I was initially very skeptical and overwhelmed with the plethora of hotel options available, but I am so glad I found and chose to stay at this hotel! The pool is pristine—so clean and clear that it’s a joy to swim in. The bar staff are incredibly attentive, ensuring that you have everything you need to relax and enjoy your time.

The location is fantastic, providing easy access to Patong for a fun night out while still offering a peaceful retreat. The drinks and cocktails from the bar are wonderfully refreshing, perfect for sipping by the pool or beach. The restaurant food is absolutely delicious and should not be missed.

I spent my days happily divided between the beach and the swimming pool. The staff were consistently kind, smiley, and attentive. Whenever I needed something, they were quick to make helpful suggestions and ensure my needs were met.

Overall, this hotel provided an exceptional experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay!

Once arrived we got put in a deluxe room in which the shower water back flowed and didn’t drain properly. The handles of the shower have fallen out of the walls and were rusty. It would need a whole renovation. After a complaint we got moved to the pool view room which was lots better (There are two different buildings within the resort, one is much better than the other! Make sure you are at the large pool when you book it) but all our belongings felt damp by the end of our stay (7 nights) and there was mold stains on the curtains. You get what you pay for I reckon. It’s just that we have gotten better places for the same money previously. Also the massage place, bar and restaurant are very overpriced. Furthermore it’s not beachfront, it’s NEAR the beach .. you actually have to cross a road and walk a few minutes to get to Kamala beach.
Staff was friendly and helpful though.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The location is absolutely ideal—just a few steps away from the beach, allowing for easy and frequent beach visits. Additionally, there are local shops and a food market conveniently located next to and in front of the hotel, making it easy to grab anything you might need or want.

The room was exceptionally spacious and impeccably clean. The design and surroundings make you feel like you’re in a serene jungle oasis, which added a unique and relaxing touch to my stay. As someone who is very particular about accommodations, I can confidently say this hotel ticks all the boxes.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Their warmth and attentiveness truly made a difference.

The breakfast offered was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to all tastes and preferences.

Overall, this hotel provided an outstanding experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect beachside getaway!

As a guest from a communist country, I can catch more than 50🪰 by hand. But Imagine, how guests from Western like USA or Canada would feel. Finally, I found the reason, the 🪰flies (not bug🐛) from outside (too many trees in tropical). Just simply keep the bathroom windows shut would solve the problem, as the room itself is not an issue.

Overall, hotel itself is still very good, with a prime and convenient location offering great value for money. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Recommended

THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL. I honestly can’t even give it 4 stars. The rooms are dated. The pool is in disrepair and the breakfast is serviceable at best.

Our room was infested with bugs so requested another room. The guy at the service desk said they will send someone to clean it up and if the bugs came back they would give me another room.

And of course the bugs came back within literal minutes so they gave us another room which they should’ve done to begin with. I felt like I had to prove to the staff that there really was a big problem.

I give the breakfast a 6.5/10. The omelette station was good. The only saving grace.

Dispute the bug situation, the staff was very friendly but I’ll give them three stars. The fact that they didn’t immediately switch rooms for me ruined the experience.

The hotel is okay if you can get it for cheap. Don’t expect much though.

The princess Kamala Beach resort is a beautiful oasis like property. The mature trees are fabulous and the best thing about the property to me. What I didn't like was the poor choice of materials for the remodel. Now, in a time of climate change I don't understand why one of the pools would be tiled in black. Also there's two color themes at this resort there's a neutral tile scheme and then there's a black and white scheme. The black and white scheme increases the heat significantly off the pavers. There's also black paint on all the railings which makes them too hot to touch. We know that asphalt, tile color and other forms of surfaces increase the heat from 20 to 60°F higher than the ambient temperature. In Phoenix Arizona last year 100% of the burn ward was filled up with people that fell on hot asphalt. With that in mind I don't understand why the princess Kamala is painting their railings in black, putting in a black and white floor with a black border and having a black tiled pool. Neutral tones don't get as hot. The pool deck is so hot we couldn't walk barefoot on it. Lastly, my room, 328 has the bathroom glass door hanging incorrectly so it opens inward instead of outward. It consistently knocks off the handheld shower head. If you are a large person you wouldn't be able to get in and walk around the door to close it. Both the shower head and the two pieces of artwork are hung over 6 ft off the ground instead of at eye level. That means that the shower is shooting up over my head, I'm 5'7. I had to stand so close to the wall , water seeped between the glass and the wall since there is no silicon gasket and moved out onto the sink stand as well as the shelf around the toilet. The artwork was also placed between the TV and the sitting area instead of over the sitting area which made no sense whatsoever. The attention to detail is completely missing. Lastly the new flooring they put in has several quarter inch gaps between the vinyl plank. The quarter inch gaps will quickly fill up with dirt. In addition the vinyl flooring is on a one two pattern instead of a one five pattern so all the seams are very obvious. Again, a complete lack of attention to detail. It's too bad the resort is large in size and again has mature trees and has such unique possibilities but with this current owner I can't see it ever reaching its potential.

