Bayou Lagoon Park Resort
Malacca, Amari Villa, Jalan Wakaf Utama 🧭 Map
The hotel is clean and nice. The staff also very helpful and friendly. The waterpark is quite fun. Suitable for family with children. They also give free tickets to Art 3D Museum which is so lit and fun.
The room is rather small. The water park seems dead but surprisingly fun and filled with attendees. It's a good place to stay and the rate is quite cheap. I recommend the studio room. It's more spacious compared to the two room suite.
Good place for families with kids as they have a mini water park. Each unit will be entitled to free passes. Lift very slow and during peak times, you’d have to wait many rounds before getting in.
It is a water them park. There is slides for both adult and kids. The park looks a bit old but still OK. There also features a ATV rides, a small train rides and also archery range that need to pay extra apart from the entrance ticket. The entrance ticket which is a wrist band is what you pay for everything in the park. To top-up a minimal of RM20 at counter in the park.
Very good and tidy rooms. Feels very cosy to stay in. However, service can be improved by the people. Should smile more often
Room spacious, but basic necessities (iron, body soap) not provided in our room. Check-in/out is hassle free. Breakfast in weekend is havoc, done at general hall (too many people). Enjoyed the pool with my children.

Came here for the cooking class, not as a guest of the hotel. I loved this class, it was definitely the best one I have done! The explanations about the food and history were great. The food we made was delicious and we got to enjoy this with multiple other dishes at the end of the class. We even got dessert to take away as we were too full to have it there. I can't wait to go and try these recipes...
Old hotel, looks pretty old inside, however, interior are well maintain even thou the building and equipment is old. Buffet is better than I expected. However, I felt the dessert they can improve even better. Butter cake taste like very artificial flavour and can felt the food colour taste at the end. Service given is superb for a 4 star hotel.
Stayed there a night for my brother in law's wedding reception. It's an old hotel and perhaps a little dated in it's deco but the level of service and the food surpasses what I've come to expect. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast- excellent! You'll never go wrong with a stay here. Thank you to the staff for an enjoyable stay.
Old, but still Gold. Pretty well maintained for her age, the rooms and fittings were funtional but not worn. The only remarks I have is that the function hall smelled of food most of the time, I guess the ventilation isn't quite up to speed. To make the trip memorable, on the, last day, we we're awoken by water dripping from the ceiling of the bathroom. A pipe burst on the floor above and there was...
After so many years, the hotel rooms, facility , gym room, lobby etc are still well maintained! Really impressive despite the shower h as in the shower room needs to replace. The toilet may need some refresh similarly to the bed. Overall is still clean and nice.. keep it up! Very assessable to amenities and restaurants. Walking distance to many food place and the shopping mall too! Great to stay here...
One of the older hotels in Malacca, Equatorial is at a strategic location. Close to historical sites and town area. But on weekends the traffic is bad. With the emergence of new boutique hotels, tourists are preferring other places to stay. This hotel needs to create something new to make it attractive again. The rooms are rather old. And the rates are not competitive.

The location was good, stay was comfortable, beds were comfortable. The room had a bit of a bad smell, we had to change 3 rooms, but we were able to live with it and the hotel was very accomodating and ensured that they provided us with a room we were satisfied with.
I am staying for 3 day and 2 night here for work related seminar. The room were clean, I can say new and feel fresh. The food were wonderfully delicious. I love their automatic coffee machine where I easily can get an espresso, cappuccino, or just Americano. The hotel dining area is very clean and comfortable suitable for couples or even for a family. They even has spa service if you want to.
Come back to visit Melaka after many years and decided to stay at the same hotel we did before. Staff were as usually friendly and helpful. Ample parking and big clean lobby as we have remembered. The room is spacious enough for our family of four including two young kids, yet it is showing signs of aging; old wood furnishings, leaking fridge and slight musky smell which was overcome by a strong fragrance...
Clean and spacious rooms. Nice breeze from the sea. Friendly staff. The gym and the pool looked good too, but we didn’t get to use them (too many people in the holiday season). If your room is facing the food court / market, it could get noisy in the evening. They played loud and annoying music until Midnight. Minus 1 star because of that. Perhaps the management should do something about this. We...
Well maintained hotel, condition is still clean and nice. Sea or city view to choose, both are nice. Though sea view is slowly cluttered with new development. Hotel away from crowds with nice swimming pool with separate pool for kids. There is a convenience stall within the hotel. Breakfast served in 2nd floor with good variety of food. There is even a children food corner.
Been here for my mom's retirement ocassion.Very nice and calming environment ; perfect concept and atmosphere.. but a lot of things that can be improved such as food served during hi tea. Food choices should be attractive, healthy instead of delicious.

