Resting Place Ko Yao Yai Hostel

We had the pleasure of staying at the Resting Place and wow is all I can say!! Upon arrival we had fresh juice waiting for us as well as the option for scooter rental. The owner coordinated pick up from the pier and had our AC waiting for us in our bungalows. 10/10 would recommend this spot to anyone!! After check out the owner organized a boat to take us back to Phuket and had someone waiting in Phuket to drive us privately directly to the airport. We found a lot of places in Thailand didnt completely deliver as advertised but this bungalow exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be coming back next year 🙂

Mr Yon was very helpful and very friendly when helping us with arranging transport and with all the little things. The rooms have a nice view on the sea and the breakfast was pleasant. Room facilities were good, but maybe it would be good to prevent the mosquitos from entering the bathroom.

A wonderful little hotel set in the hills of Koh Yao yi. The rooms were lovely, with beautiful views out over the trees and water. A spacious balcony with a little table made the view easy to enjoy.

The beds were very comfortable, the rooms large, clean and modern.

The thing that really made this hotel was the manager Yon and his team. The service was amazing, and the best I had experienced in Thailand. Yon organised taxis, ferry tickets, a private boat for the day and gave great recommendations for our exploration around the island. The breakfast that was prepared was delicious and plentiful.

Clean and comfortable rooms with good size bathrooms. Great balcony and just a perfect view to the sea and Pha Nga bay islands. Good service, good new scooters for rent for ok price. Will come again.

Boutique Hotel close to the Island Pier. Room is newer and tastefully decorated. Room is clean. Great service. Wifi. Hot water. Owners were very accommodating when we requested an early breakfast so we can leave early to catch the ferry.

Resting Place Ko Yao Yai is a cozy resort with five rooms. The resort is runned by a very friendly family. They do everything to make sure your visit is perfect. They gave us free coconuts, asked so many times if everything was okay and brought us to the pier when we had to leave. The rooms (houses) were located on a hill with a nice view. The room was big, clean and had everything we needed. They had new and well maintained motorbikes for rent. The island itself is very beautiful.

We loved Resting Place so much! Very clean modern rooms, beautiful panoramic view from the balcony. Upon arrival we were greeted with mango juice and fresh coconuts. Wonderful family run establishment. Their hospitality is unmatched. They were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming! The restaurant serves delicious seafood and Thai cuisine, along with American options like sandwiches and pasta. Try the fried snapper or the crab! It’s amazing. Overall the best food of our trip!

Very nice family run hotel. Family were very welcoming and friendly they had lovely hospitality. Although it's a bit if a drive to the nearest beach (maybe 10-20 minutes) you can rent out scooters from them and travel the whole island. Many beaches to see. Hotel rooms are very new and quite nice to stay in. In the evening you can look out at the water and surrounding island. Would stay again :)
