Reviews
if you consider CLEANESS most important, please avoid staying here even for 1 night.
A. cleaness
1. at first, the room looked clean. but i found small spider webs at the corner of the room on both up & downside and i removed them.
2. as you see the photos, i found 2 bedbugs crawling along the desk. please look at the photos. i found one on my first day and the other one 3 days later.
3. the shower booth pipe is extremely dirty and it was the reason why the water was a bit clogged for the first time.
4. the glass cups and bottle for refilling water had stinky and disgusting smells so i never used them to drink water.
6. i found something dirty on one of the pillow covers.
7. i could also see dusts on the floor. there is a large vacuum cleaner on the hallway but i think it is hardly used.
-> the upper things i mentioned mean every staff is not sanitory and their room cleaning service is changing towels, replacing the bed sheet (but they do not check if there is any dirt), emptying the trash can only.
they never clean the floor, wipe out the dusts on all desk, shelves, closet etc.
B. Staff (Receptionist)
when i checked in, a female receptionist with short blonde hair was very kind and she helped me frequently such as lending me a multiple socket and continuous care.
but from the following days, i found other staff were not as kind as the woman i described.
i especially disliked a fat male receptionist (at that time, he was wearing a red shirt with ibis logo) due to the way he treated me. his rude and arragant way of speaking touched my nerve.
i complained about terrible room cleaning service at that time because nothing had been cleaned up and he said sorry and tried to offer me a welcome drink as an apology for that.
however, the way he spoke sounded like commanding me because he said i had to bring that drink from novotel hotel by myself despite their fault, which made me feel uncomfy.
it was extremely disappointing and i still really dislike his attitude.
"DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS IS A GOOD WAY OF APOLOGY EVEN THOUGH IT WAS YOUR FAULT - YOU NEVER TOLD ME I SHOULD REQUEST A ROOM CLEANING SERVICE?
AND WHY SHOULD I ADDITIONALLY REQUEST IT? ALTHOUGH I PUT A SIGN - PLEASE MAKE UP MY ROOM?
ARE YOU GUYS UNABLE TO READ THE SENTENCES REGARDING ROOM CLEANING / DO NOT DISTURB?"
AND ALL OF YOU SPEAK SLIGHTLY DIFFERENTLY AND IT SEEMED THAT YOU HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE HOTEL POLICY.
C. FACILITY
1. hair dryer
as you can see the attached video, the shape is weird and it is hard to keep using as it stops running every time i hold and move a hair dryer all around my hair.
so i had to keep pulling the hose not to make it stop again.
2. ventilator
also, i was uncomfy about it on the ceiling.
a staff told me it was installed for safety but it seemed not thay helpful. and i could see a bunch of dust inside on both air conditioning and ventilator. it was very noisy even at night so i barely could slept.
D. HOTEL POLICY
1. although the reception runs for 24 hours every day, when i got to the hotel at around 11:30 pm, the main entrance door had been locked and never opened. i was embarrassed how to get in and a receptionist helped me and said i had to tap the card next to the main entrance door, which any staff didn't advise me.
2. also, as per room cleaning service policy, even though i placed a sign on the doorknob - please clean my room, they ignored it and said IT'S ONLY AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST AT THE RECEPTION.
i think it is so weird because every room cleaning staff implements cleaning the room as soon as they see the sign at the door.
but no one didn't clean the room at all and they just put the new towels on the chair far from the bathroom, which made me startled.
i have stayed a few ibis hotels in other countries, and this one was the worst hotel for these reasons and i never recommend anyone to stay here.
Thanks for the hospitality!
Room and toilet have slippery floor - not so good.
Bar with good drink-card and enthusiastic bartender at hotel - good thing 👍 Highly apriciated 😎
