Where to stay in Koh Yao Yai

Staff are nice, breakfast service was exceptionally horrendous - would reccomend walking down (right) the beach to buy local food, even if it means you pay a little more.

The hotel rooms have attached the swimming pool. Also good! Restaurant meals in General, team live more.

Great view,wonderful swimming pool connect lots of rooms, and have evening show allow guest sign freely, but night sea food barbecue price much higher than down town . Great view anyway.

Located on an island. Speedboat access limited to 8am to 5pm. Beautiful views, wonderful beaches. Relaxing, calming and tranquil environment. Good food in the resort and locally. Masjid next to the resort.

The Yao Yai Beach resort is a fantastic little hotel at a wonderful white sand beach. We spent one week in a spacious pool vila with a separate sleeping room for our two kids - we really loved it and can highly recommend this resort. We had the grand sea deluxe room, the view was amazing! Believe me, the hotels own pictures don't do justice for this place. Bed was soft and very comfy, I was happy because very firm beds give me back pain. Great AC, everything worked fine. Breakfast was okayish, perhaps not worth the money imo. Food and drinks are a tad overpriced, you can get much cheaper and better food from the local restaurants...

Amazing location. Probably one of my favorite beaches on the island. The view on my balcony was amazing with the pool below and blue waters! However, I wasn’t aware that my room shared the jacuzzi with the room next door and was surprised that there wasn’t hot water. Food was decent and the staff were kind but only 1 of them spoke decent English.

Probably one of the nicest places I've stayed.From the welcome, to the views, the hospitality, the service, the rooms...everything here is just really nice. Food and drinks, spa treatments etc etc on site are a little expensive but overall its just so nice just to stay here. This hotel is just awesome. We stayed in the beachfront bungalow just behind a little rice field. The beach is not the best but still. The 2 restaurants are great, and the staff is wonderful. If you want to rent motorbike they will call them for you. When you arrive at Koh Yao Yai Pier, someone will be there to drive you to the hotel.

The place is a bit more expensive then other resorts. But the food is stunning..try their masaman curry as this is an absolute favourite of mine. Stunning views on the islands around and good maintenance.

The resort is placed in a quiet and nice bay, the beach is good for swimming, even during low tide you can cool yourself in hip high water. The stuff at the restaurant was very friendly. The food was good, but as usual on this island we found the price for the size of the portion too high.

Would definitely recommend. The rooms were spacious. We got the one directly facing the sea opposite the road. The staff is kind. Our pickup for the ferry arrived a little earlier than expected while we were having our breakfast, but the staff made sure to pack us whatever we needed. You can also rent a bike directly from them. So no need to hunt for bike somewhere else.

Ok....nice pool and view, but it attracts a lot of noisy locals on holiday. Breakfast is buffet style so expect cold fried eggs. Bring your earplugs...Thais dont care what time it is and who they keep awake!

The staff has been very friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. The view is amazing, nothing can disturb your quiet even if the beach is not ideal to lay during the day. If you want to explore the island on your own you need to rent a scooter which is available at the resort.

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed it. The rooms look new and are super clean and comfy. Everything around the little huts looks beautiful and the owners are very sweet and helpful. You can wash and dry your laundry there and can rent new and well maintained scooters for 200 tbh a day. 10/10 :)
