Baan Hin Sai Resort & Spa - SHA Extra Plus

The hotel's location, ambiance, and breakfast were an incredible experience. Even though we stayed in a standard room, everything was excellent. Netflix was available on the TV. The breakfast area truly has a magnificent view. Breakfast is available in all varieties. We also had dinner there. The restaurant's prices are reasonable. Its proximity to nature is a great advantage.There is 2 different swimming pools. The second one has a sea view and was very fun to swim in.The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. You can get around the hotel by golf cart. I would love to stay longer. We will definitely be back.

Great hospitality, very friendly and helpful receptionist. The agent booked the wrong room for us and did nothing to help, even told me to pay extra for a room upgrade even though I already paid for it. However, the hotel was very nice and accommodated to us. I feel really grateful for them and making the trip better after I had a bad experience from the agent.

Would definitely recommend to people finding a peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

We stayed for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and big enough for a family of three. The view from our room was fantastic. Thank you for a great stay.

The location is top notch, carefully spread out villas throughout the little jungle, beautiful. Gorgeous views, restaurant located on the top of a cliff, fresh fruit available for breakfast, they have shows and many touristic opportunities to be explored, flyers available at reception.

It’s beautiful and very good but a little bit far of everything

Amazing staff ( girl at the front desk tonight upgraded our room for free). Great start. Right by the beach, access to sister resort as well. The bungalows are spacious and AC is comfortable. It’s a quiet stay away from all the businesses but you can get to the main areas within 10 minutes drive. Would recommend:) great price, great service

ALL of the staff are incredible and very accommodating. Sunny was the highlight of our visit!! The grounds are nice and well kept. The only negative was the cleanliness of the room. The grout in the tub/shower were moldy and there was a ring in the toilet. The bathroom sink drained very slow, and there were also stains on the duvet that looked like blood.

The stuff was so kind, they helped us a lot with everything! Location was great amazing view to the sea and next to beautiful Coral Bay. Rooms were great, everything made from wood but in our room we had some humidity, we left one window open to have fresh air. Overall we like the hotel..

Our stay at Baan Hin Sai Resort was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the mixed reviews. The service was outstanding—despite some reviews mentioning rude staff, we experienced nothing but warmth and helpfulness. Even the lady who had been singled out in previous reviews for her attitude was incredibly welcoming and friendly during our visit.

The location is a bit far from the main attractions, but the staff at the front desk provided helpful tips on getting around. We were able to flag down one of the local red buses to the city center for just 100 baht per person, which is much cheaper than using a Bolt (350-400 baht). It’s also close to Coral Cove, a fantastic spot for snorkeling where you can rent gear for 100 baht and see plenty of fish and some corals, especially if you can dive deep.

The resort feels like it was originally built with luxury in mind, but it has since settled into more of a regular resort experience. The rooms show signs of wear—scratched floors, missing or broken tiles—but it all adds a certain charm. Despite this, the villa was spacious, clean, and offered great value for money. Daily fresh towels and room cleaning were provided, which was a nice touch.

We did encounter some mosquitoes due to gaps in the windows, but that’s to be expected in a tropical setting. Ordering food via Grab was easy; just have it delivered to the front desk, and they’ll bring it to your room. The resort even offers a convenient golf cart service to help guests up the steep hill between the villas and reception.

All in all, from a backpacker's perspective, Baan Hin Sai Resort offers excellent value. It’s not the luxury resort it may have once aimed to be, but it’s a charming and affordable option with friendly service and beautiful surroundings.
