La Salvia Hotel

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel, especially with the owner. We booked a 5-night stay just a few hours before arriving, but unfortunately, the room was nothing like the description. The room was small, extremely run down, with a horrible smell coming from the bathroom, and the entire hotel was old and poorly maintained. Initially, I didn’t want to be rude, so I just said that we wanted to leave because we didn’t like the area. However, when they refused our request to leave early (which can be understandable), I felt I had no choice but to be honest and tell them the real reason— the room's poor condition.

Although they initially refused my request (at that point we were prepared to simply stay there), the owner later texted me saying that I had one hour to leave, claiming they could sell the room to someone else. He also assured me that he would cancel my reservation once I left, but instead, he attempted to charge me for the full stay, twice. Thankfully my card needs authorization so he did not succeed. Considering I only booked the room the evening before, it’s unlikely they lost any potential clients due to our early departure, which he agreed on anyway. After leaving, we found another hotel nearby that was far more comfortable and met our expectations.

The communication with the owner was very unprofessional and stressful. Despite his earlier promise to cancel the booking, he later refused, and when I tried to address the issue, his responses became very hostile. He even threatened legal action over what was simply an expression of dissatisfaction and I had to seek support from the website I used to book, to stop him from threatening us any further. This was unnecessary and frankly quite stressful.
Overall, the combination of poor communication, dishonesty, and unprofessionalism made this a very negative experience. Aside from the boys working there, which are nice and have nothing to do with this review, the hotel itself is in bad condition and does not match its listing and the owner is unbelievably rude and dishonest. I would strongly advise against staying here.

I booked in May for a holiday in August. Due to red list situation, I had to cancel in July. Their policy allows full cancellation up to 10 days before check in but even if I chased 5+ times, they didn’t give my money back which is around £600. They are not trustworthy and reliable. First I thought that they had genuine reasons but now I agree with my fiend that they are really thieves which means “a person who steals another person's property” in the dictionary, which is exactly what they are doing: keeping/stealing my money/property without my permission. Especially their manager Ilker is a big time liar as he promised me on the phone that he will arrange the refund on Monday, then stopped answering my calls. The issue is not money, the issue is these type of behaviour in the tourism industry is damaging Turkey’s reputation. Btw, they did exactly the same thing to my dad. How low is stealing a 70 year old retired man’s money. Long story short, definitely DO NOT CONSIDER LA SALVIA IN KAŞ. We reported them to CİMER and Consumer Rights Court in Turkey. Note: I am also very happy that I ended up not going there as the photos of their green colour pool in Trip Advisor look absolutely DISGUSTING. 🤢
