The Moracea is a hotel in the Khao Lak area that offers great rooms at reasonable prices. The Hotel is situated on the coast with its own beach front where you can play in the sea to your heart's content or there are enough pools to relax by if that's your style. I came here for my honeymoon and it's been nothing short of amazing. The staff are never more than a phone call away, and nothing is too much to ask. My experience has been stellar because of the Thai people and their lovely way of life. It's amazing to see how the Thai locals have rebuilt from the Indian Ocean Tsunami back in the 2000s. I will happily return back here when I can.

I have no words to describe how amazing this resort was!
Spent our honeymoon here and everything was perfect! From the gorgeous room, scenic location and views, private beach and gorgeous pools, to the amazing breakfast buffet and friendly staff, everything was truly great!
Highly recommend this resort for a memorable and relaxing time in Thailand!

Had the most amazing experience here! First time visiting with my partner and we didn't want to leave. The hotel and staff were so amazing and attentive. Our room was spotless every day. The food was superb and the staff were honestly so friendly and amazing. Nothing was an issue. Will 100% be back here. Highly recommend x

We loved our stay!! The staff and in particular the bar and restaurant staff really made you feel welcome and were so friendly! Great Pools and a fantastic restaurant. There are a lot of stairs and hills so please be aware of this if you have mobility difficulties. It was amazing being so close to the ocean and the pool at the same time! We would definitely return.

Stayed for two nights during low season, the breakfast room was still full of people. Very cozy rooms, tasty food and a beautiful beach. Not far from the local street with tons of food options and touristy shopping opportunities. Too far to walk for the most part, but taxis are always available. My only wish was for a better equipped gym.

The hotel is set on a beautiful beach, with lush green scenery. It's perfect for anyone seeking a more peaceful and relaxing getaway. The hibiscus room was very spacious and comfortable and I was impressed with the level of service I received. From beginning to end the service was organised and professional and the staff were so friendly. The rates are very affordable and ours included delicious free cocktails, a meal, massage and transfer from the airport. The nearest 7/11 is only a 10 minute walk away aswell as some pretty waterfalls and an elephant sanctuary a short drive away.

The condition of the room was okay. It was reasonable for the price. I love the view from the restaurant. I also love the foods. Anyway, I had fruit smoothie which i expected to be the real fruit but it was not 🥹. All in all they’ve got good spots for sunset! And I would recommend this place and i will come back for sure.

The staff was very kind to us.
We had a disproportionate amount of mosquitoes in our room (We can compare to other hotels). We asked for it to be taken care of, they tried but nothing helped. It was very bad…
The travel agent in the hotel was very professional and recommended a great day trip to Surin Islands.

All in all an excellent resort in a great location.
The newer, more expensive rooms nearer the sea are fantastic; the older, cheaper ones in blocks further back are sadly not very well maintained. They could be great with a bit of TLC.
The thing that lets this place slip is the insistence on playing quite loud music at certain times throughout the day in different areas (when I questioned it the manager said it was to signal happy hour at each bar). We didn’t have dinner included thankfully. The buffet experience looked awful. It was akin to eating your dinner in a nightclub. But maybe Europeans genuinely like that as it was always busy. There are excellent (and peaceful) dining options nearby, especially Leela Restaurant on the beach.

Nice located hotel with a beautiful beach where you can enjoy the wonderful ocean as well as beautiful sunset. Good breakfast with a wide choice of foods, good dinner as well, menu is more western oriented. The staff was everywhere very friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The village where you find various restaurants and shops is in walking distance...