While Princess Kamala Resort may not boast a five-star rating anymore, it still offers good value for your money. The resort's prime location in Kamala is unbeatable, with easy access to amenities like 7 Eleven, Big C supermarket, bars, restaurants, and massage services. It's just a short stroll across the road and over the green bridge to reach the beach and more restaurants.

The hardworking staff go above and beyond to ensure guests have a pleasant stay, so it's important to reciprocate kindness. The pool access rooms are great, and the daily cleaning staff are always cheerful and friendly. The buffet-style breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options, including plenty of fresh fruit.

Coffee lovers will appreciate the resort's coffee shop, "On the Beach Café," where Sartre and her team serve up delightful hot and cold brews in air-conditioned comfort.

During our 14-night stay, we found ourselves enjoying Princess Kamala Resort more with each passing day. While it may not meet the standards of a five-star resort due to signs of aging of the resort and the pool in need of maintenance, our experience was nothing short of wonderful.
It's fair to say that Princess Kamala Resort is more accurately a three-star establishment, but that didn't detract from our overall enjoyment.

I don’t know what’s with all the bad reviews..The hotel is very nice, close to the beach and to other facilities, including a market. The rooms are clean, the pool is pretty large and clean, with an bar. The gym is decent for a hotel. The breakfast has many options to choose from: eggs, meat, vegetables, pastry, fruits, coffee, juice etc. AC was working well…maybe a bit noisy. Nothing to complain.

Me and my family were supposed to stay here for 10 days. We ended up staying 1 night before booking a new hotel. This is NOT a five star hotel. I would rather classify it as a motel.

Here are the bulletpoints from our experience:

- Extremely dirty room overall, specifically bed sheets and walls are dirty.

- Clogged shower drain, sewer smell from the bathroom.

- Mosquitoes were free to enter our room through holes in the front door and an unprotected bathroom window. When asked to add a mosquito cover on our open bathroom window, a towel was provided to cover the open windows. This is laughable.

- We found a paper bag of molded bread stuffed behind the TV. Shouldn’t the staff notice this when cleaning?

- The gym had 1 out of 3 usable threadmills, no towels provided for cleaning sweat off gym equipment.

- The breakfast was a depressing affair after a long night in a dirty, smelly room getting bit by mosquitoes.

- The hotel only offer one key per room, leaving every guest with a logistics problem should you want to run separate errands during your stay.

Confronting the reception about our experience, we were offered «better» rooms, however, they were still dirty, and mosquitoes thrived here as well.

As you can see, this is far from a five star experience. My advice is to stay away from Princess Kamala if you want a worryfree vacation in Kamala.

After reading the reviews, I regretted my decision to stay here, especially as I was travelling with family. However, I have been pleasantly surprised! Okay, it's not a 5 star resort, so forget it if that's what you want. The rooms are standard, but cleaned every day, have hot water, and the beds are comfortable! The staff speak a little English but they are attentive and very nice to you! The pool is cloudy, but we swam safely for 2 weeks and no issues! The beach is across the road, this is fine and takes 2 mins to get there. You will be happy here. it's a huge resort and offers a safe and comfortable stay. I would recommend it as a family. However, it's not 5 stars, so just bear this in mind when you book. Location is perfectly situated next to restaurants and a small night market.
