Hilton Garden Inn Phuket Bang Tao - SHA Extra Plus

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. A special shoutout to Ms. Jaja, the Guest Experience Manager, who made my check-in process so smooth and hassle-free, she’s truly a gem!

The hotel is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with super comfy beds, I slept very well during my stays. Loved the rooftop pools, perfect spot to relax and unwind. The food was delicious, a great variety of options.

Staff were attentive and professional, especially during Electric Daisy Carnival, everything was handled efficiently with a smile. They gave awesome recommendations, all in all, their hospitality was top-notch.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, great location, and welcoming hotel in Phuket, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We really liked the hotel and it was a perfect option for a temporary stay for a few nights. The service was great for a 4 star hotel and in our opinion was consistently on a 5 star level. We would like to highlight the entire team at the reception and at the pool bar.

We would particularly like to emphasize the excellent value for money when booking with Hilton Honors points, where you get the fifth night for free and thus get an really affordable stay even in the high season, far cheaper than when booking at regular overnight rates. As Hilton Diamond members, we also received a small upgrade from the booked Twin Guest Room to a King Guest Room despite the hotel being at full capacity.

Excellent staff, very friendly and efficient. Good location in Laguna complex. Very comfortable bed and bathroom and the breakfast is good. Evening dinner service just okay. The hotel is not so well designed, the approach to the hotel on a slope and not spacious, ergonomically things like the safe placed very low down and surprising that for a Hilton they have no security or bell boys. Pool has quite a cheap finish. However it is international standard in a part of Phuket in very high demand.

UPDATE Now that we are back home I decided to update my review from 1 star to 4 stars after all, as the experienced check-in problem was basically the only issue during our 10-day stay. The room was very nice, wonderful view, not too noisy, fantastic bed (!), very good restaurant and room service, fantastic rooftop, overall very efficient and friendly service. Apart from the check-in (we actually received a little f&b voucher and an apology for this) and maybe a little dust in public corridors, all great and generally recommend! Thanks to all the welcoming staff!

I was thinking how to go about this, as we are still staying here and are generally satisfied. BUT. The check-in unfortunately was the worst experience ever. We arrived at 10 am on Sunday morning after a very VERY long trip and an overnight flight (as most of the guests I guess), EXHAUSTED is not enough of a word to describe the feeling. And yeah a perfectly polite reception lady showed ZERO flexibility and made us wait for our room for 5 HOURS, until 3 pm, which is an official check-in time. The only option we got in order to check in earlier was a room without balcony, although we paid for one. I asked if we could switch the room a day or two later and again the perfectly polite answer was “no”, so my husband did not agree to that. We ended up falling asleep on the reception couch like homeless people because we just couldn’t keep our eyes open anymore, oh I felt humiliated. After traveling 16 countries and countless hotels it was the first. A shock I would say. I will obviously have a strong word with my travel agency, but Hilton?!?.. how come?..

Overall: My two-month stay at Hilton Garden Inn Phuket Bang Tao felt like I was living in a home away from home. The hotel's friendly atmosphere, clean facilities, and convenient location made it the perfect place for my work project.

Positive Aspects:

Cleanliness and Comfortable: The hotel was always sparkling clean, from my room to the common areas. The pillow is so soft! (in a great way)
Easy Access to the City: The hotel's location near the boat lagoon, along with the convenient shuttle service, made it a breeze to explore Bangkok.
Fitness Fanatic's Dream: The hotel's fitness center was spacious, well-equipped, and they open 24hours.
Rooftop Relaxation: The rooftop bar and pool were the perfect spots to unwind and soak up the city views.
A Warm Welcome: The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home.

Minor Considerations:

Roomy Rooms: While the rooms were comfortable, they might be a bit snug for longer stays.
City Sounds: Rooms facing the street might experience some traffic noise.

This hotel absolutely exceeds expectations. The room, staff and amenities are all amazing. A special shoutout to Kig who went above and beyond to make our stay a special one, always smiling and very, very helpful. The location of the hotel is super convenient, only a short shuttle bus ride or walk to the beach or shopping area. The hotel also provides bicycles to ride around - which was super nice and made for some fun experiences. The cocktail making/ mixology class is also a must-do; really good value and you get to learn how to make some delicious drinks, right in the hotel restaurant/ bar. We will definitely be back, and thanks again to Kig and all of the staff for an amazing and memorable visit!!

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Bang Tao was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the open concept of the lobby immediately made us feel like we were on vacation. The genuine hospitality of everyone made us feel at home.

The room was and was maintained super clean throughout and the bed felt like a cloud – the upmost comfort - what more could we wish for?!The restaurant and breakfast staff were on point, offering a variety of American and Thai dishes that allowed us to discover Thai cuisine with a little twist every day. Their attentiveness and genuine care made each meal special and the management was 5🌟+

A special mention goes to Denis at the reception who truly elevated our experience in Phuket. He genuinely wished to make our stay memorable by providing tailored recommendations that met our needs as travelers. His friendly nature and helpful guidance made a significant difference in our trip.

The chauffeur provided convenient rides all day to Boat Avenue for day and night life, as well as back and forth to the beautiful Bang Tao beach. The surrounding area was magical/breathtaking for morning walks in the lagoon park.

We will truly miss this authentic place and the wonderful people who made our stay so memorable.

You pay a third or even less of the price of, say, the Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport, and you do so on Phuket in a good location. The service is good - really friendly staff throughout all of the hotel, including the restaurant. The rooftop pool is lovely, we spend quite a few hours there reading, relaxing and swimming. However, there are drawbacks - the build quality of the hotel is not great. We were initially "upgraded" to a room with balcony on the third floor. Apart from it being a bit smelly, the balcony was out to the street with no view and it was very loud at night. We requested a different room and were placed on the 7th floor, no upgrade/balcony but better room. The view out back is nice, see picture. Again, there were some drawbacks, the walls are thin so you sleep at the mercy of your neighbors/earplugs (which I used every night), and we had a clicking sound from an electrical switchboard in the closet that was permanent. Overall, there is not much they can do about the noise, of course, and I'm not quite sure Hilton wants to be associated here, but that's their decision of course. Breakfast had a few nice options - the omelet was quite tasty, and there are is a decent mix of Asian and Western options. Quality is not that good, though (strawberry "jam" is mostly a sugary reddish mash), which, again, is understandable at the price point. I booked based on the reviews, but I recommend paying a bit more as there are ample options.
One thing about the location: Bang Tao Beach is excellent, uninterrupted walking, quite the tropical paradise despite the many beach clubs (with good food, too).
3.5 stars based on the good service and the affordable price point?

Hotel staff Pan was exceptional. Minutes after my review, she called my room and personally came to my room to offer change of room, and laundry services as part of the hotel service. She really tried to make me feel comfortable during the rest of my stay. I was impressed by the attention of personnel from this hotel. If Pan is there, feel confident that you will have a splendid stay. She will make sure of it. Definitely will be back if she is there. 👌
