Disappointing Stay - False Advertising of Air Conditioning Made for a Sleepless Night
My recent stay at Hotel Bulwar in Toruń was unfortunately a great disappointment, primarily due to a significant discrepancy between the hotel's advertised amenities and the reality of our room. We booked this hotel specifically because it was advertised as having air conditioning, a feature we considered essential for a comfortable August stay.
Upon entering our room, we were immediately hit by a wave of stuffy, hot air. The room was uncomfortably warm, and to our dismay, the "air conditioning" was either nonexistent or completely non-functional. It was a miserable and sweaty experience. We quickly realized we had a difficult choice to make: either bake in the stuffy, still air or open the window.
We chose to open the window in a desperate attempt to get some air circulation. However, this immediately brought in another problem: noise. The hotel is situated near a lively bar, and the loud music and chatter from outside made it impossible to sleep. We were caught between a rock and a hard place—either a hot, stuffy room or a noisy one.
The combination of the sweltering heat and the relentless noise made it nearly impossible to get any rest. We spent a frustrating and sleepless night. It's truly a shame, as the hotel's location is lovely and the staff seemed pleasant, but the false advertising of such a crucial amenity completely overshadowed any positives.
Hotel Bulwar should be upfront and honest about its room features. Without proper air conditioning and with the noise from the nearby bar, the room was simply not fit for a comfortable night's stay during the summer. I would caution future travelers to be aware of this issue before booking.

I stayed at 404 room for two night.
1. Breakfast: excellent.
2. Location: very good for sightseeing in torun.
3. Service and Room condition: unsatisfied. Airconditioner does not work properly. Complainimg it and front desk told me that it had fixed, but it was not when co.ming back from my tour. Second day morning, manager promosed me either fix it or change the room. After coming back from my schedule around 1000pm with very tired, front girl told me that the owner told her that the air-conditioner had fixed, so ok to use the room. However, it was not. I simply do not understand why the staffs keeped avoiding to solve it. Maybe they expect that I will be out soon, and another guest also stays only some nights, so no problem for taking advantage from the guest.

We had a perfect stay! Starting with the welcoming broad smile of the receptionist who served us so nicely! Like all the other staff - the bartender and the servers during breakfast.

A Delightful Stay on the Vistula River!
Our recent stay at Bulwar Hotel was an absolute delight, especially during the 4th of July celebrations. The hotel's commitment to providing a family-friendly environment was evident, with a strict no-smoking policy in its gardens and terraces. This policy made it a perfect setting for families with children, ensuring a clean and healthy atmosphere for everyone.
The location of the hotel is phenomenal. The hotel is within walking distance to the city's main attractions, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing.
One of the standout features of this hotel is its exceptional staff. Fluent in English and incredibly friendly, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From helpful tips on local attractions to prompt and courteous service, the staff truly made us feel welcome and well-cared for.

Pros: location next to old town, nice looking hotel, reception area looks modern and fresh, all staff very helpful and friendly, spacious room overlooking river
Cons: no coffee machine/kettle in room, small thin cheap towels in bathroom, breakfast not great, room was so hot and stuffy so we had to keep opening the window and then the noise from outside was annoying.

The rooms are adequate, but you have no control of the A/C or heat. Our room was so hot that we would sweat all night and wasn’t able to sleep. When we approached the service desk we were told someone has to come in and adjust it and they are not available, so here we are again on vacation trying to relax and are miserable. I would not recommend staying here. We have two more nights in the sweat box

One of the best hotels I've been to in Poland. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable!
Great saunas included in the price which is wonderful too.
Breakfast was best I've seen in Poland as well.
Only downside is the absolute lack of outlets in the room. Makes it hard to charge phone next to bed, etc

Great service, decent food, cool location. But if you go for a view avoid #room106 that brings a bit of medievial perspective...
