What can I say this is yet another year we have stayed at Esra Hotel. If you look at other reviews you will see that people regularly complain about the food & I would support some of these complaints to a degree. This is the first time in many years of going to Esra that I would say that most of the food on offer was way too hot/spicy(too much chilli type products used) even for me & I can eat hot food. My husband on the other hand struggles with all this spice as it does not agree with him, only suggestion I would like to make is cut back on the chillies otherwise choices would be better. On a positive note we were always able to find something to eat & to be honest if we were looking for British food we would have eaten out or stayed in the UK. Can’t really comment on alcoholic drinks as we don’t drink but there is plenty of choice of soft drinks & hot drinks. Some people say that the hotel is dated but in our opinion it is definitely fit for purpose. The hotel is very clean both in public areas and the rooms, bedding, towels are changed regular the hotel also gives each of the rooms a bottle of water daily(we did not always use it). Our room was always clean and we could not thank our cleaner enough for the effort she made. The staff as always were brilliant and attentive, very willing to help where they could. Some people complained that around the pool was slippy but what would you expect people coming in & out of the pool soaking wet, we regularly saw the pool side staff doing their best to keep things dry( in my opinion an impossible task) Have to truly comment that on this visit it was great to see that the team had made efforts to ensure the music was not too loud, my husband has problems with his hearing and he found for the first time here it was pleasant to sit around the pool, where we could actually hear each talk. When we had a bit of an incident the team at the hotel were absolutely brilliant they came to our aid and arranged all the necessary help required(thank you so much for this) We will definitely try to return to hotel Esra in the future and would definitely recommend giving it a try. We do acknowledge that although not perfect Esra is a great place to stay where you can be guaranteed a clean room with comfortable beds and very warm welcome from Ali & his team. Be assured we have seen much worse places in the UK.

From the time u walk through the door until the time u leave u are made to feel like family. We were a party of 9 ages ranging from 11 to 86. Rooms were cleaned every day and the amazing cleaners made beautiful animals out of our towels out of our fresh towels. Food u couldn't fault, there was something for everyone, kids loved the snack bar with pizza nuggets burger hut it's while the adults mainly ate in the restaurant. We have been a few times and Chef, Hasan and their staff went above and beyond with their genuine friendliness and need to please guests. Bar staff again were amazing from Onur Deniz and everyone else, can not remember all there names but nothing was too much trouble for them. Pool guys were guys were constantly collecting empty glasses and tidying the area. Lazy boy as we called him the entertainer manger and his team were great, trying their best to involve the oldies as well lol. Selim the photographer captured the most amazing memories for us, A* service. Couldn't come away without the customery tattoos. Myself and my girls has matching and we were thrilled with them . Last but not least Ali the manger and his wonderful reception staff. Again nothing too much trouble, would go out of there way to help you out when/ if you need them. Thank you, made friends made for life. Will see you next September

Well were do I start hotel looked good on the outside at midnight, when we got inside it looked dated but ok got to our room 2 single beds that you couldn't push together went back down was told to come back in the morning was told north side all single beds and couldn't be pushed together which later on found this to be a lie we found this out by talking to others guests later on in the week and pool side double beds, we asked if we could upgrade and pay but was told no. Looking round hotel it was looking old I looked on Google last time it was renovated was 2011 so 14 years ago, it had been decorated so not all bad. Food nice and tasty but very little choice unless you want chips with every meal. Rooms not very clean pool water looked cloudy The staff sum of the staff ok but the rest just couldn't give a monkey I tried getting drinks after 7pm at the bar and was told not open yet but the other bartender was serving drinks to others Entertainment team what a joke for 2 days we didn't know who they were then on the 3rd day I got a clipboard pushed in my face and said darts table tennis, no good morning or how are nothing. When they were doing anything they had no get up and go, they would just walk around with phone in 1 had drink in the other and handbag over their shoulder Guests all they wanted to do was get drunk and let the kids run wild, drinks and food chucked everywhere. Location 1 bar 1 coffee shop plus 2 supermarkets, to get to the beach it was about a 20 minutes away if your walking is ok and down hill so it meant taking a taxi back this was not fault of the hotel but Jet2 should have said more on the page.

