ACTUAL POOP in the bath, which was hidden by a towel!!!! When I moved such towel I noticed this
The baby bed also had feces, absolutely TERRIBLE, disgusting 🤮
Yes they changed my room and gave me a new baby bed, but this sort of thing should NEVER happen

Cheap, but would never stay here again.
The staff didn’t even seem surprised there was poop on the bath.

Very old fashioned room & bathroom. Furniture is worn out. Only one lift which is always full. It took two days to get me some extra pillows. Very small rooms. Only good thing is the Central Location.
Prices for parking are a crime!

Good: very central location. Decent staff and breakfast. Clean bedsheets and towels.

Bad: extraordinarily outdated, ill-lit and poorly maintained rooms (I'm guessing no major renovation has been done in the last 25 to 30 years). The corridors stink of moldy carpet and the rooms of cigarettes (do they turn a blind eye to smoking? Or do they have no smoke detectors? Or is it 25-year-old baked-in funk? Either way, horrendous.) The bathroom had a prehistoric bathtub instead of a shower, and there was no curtain! No wonder there's a mold problem.

I only stayed one night and chose this place because of its proximity to the train station. I booked last minute and arrived in the middle of the night, and was let in by the night guard as agreed. It's an OK hotel in an emergency, but I wouldn't recommend staying there otherwise. Unless you like experiencing time capsules (in this case, early post-cold war transition, circa 1992?), surely there are better options in a city this size.

Service at the desk this past friday was very unkind and impatient with foreigners. Knowledge of english and german was poor. The bedroom was cold and the bathroom smelled like cigarettes, very unpleasant. We asked for another bedroom and it was warmer without cigarette smell, unfortunately the noise carries through the ventilation system and the upstairs neighbors were very loud. The cost of parking was shocking, as well as the cost for breakfast. The hotel is older and in need of repair. The rooms were a good size as well as the bathrooms. The location is great. I DON'T recommend this hotel, it was disappointing to say the least.
