't hold to the mattress.
The staff at Luna are honestly fantastic. They were so kind and helpful, putting up with a very noisy wedding party like champs.
Would stay again, great value for money. Sky lounge is especially impressive and really nice place to chill out on a hot day.
Close to the beach and a lot of really nice restaurants and cafes so couldn't ask for a better location!
Having the mini mart underneath makes life so easy as well.
Location of the hotel was fab. Close to the beach where you can book boat trips and water activities. Bus stops couldn’t be much closer with frequent buses into Valletta and also to the port to get the ferry to Gozo. The main town of Mellieha is up a hill but is very walkable in the evenings when the temperature is cooler - or you can easily get a bus. There are plenty of restaurants by the beach and in the town to choose from.
The hotel had live music in the evenings which was nice but very loud (but couldn’t hear from room).
We were self catering in the Executive Superior room. Brand new refurbished, beautiful room. Nice view over the hill. We ate out all week, only ate food from hotel bar once. Great portion of fish and chips, and good chicken burger and chips for hubby. Would recommend a stay here. Defo will be returning 😎
My first impressions were that this hotel was great value considering what I payed. A top rated 3 star establishment.
Staff were welcoming and very efficient. Buffet breakfast and dinner was delicious and plentiful, especially after a day’s walking.
Many of us will be returning!
