I went to Alor Setar for two nights and on 2nd night stay at Art Villa owned by Mr Tan. The house was nice with a lot of artistic decorations. The room was good - spacious for two. The pillow given was not enough (1 only). The iron was not function and tear my cloth, even with the replacement. The room card access only been given to one person. The food is average (the ingredients were not fresh) and lack of variations.

In the middle of town, located just beside a shopping mall, convenient. The only thing need to watch out is the window can easily be opened, so family with kids be careful (I moved away all the tables / chairs away from the window and close the curtains with warnings to my kids do not open the curtains).

Had a great time. Yup this hotel was built way back. We came here twice or more when I was young tagging along my dad when he went outstation to Alor Setar. Small and simple. Situated near (not really that near, you can walk but I suggest you bring your car to carry all the good stuff back) the Pekan Rabu. A lot has changed. All in all, thanks for the pleasant stay.

I really liked this hotel. Yes, it is quite old and slightly away from town, but the room was wonderful. It had a very comfortable bed, a desk with chair as well as two reading chairs. The room was very big for the price paid. It was clean, the wifi was good as was the shower. The free breakfast was not very appealing, but there is a great food court - the China Town - nearby.

Clean room and value for money. Stayed in a single room on first trip and family room on second trip. Basic amenities available on the room. As for location, the hotel is near to hypermarket and surrounded by many restaurants and convenient stores. Highly recommend

This is a 2star hotel from the hotel association. Location is very good (next to Aman Central mall and Alor Star Tower). But the room has no wardrobe! Aircond is powerful, same goes for hot water shower. If you are here for just 1nite, then this may serve u well. Free parking BTW but limited at basement.

It's not expensive. Just nearby Aman Central. The biggest mall in Kedah. Room internet connection was superb!

Hotel room was not bad given that it is a 3-star hotel. Room was quite spacious for twin-beds. Breakfast selections definitely suck. The coffee has an alkaline taste to it and is diluted. Service is good. They alternate between hotdogs and scrambled eggs. Find the springy bed okay. The aircon is too loud at night, had bad sleep quality because of it. Coupled it with the noisy fridge as well.

For a 3 stars hotel, it has provided sufficient facilities for my short trip. Spacious room, basic amenities, tasty breakfast range and even a newspaper in the morning. A bit old and outdated, no complaint as it is worth its price. Recommended!

Visited on 26th May 2024 with my wife. Service and room provided is satisfactory however no lift provided which make older people difficult to access their rooms at level 1 and 2, by using stairs. Disable person who are using wheelchair not advisable to go as no facilities to assist them.

Both my husband and me had such wonderful sleep in this hotel that we both were surprised this is only a 2 stars hotel. Just one thing, no lift yah, walk up to first and second floor so guests with elderly, better request for room located at first floor.

Fairly new hotel, rooms were very clean and amenities per what we paid . It was Rm 86 for a twin room per night. Some food stalls and coffee shops nearby and a lot more choice when you drive out another 10 to 15 minutes away. Staff were very polite and a great help with enquiries and recommendations for dinner choices and nearby places of interest.

We expect to spend 2 weeks here for a medical emergency. The hospital is just across the road, 400m away. Hotel rooms are quite comfortable. Service is good and friendly. Cost is affordable. There is a mini market next to the hotel that opens until 11pm. A coffee shop that opens till 12 midnight. People here are friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed our stay at rainbow hotel. The staff was very friendly and we had only a few issues with the facilities. The hot water was a little weak but not a deal breaker. The hotel is old but decent. Staff is friendly and they even work with a perfectly functioning typewriter at the check in in the lobby.