1. Located in the city, walking distance to Jonker area and all the sightseeing spots in Malaka. 2. Reception was friendly and efficient. 3. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Ac was cold and quiet. Slept well. 4. There was a big group of tourist during breakfast. But, i was able to get the food i need. Food was ok. No coffee machine, but we can order cappuccino with extra payment.
The stay at ibis Melaka was great! Located near the nice eateries. Room was quite clean although can be improved on. Parking lots ample. Generally I enjoy my stay here with my family. Had a good time.
I stay one night with my family, and to be honest when i walk into lobby, it’s surprised me. (Reception a bit slow, only 2 person serve 9-10 people) but they served welcome drinks and there are a counter sell baverage. Hotel room, it is beyond my expectations. Almost like a 5 stars hotel. Clean and everything new. Comfortable bed. And TV with many channels. Swimming pool, my kids love it. Have a...
The stay was a pleasant and relaxing for us. The fast and efficient check in was 5 stars experience. The room and toilet was clean. Your swimming pool was excellent. The only thing that bothers me was, you were promoting the whole watermelon drinks. During the hot day, we were disappointed tom know that the drink was not available. What's the point promoting it if you don't have it?
Beautiful hotel with modern vibes. Clean and comfortable room, bathroom and shower. Great amenities and wifi. The food quality is excellent with fresh ingredients. Love the breakfast buffet and fair in prices. Cozy bar with nice menus. Good experience with superb service from the restaurant team. Good wellness and leisure! Spacious and clean swimming pool. I stayed here for 13 days and the experience was very good. The rooms are big, clean and well equipped. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. Pros : The AV system is ok. The room, facilities and grounds were nice and quiet. The greenery and surrounding areas is beautiful. It does however, have a rundown vibe, but it doesn't bother me or my clients much, most of us were comfortable and slept well. I like the pillows very much. Cons : For the price, comparatively to other hotels in the area, at the same price, the Food, and service certainly...
after reading reviews with rate of so-so in this site, the hotel exceeds our expectation. for us, it's just great. we love the forestry like surroundings, the calmness and facilities. some things can be improved: -swimming pool time can be longer instead of just 9am-6pm as we really love the pool. -breakfast can be improved variety wise. -lighting in bathroom can be brighter
Nice room nice scenery nice service. Special thanks for Mr Paul, Miss Bern & Mr Prim for going extra miles for services. Professional services, Considerate & very friendly. Just that location far from city. Wait half to 1 hr for grab to other places. recommend take their shuttle bus to city then take transport from there. No housekeeping services though.
Loved the design, so different from others. Booked 2 pavilion villa for 4 of us, requested side by side rooms and we were able to get it. Nice meals with a variety of choices. Also the tour at the area behind was interesting. Varieties of plants and animals just like at the 'kampung'.
Nice theme and location but the hotel is not well maintain and cleanliness to be improved. 5 stars hotel but 2 stars service, guest need to carry the luggage themselves on buggy and also carry up to the room upstairs themselves; staircase and bathroom sink with stain. Overall I would give this a huge 5 star! As the best experience for us. We honestly don't mind to have a walk to Hatten Hotel to get our free breakfast. If it's food, we wouldn't mind it anytime. Not to mention the car park is very nearby and there are security guards taking care of the area which I find it secure...
Clean, tidy, and neat room. Seamless check in process. Breakfast was good! Family & couple friendly hotel. Downside: a bit noisy because of the open space concept restaurant But for me everything is great 🎉🎉
Room Aircon not working upon check in. Got technician to service but still not satisfactory, not cool enough. Asked to change room and agreed to send up new room keys. Waited and waited until overslept. Reason: receptionist listened to technician and did not call back that they decided not to change rooms. Later , after dinner decided not to change room any longer. So slept without using quilt/...
Recommended hotel to stay. Corridor entrance is privacy (room facing room type)than the open ones. Also, the security is the top notch. You need an access card whenever you want to get into the lift. A deluxe type room is small but satisfied with cleanliness and facilities, has gym too. Staff is friendly and fast service. Keep it up.
Location is great for us, as we usually shop at the two big malls nearby. Easily walkable to shopping, and lots of great food options. Great value for money as we (a couple and one single) took the family suite, which is 2 rooms plus a very decent living area. Service is nothing to shout about, as we really didn't need much, although when we did ask for bedroom slippers, we were first told they...
The bed was comfy and the room was clean, but we had problem with the shower. The shower drain seemed not working well unless we lift the cover and left it open. I stayed here as part of an overseas learning programme my secondary school held in 2017. The hotel is generally clean and the rooms are also hygienic. The hotel has a decent view of Melaka (room 822). The bed was huge and the room was averagely clean. Good choice to stay if you're in Melaka. Reasonable room rates too
Breakfast was good but its the same for two days I've been. I like the fact that the hotel was a short distance from the shopping mall, jonker streets, dataran pahlawan and the lists continues.
If you check the room carefully and it is really dirty. The shower water had some bad smell. The best is the view, the only best for this hotel.

