Reviews
On a positive note, the breakfast was delicious, especially the omelette on Sunday morning, but that’s about the only positive part of my stay. Given the noise on Saturday night, I honestly would not stay at this hotel again even for free. It’s a real shame because the hotel itself has great potential, but the lack of customer service and the noise completely ruined my experience.
Nice comfortable rooms. Checked in on Christmas, knowing it was Christmas, and called a day ahead asking what my dining options were. Was told there is a reservation only buffet that requires prepayment. Fine, I don't care, I need to eat. Prepayment options consistented of Polish only banking options which don't work if you're not Polish so I was told too bad despite offering to pay pash upon arrival or anything that would ensure I could eat. Tough luck was the abridged answer. Unfortunately the restaurant called Salt was open until 17:00 and I arrived at 16:00 something so I didn't starve to death but the food was mediocre at best and way overpriced wine was a half pour at best, maybe quarter. I'm no stranger to the finer things if I'm getting value and I most certainly did not as the food was concerned. Changed went to the pool area around 19:00 and was told they were closing (Christmas?) Didn't ask, just rolled my eyes. Place left a sour taste in my mouth. Room was very comfortable and clean as were common areas. No English TV, not even one channel. All staff spoke amazing English. Do better guys, it's a nice place won't take much to make it great
The building itself already looks very outdated and nothing like on pictures, inside…well the reception desk looks fine, rooms are okeish, but the spa is ridiculously outdated. It gives you a feeling of a very old place. The swimming pool and spa in theory is quite rich in choice but the quality and cleanliness is far from good.
Working hours - until 21, but you should leave at 20:45, but the employees turn off the saunas already at 20:30.
The TV in the room is very old, really…in less star hotels they place newer ones. The hairdryer was a disaster - very weak and you have to push the button constantly so that it works. It reminded me of hostels.
On Saturday there was a wedding and it was super loud at night - not a thing you would expect when go to SPA to relax. It was exactly on our side of the room! Luckily after I complained we were moved for the night to another room, but it meant we had to go to another place at night just to take a bit better sleep. Still far from perfect as the music could be heard as well, and we were just next to lifts which were loud and people used them the whole night. I got a much worse sleep than in any other hotel or at home. They tried - the room they gave us was the best one, I checked and its rate is 1700 PLN, however tbh I have been to hotels with such rates per night and the quality is incomparable. At this hotel they simply overcharge you.
I would like to underline that if a hotel expects to hold a wedding, they shall accommodate other guests adequately from the very beggining and not just try to fix the mess later.
The positive point is the location, which indeed is great - very close to the old town.
The service at the reception desk was very kind and they really wanted to help us better sleep - we appreciate that. It is just that the management shall be better.
