Maneetel Krabi Beachfront-SHA Plus Mini-hotel

The two rooms we were assigned, one had sewage smell and another crawling with ants. They agreed to “upgrade” the room with sewage smell for one night and then change the room back to the room we’d booked and the room crawling with ants, they’ll change the sheets and then they’ll like us to see if the ants are coming back. We don’t want to take our chances of wait and see with the ants or face the hassle of moving rooms. We requested for a cancellation and refund.

The hotel, though is in a good part of town, but it’s old. The sea view that you’re paying for is not worth the “hype” as it is in front of the street and pool, where you’ll hear all the traffics (loud motorcycles speeding after midnight) and screaming children in the pool at 7am, E.V.E.R.Y.D.A.Y. You’ll be much better off with the garden view which is quieter, I think. Or a newer hotel at the same price, 10 minutes drive away.

We were trying to cancel our trip through Trip.com, which unfortunately had a third party to book with the hotel and we had to wait 2 hours for a resolution. Finally the hotel agreed to accommodate us into, I believe, their biggest room throughout the entire 4 nights of our stay (the one with Jacuzzi and sea view). We were more than happy if they could either just give us the same size room without the smell or ants or without the sea view but they were fully booked that weekend and were reluctant to “upgrade” us for our entire stay. We just don’t need the hassle of moving rooms.

I have never rated a hotel below a 4 before. And the fact this hotel cost more and was in disarray says a lot
Not to mention when I was checking out I noticed that there was a security camera screen showing the beds of the rooms on the bottom floor that I stayed in. (See photo)

Their fake grass is loose and easy to trip on , their safes don't work and they brought me one that could be carried and they keep a key.

One of my sons money was taken from the room.

They charged us $5 for a plate that fell during breakfast yet they have nowhere to set plates at their buffet.
I have managed a restaurant and I know those plates are under $1 not to mention budgeted.

Shower heaters can't keep the water warm and have broken sills and rough edges you can get cut on.

In my opinion no nobody should ever stay here. The buffet staff is nice but the management and counter staff are rudest people I e ever dealt with.
