The Palace is a relic. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant downstairs with late night karaoke is fun. The staff is helpful and polite, but it is far and far away from anything interesting in Bangkok.
The rooms were mainly empty when we were there, and there were small things wrong with each room, and the staff kept asking if we wanted to move to another room (lol).
We moved twice in our 2 day stay and decided to leave early and pay the extra money to abandon our last day there and instead got a room at Holiday Inn express.
I recommend you do something similar except avoid the Palace altogether.

The room that we had, the wifi, worked, but there was no internet. The sink in the bathroom would not turn off. Overall, it is just in bad repair

A nice hotel where their staff provide very courteous and highly professoinal services and the food is very delicious and reasonably priced

It's ok. Nothing more. Rooms are really dated as is the rest of the place. They are obviously oblivious to the dirty everything. No hot water for shower or bath and little water pressure to push it anyway. The lifts are scary. They drop several inches when you get in. The reception people don't speak English which is not helpful and neither do any of the staff. Definitely never again.

In my room, Room AC was making sound, charging plug were not working.. Shower was not working properly, hot water was not coming and even wifi was not working.

The hotel looks very very old building and everything inside it is old. Is not desired 3 stars. Old furniture everywhere including the rooms and everything was painted, when I go on balcony it was not clean from a long time.

The hotel is located in the quiet area of Nonthaburi province, not far from the Chao Phraya River, easy to go buy public bus and taxi. The hotel building is quite old but still renovated on some floor. The room is very clean and has a very good smell. An a/c is cool enough and very quiet all night. All 170 rooms have the windows and the balcony so you can see the good view from the room. The bathroom is quite small but it has the bath tub, hot and cold shower. Free Wi-Fi in room. Check-in is very fast and breakfast coupons are provided after check-in. Breakfast service in the restaurant on ground floor between 7 – 10 a.m. There is a various kind of food; Thai foods, stir fried noodle, toasts with butter and jam, scramble eggs, sausages, ham, fresh salad, rice gruel, muesli with fresh milk, fresh fruits, juices, coffee and tea.All of the foods are very delicious.

Stayed here 1 might. Place is decent, convenient location. Breakfast included, and there is another restaurant across street if you like. Also 7/11 is across street for all convenience needs.
