Rooms are clean, large and comfortable, service is fantastic, beautiful hotel.

Of the restaurants, the Rooftop Bar was the best for dinner- they were outstanding service, drinks and food. The Temptasian restaurant was not quite the atmosphere described - food was good but they seated us at a table right near the kitchen without good ventilation and made it feel like a sauna then a restaurant.

Breakfast was delicious and well worth while with great gluten free options.

Overall, a great hotel and would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. We bought the day pass for the pool which was perfect for experiencing the pool and bridging the gap before our flight. Would definitely come back to stay here!

A must-stay in Malta.
Three days ago we checked into of one of the best hotels my fiancee and I have ever stayed in.
The standard and attention to detail is top quality. The staff have been amazing, they have done everything they can to make us feel comfortable, going the extra mile whenever possible. Housekeeping have been outstanding, bar staff and restaurant staff have been incredible and the concierge/managerial staff have been some of the most welcoming and accommodating people we have ever met. I strongly believe that these staff have got everything right and all other hotels should know ‘AX the palace’ as set the highest standard possible in our eyes.
My fiancee and I travel a lot, there is so much to see in the world and we have never been to the same place twice. This hotel and its staff, have made this such an incredible experience that we cannot wait to rush back again and again for years to come.

Just returned from a stay at this hotel which was an amazing experience. Staff are all welcoming and friendly. The staff will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Their restaurant has lovely food and again staff will make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Very special place

Lovely hotel with excellent facilities. Lovely large rooms with balconies, mini fridge and great amenities in the bathroom. Good service at all bars and friendly staff throughout. My only suggestion would be on the Saturday grill night. The photos promoting this event portray a grill with an amazing looking cut of meat. The reality is that it’s a buffet and all the meats are in heated chargers, coated in various marinades. I found the meats to be over flavoured and overcooked. At nearly €50 per head I didn’t consider this value for money.

I had the nicest experience here. I stayed for a week for a work event and the staff were just so pleasant and friendly. One chap from the desk in particular helped carry my bags to the cab (I'm sorry I didn't catch his name!) but I left feeling very impressed by everyone there and the entire place. The food is great, the bars are great, the views from the top are stunning, and the location is also fab. I definitely recommend!

My first 5* experience, and it lived up to the hype.

Incredibly friendly staff. Quick and efficient service. Rooms were cleaned daily, and I felt they went above and beyond to make us feel special.

The pool and particularly the view were stunning. I also think the hotel location was excellent, being right in the centre of both St Julians and Valetta.

We had breakfast in the hotel, which is a fantastic buffet with a wide selection on offer. We ate out every night, aside from the final night, where we booked a table for the Asian rooftop restaurant. I can't speak highly enough of the experience we had. It's truly memorable. We had the final set meal on the menu, which was 9 courses. Don't fret about the cost, you're on holiday!

Wonderful hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful. Evening dining exceptional. Our superior room is gorgeous. Critism would have to be the annoying music on the otherwise fabulous roof terrace. It's the annoying music with the underlying repetitive base beat which is overly loud, tuneless and endlessly repetitive. Is there anyone who actually likes this intrusive unpleasant sound? Maybe something different could be more appropriate?

I recently had the pleasure of staying at AX The Palace Hotel during my visit to Malta, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. Not only did they swiftly address an issue I had, but they also graciously upgraded my room and even provided delightful goodies like wine and cookies, adding a personal touch to my experience.

The view from my room was nothing short of breathtaking, offering panoramic vistas that truly captured the essence of Malta's beauty. The rooms themselves were incredibly spacious, providing ample comfort and luxury. The upgraded room (#849) with the Jacuzzi was the highlight of my stay, offering a serene oasis where I could unwind.

Dining at the hotel's restaurant was an absolute delight, with each meal exceeding my expectations. From the delicious local cuisine to the impeccable service, every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch.

Overall, my experience at AX The Palace Hotel was nothing short of exceptional, and I cannot wait to return. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful with big smiles that actually reached their eyes.
Nothing was too much trouble and any problem we had was quickly fixed.
The food was great, a really good variety at breakfast.
Our room looked out over the city towards the harbour and most of the time in the room was spent on this balcony.
Really enjoyed the hotel and will return and definitely recommend to others.
