Reviews
We enjoyed the buffets with their wide selection of traditional dishes.
The rooms are a bit tired but still very comfortable. We stayed on the road side, which may be preferable for noise reasons. There are weddings on weekends which have music until roughly midnight. Staying on the ocean side would make noise more of an issue.
The service is excellent. Everyone was polite and helpful.
The poolside and beachfront are simply stunning. I have never felt so relaxed.
We want to come back next year.
Me and my family stayed last week at this hotel for a week, and it was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Here are the major issues we encountered:
Terrible Service: The service was appalling. The employees were poorly trained and seemed clueless about basic hospitality. They were unhelpful and often rude. Every day at the pool area they turned on very loud music and we asked every day several times to turn a bit down, because we where unable to have a conversation, neither the baby could have a sleep. They just speak turkish and do not understand you in any other language
Housekeeping Nightmare: Housekeeping ignored our requests and did not clean the rooms properly. Despite multiple complaints, the rooms remained dirty, and amenities were not replenished. We where 4 persons and got every time only 3 towls.
We arrived at the hotel during the night at 4 am and informed the hotel two days in advanced that we need to extra beds for our baby and 4 years old son. Nothing was prepared and it took 1 hour until we where able to go to bed. One afternoon i asked 3 times at the reception if they could change our bed, as the baby unfortunatelly throughed up, but 2 days nothing happened.
Exorbitant Drink Prices: The prices for drinks were outrageously high. We felt like we were being robbed every time we ordered a drink. A beer was 9€ a glas of wine 16€.
Bad quality of food: generally food in Turkey is amazing and I never ate that bad before in Turkey at all. Especially not for the prices the hotel is asking for a half board stay
Invoice Mix-up: The hotel staff managed to mix up our invoices. We asked them to correct the invoice before we left, but they did not managed that in 14 hours. After we checked out, they realized they had forgotten to invoice us for a significant amount. Instead of handling it professionally, they resorted to blackmail my sister who stayed a few days longer.
Blackmailing My Sister: My sister stayed longer than we did, and the hotel staff blackmailed her to pay our invoice. They refused to return her luggage until she paid, which was an utterly despicable and unethical move. We will react with legal measurements now.
Overall, this hotel provided a horrific experience from start to finish. I would strongly advise against staying here. Save yourself the headache and choose a different hotel!
Then they showed us a room which is in the middle of the car parking
We felt uncomfortable and we decided to leave the hotel because of the negative energy which they gave it to us .
Thanks again
We came for thermal spa and Turkish Hamam . The Hamam was closed as someone having a "private bath" 🤔ther was some more ...but i can't share it here. steam room wasn't working properly... no lights both cabins no hot enough. The only benefits from this hotel thermal jacuzzi and indoor pool.
THE FOOD was disgusting 🫣 (5 stars hotel) !!!!!!!!
THE ROOM !!!! - was terrible stinks cigarettes..... there's non smoking 🚭 hotel.
Staff were friendly and trying to cover the management issues.
We planned to stay for a few days but after all this we checked out immediately with negative feelings and stress 😩 .
This place ruined our "city break "
My husband asked for refund but they couldn't do it as the manager was out of office 🙄
The rooms are very old and used with flaws at every part you look at.
Cleanliness is very questionable. There is black mold in the shower and discolouration on the walls.
The room service will come even when you turned the electronic sign to “not disturb“. If you are not in your room they will enter it anyway. If you are in the room they will come 5 times anyway.
The rest of the hotel is in a similar condition. The elevator touch buttons barely work and the elevator is dirty. So are the walls in the halls. Some with stains of liquids.
The food is okayish but dull. It is boring and the choice of warm food is very limited.
Dishes with dough like pide I.e. are all soaked in steam and hard to cut/chew.
The only good thing is its location and view from a seaside room.
While this was an off-season visit at Boyalik and thus we had great access to incredibly beautiful Blue Flag waters, always available beach amenities and not crowded premises, the service we received defied the 5-star designation and it was nowhere near the $150 per night premium - which is an exorbitant amount for Turkiye and comes with -sadly unmet- expectations.
From serving shriveled up cucumbers at breakfast left over from dinner the night before, not listing and highlighting *any* of the common allergens in meals served, omitting dairy from ingredient lists, omitting ingredient lists altogether, not having any vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, etc options; keeping the omelette station closed throughout while directing guests there for custom orders (basically strategizing for them to eventually give up), haphazardly providing room service and skipping toilet bowl cleanings until notified, repeatedly staying unresponsive to dock service requests.. and I’d rather spend my time not trying to document others.. though my observations appear to be sadly in line with prior negative reviews..
All of these would be acceptable inconveniences at a no-name 3-star hotel. All of these are inacceptable at a historical establishment that Cesme should rather pride itself about. Hope this was a glitch given the off-season timing, but I will certainly not be returning
Its dining hall is jammed up when the hotel is full, as it was not designed to handle a 300 room hotel. There are dozens of 2 - 3 ft passageways, between the tables and even between or around the food stands. So, self-service dining becomes a challenge at best & an agony at worse instances.
In addition, the dining hall service personnel (rookie servers, jnr cooks, and even the snr cooks), won't usually give the right of way to guests. Some would not even say "excuse me" when they or you bump into each other while they are rushing around.
On top of all this, the food qualty is bearly average.
Rooms are fine but smaller than average. Corridors, bathrooms, furniture, lounges, windows, architecture, beach, etc are fine.