I'm sorry but anyone who reviews this hotel 5 out of 5 is either lying or has been smoking something. The experience is absolutely horrendous. We have been visiting Altinkum off and on for 25 years. This is THE worst experience of the lot. Think of all the Spoof videos on Tiktok with Jet2 song playing over it.....this is it. Think "Benefits Britain" - this is the poster hotel for it. Some nice guests but 80% of the clientelle are only here for the free food and alcohol. Feral kids everywhere, but parents are all drunk so what would you expect. From 11:00 am they're on the alcohol. Bar provides 6 drink beer carriers. This is advertised as a family hotel. On absolutely no planet is that the case, its more like a throw back to the 18-30s days. All Inclusive meal choice is pathetic. 8 Dixie's of hot food for main evening meal - 3 of those are soup, chips or rice. On the plus side, great choice of cakes, puddings. Cleaners are out of this world, first time I have ever seen cleaning ladies climb over the level 1 verandas to sweep and clean the roof of ground level outbuildings. Evening entertainment last 30 minutes by which time guests are drunk, ripping clothes off each other and throwing drinks about. This is absolutely no place to take your kids. There are signs everywhere saying guests are not permitted to book sunbeds by leaving towels on them. Absolute rubbish every morning there are literally dozens and dozens of sunbeds with towels thrown on them but no guests to be seen for hours. In fact, dozens of towels are thrown on the floor around the pool before sunbeds are even set up and the pool guys lay the towels on the sunbeds when they set up. The signs are.just lip service but they do nothing about it. In summary, the Hotel is nice enough food choice is rubbish and clientele.....wow...don't take your kids......there are far better in Altinkum

We arrived early hours 2am we got our room keys the reception did not give us our all inclusive bracelets and they were very arrogant not helpful.our room was filthy filthy towels air con broke patio door would not lock hotel needs a full refurb.we got to bed at 5.30am in the morning,we made them clean our room engineer had to come out to fix air con and door we did not even unpack.we saw the rep and manager the next morning and got moved the next day my rep and manager. Entertainment repetitive food ok.number of fights broke out a family swearing at their kids too i would not stay here again all i wanted was a clean room, not much to ask and it was not the room we booked. There was one bar across the road and a supermarket had to taxi to town for entertainment. We literally made our own entertainment while at hotel, would not recommend this hotel.

Every member of staff in the hotel were absolutely amazing. Especially the entertainment team. We could not fault one single thing. We will most definitely be coming back to hotel esra.

Just returned from an amazing 2 wk stay the hotel is spotless, the entertainment team are amazing especially Nazli she is a credit to the hotel. Shows are really good, pool party, foam party,… if u go to Migros across the road by a migros card as your shopping is a lot cheaper. Top class is the best clothes shop in the town, u may pay a little more but it’s worth it for the better quality.. pinoccos restaurant is amazing aswell they will pick u up from hotel and bring u back again. Book trips next to sky bar miles cheaper. Fab holiday will return. Tip the cleaners they work so hard….

Room 602 - advertised as pool view, what we got was pool view / entertainment view and a sea view - absolutely perfect! If you are blessed to be in this room, wake up and appreciate the sunrise on a morning. Room itself was basic, but clean and the most comfiest bed we have ever slept in on holiday. The pull out chair bed wasn’t as comfy but there would not have been room for another single in there. Wardrobe space limited but we live out of a case anyway! If you like a cuppa in the morning, pack a travel kettle as there isn’t one in the rooms! Pool area - would advise pool shoes for children, it gets very slippery. My son had a fall (he was walking, just slipped) very nasty bump to back of the head, we saw a few falls during our stay. They are constantly sweeping the water away but with people in and out of pools it is impossible to keep completely dry. Sun loungers - sunbed wars - none!! But first time ever seeing this, if you put your towels around the pool at the spot you want when the sunbeds are out out the pool staff put towels on beds for you! We never had an issue getting a bed, pool staff will always get new ones out and find you somewhere. If you need to be next to the pool (can only talk for the slide pool as this is where we sat) I went down at 7:30 and got our beds out but again there was still Lots of room. Entertainment - this is very loud! The few shows we watched were good but because of the noise we enjoyed these from the balcony. Food - always something to eat. Met by the executive chef on arrival at restaurant. Food was of a good standard. Fresh omelettes / fried eggs made at snack bar in the morning. Sunday roast was a nice touch too. Local area - Migros across the road - brilliant for snacks! We walked into the town centre. If you choose to once you get to bottom of the hill you will see a stall selling jewellery, turn right here for dolphin square, it will take you to shops / restaurants and the sea front. We walked straight up the hill to the shops first night and the owners were so rude and pushy! Completely different vibe down dolphin square shops.