Location wise: - in city centre, 1 min to Banda Hilir - in front of 7E Room: The carpet in the room that we stayed is dusty. There are some stains on the comforter & bedsheet. Stayed in a family room but they only provided 2 cloth hangers. The least you can do is to provide 4. Overall service is okay, affordable price. It'd be a comfortable stay if the cleanliness of the room is fixed.
I would say these hotel are very privacy, convenient to Mall, grocery mart,Cari makan and nearest to Kg Morten. In terms of facilty..8/10.. But the staff are friendly.

Having breakfast here at cafe near lobby got decent foods but taste good. Very satisfied staying here.
Old and worn down, but it's ok because the room rate is reasonable, you get what you pay for. Negatives - room door is tight, had to force it open all the time, shower head keeps falling because the holder on the bathroom wall is loose, had to hold it while showering, cracked sink, mould growing at bottom part of bathroom door, only two hangers in closet, poor room lighting, room is quite dark at night...

The environment is clean and comfortable, and the scenery is beautiful. The price is reasonable and cost-effective. I booked the room on Agoda.
I have mixed feelings about my stay at Ohana House Melaka. I initially booked a Queen Room with Garden view, expecting a private bathroom as advertised on Booking dot com. Was an amazing 2 nights staying in this house, room was quite spacious and clean. It has own private bathroom. Very good choice if you get the lower rate online, much better than those single rooms of guest houses. The room is not bad, comfortable. The breakfast was horrible, don’t take if your package doesn’t include breakfast. Convenient to access to both Heeren St and Jonker St. My room’s fridge was not working at all and I told the reception about it, but they didn’t do anything for that.
This hotel is located at old town area of Malacca, where there are so many old buildings from the early 1900's. The hotel is good and quite cheap, which has old style interior. Location is just perfect, very close to jonker street and within a walking distance to many spots. And most fortunately our room was pretty quite in the night- also spacious and clean. One thing that I was disappointed about is the ‘view’. Because we had a huge wall right in front of our face when we opened the window. Staff at the reception counter was very friendly as well.
