No efficiently working air-con. Extremely stuffy and hot room, even in the night. Inaccessible manager to discuss problems. Extremely weak wi-fi working only in close proximity to the reception desk. Great spa, location and one particular waitress.

Beautiful location and nicely renovated main restaurant and reception but...

My husband and I picked this place for our wedding last year and unfortunately we encountered many many issues. Communication prior to the wedding was poor and all the planning was left by the management till the last couple of weeks (all communication about tables, menu, the day itself, any special needs, etc). We provided details and items for the table decorations which was set up nicely, however, one of the main tables was set up back to front with the groom's mum ending up right at the end next to the bar/kitchen. The other table was too short with an elderly guest sitting on a corner and when asked for extending the table the restaurant said they don't have any more tables (I don't why they accepted a booking for such a number of guests). The venue was provided with a list of food allergies and dietary requirement with a lot of detail, colour coding and even highlighted on the table planner for ease, yet the bride was served a starter covered with nuts (thank God it was clear from the plate otherwise the party would end with a hospital or the bride suffocating). There was plenty of and rather good food but again quite poorly served in terms of esthetics (unattractive looking cutlets for the main, etc.).
We were forced to hire rooms above the restaurant, regardless of whether they would be filled (for so-called 'discounted price'); we were put in communist-style old rooms rather than the newly refurbished wing (the pictures on the website were misleading and so was the staff when claiming the rooms were given to us for a discounted price). The bride and groom's room was of the same standard, slightly bigger, but dull, oldfashioned and completely not suitable for such a special occasion, no decorations or special touches. The reception even tried to move one of the guests to a smaller room without any refund.
The staff that served at the wedding dinner was nice and worked very hard but then the next day our wedding food was served at breakfast to the hotel guests.
