Barrakka Suites in Valetta

For location, this gets a 10/10. It is legit right next to Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta where you can see amazing sunrises and sunsets (in November, at least; not sure about the rest of the year). Ferries depart at the bottom of the Barrakk Gardens's elevator so if you take any ferry, like to Gozo or Three Cities, it's super convenient. Our room was quiet, had a kitchenette, AC and heat, and a Juliette balcony. Also, many, many restaurants/bars are a quick 2-10 minute walk away. The bus terminal is about a 10 minute walk away. The housekeeper was super attentive and accommodating. She gave us extra tea, sugar, milk and showed us the reverse osmosis water filter tap in the lobby so we could fill our water bottles. We never had to buy water! (You can brush your teeth with the tap water, and I drank it, too, but my hubs didn't like the taste and wouldn't drink the tap water.) Although clean, the upholstered pieces in the suite (couch and the bed's headboard) were a bit shabby. They need a good cleaning, or better yet, replacing. This is why I rated this place 4/5 instead of 5/5. There is no live person in the lobby. They text you a code to get into the building and then when you reach your room, the keys will be in the door. NOTE: You need to climb up 15 steps in order to reach the elevator so for those who cannot handle stairs, this would not be the place them.

An amazing apartment overlooking Upper Barraka Gardens. Such a fantastic location to walk around Valletta. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet and the host was responsive. The bed was very comfortable and thoughtful touches were included - tea, coffee, water etc. The room was also serviced daily. We could not think of a better place to stay when exploring Valletta and we would highly recommend.

The small hotel with few apartments was in an abolutely fine location - just inside the old city and next to peacefull upper barrak gartens. Room with an OK interior - a bit old / outdated but fully functional. An issue was handled within hours - fine. Bathroom fine and the large bed really good. Internet connection super.

Super Good Location and Very Clean Apartment

Pleasant stay in a nicely renovated Maltese house with a traditional balcony and in a perfect location. Very clean. Communication efficient but minimal.

Sorry No photo but you can see Barrakka Garden from your window. The room is very clean, has internet, tv coffee, water. Close to everything you need. You still need to carry bags up stairs to get to elevator. Then from elevator to room. It's a cosy little suite.

Excellent location only down side was the balcony window was overlooked by the barraka garden walkway and if informed of this may have had second thought
