Beware of black mold (mould )in your bathroom. The front desk was able to find me a better room. If the bathrooms are able to get to this way, it's questionable if the Aircon has mold either.
It's late so I've accepted the room swap that she went out of the way to look for and offer. Unfortunately there's way to cancel and get a refund for the next two nights. I am figuring out my plans and will probably leave early at a loss.
The rooms require your room key for power for everything. The lights, Aircon, mini fridge. So while the mini fridge is a great amenity, I wouldn't plan on keeping anything cool in it as it gets to warm temperature while you're gone.
The location is fine, a lot of the rooms are facing the busy road so if you're a light sleeper beware.
I believe if the mold problem is properly addressed and care is maintained then it can be avoided. Whether it means daily bleaching or some other solution to prevent it from growing. I understand this is a humid country, but properly ventilated rooms as well as temperatures can prevent this from happening.
I do believe this could have been a good stay but instead it's a damper on the trip.
I've attached pictures of the first bathroom, there was a second room I got moved to with the same issue, and the room I'm in currently is the 3rd with pictures of it. An improvement but the grout is troubling.

Everything is good. But Im not really happy with the service because when arrived hotel at 4pm our room not yet ready for check in and need to wait.

The room was well-equipped, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's within easy walking distance of major attractions like the Red Church, Dutch Square, and Jonker Street. It offers excellent value for money and was also quite quiet.

Here was my 2nd time booking after 8years...still clean and desk staff friendly. Location was good and have free parking zone. Convenient. Will book again on next visit

It was spotlessly clean, and the sheets and blankets were dust-free. The location is excellent, just a 6-minute straight walk down a nearby lane to Jonker Street.

Venus Boutique hotel is located near to Few attraction like TamingSari tower,Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade shopping centre.All is about 5 to 10 minutes walking.so location is very strategic.Beside we can buy ole ole at Ole Ole Melaka.Famous cake house “Nadeje” just behind the hotel.Room is small but with TV,tea and coffee.they do providing bicycles to hand around the melaka city.parking is free too.

Booked super twin room utk 2 dewasa 1 kanak2. Bilik okay je. Basic room. Tp bilik agak sempit. Nk solat pon macam takde space. Semuanya mcm within reach je😅 xleh nk expect more. Nama lagi hotel bajet. So as long as boleh tidur, okay la tu. Thanks venus

1) There is a special parking lot for hotel guests where you enter and exit using a room card. The receptionist is friendly and kind, just a bit disappointed because I thought the room would be spacious like in the picture.
2) There is a safety box, a few small hot drink cups that are not suitable for drinks (espresso cups), luggage storage can fit up to 2 or 3 pieces of luggage. Normal TV broadcasts, some of them have no sound at all. TV remote that runs out of battery (called housekeeping but they didn't send it at all).
3) The bathroom is clean but only supplied with a shower pump. No toothbrush and toothpaste. There is also a hairdryer. The housekeeping staff is very unfriendly
4) We have 5 people in a family, including the extra bed, this room is too narrow. So I don't recommend it for families with more than 5 people. The hotel is in the city center, only 5 minutes walk to Menara Taming Sari. Can avoid traffic jams.

Room was spacious and clean. Second time there. Provided 2 pillows for per pax. Aircon was cold. Shower area and toilet separated by a glass panel. But toothbrush and toothpaste not provided, which is not an issue for us. Hotel has its own parking area. Have to drive ard. Overall, good for a one night stay.
