La Salvia Hotel

The hotel's location is quite nice, and the beach is excellent. The breakfast was delicious, and the complimentary coffee was a nice touch. I'd especially like to thank Berat Bey, one of the staff members; he truly put the hotel on its back. He was attentive and solution-oriented in every aspect. Yasin Bey was also helpful. The efforts of these two staff members are certainly commendable. However, the overall comfort and facility structure fell short of our expectations. The bathroom was very narrow, and we had difficulty moving in the shower. The toilet seat was much higher than standard. A foul bathroom odor and spiders permeated the room, leaving a negative impression of cleanliness. Despite offering a breakfast-inclusive room concept, the fact that outside food and beverages were not allowed, and this was strictly enforced even at 11:00 PM when no one was by the pool, was disturbing for guests. We believe a more flexible approach could be taken in these matters. Finally, there was a discrepancy between the hotel photos online and the room we actually encountered. This can negatively impact a guest's initial impression. Overall, I believe this hotel stands out in some ways, but needs significant improvements.

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel, especially with the owner. We booked a 5-night stay just a few hours before arriving, but unfortunately, the room was nothing like the description. The room was small, extremely run down, with a horrible smell coming from the bathroom, and the entire hotel was old and poorly maintained. Initially, I didn’t want to be rude, so I just said that we wanted to leave because we didn’t like the area. However, when they refused our request to leave early (which can be understandable), I felt I had no choice but to be honest and tell them the real reason— the room's poor condition.

Although they initially refused my request (at that point we were prepared to simply stay there), the owner later texted me saying that I had one hour to leave, claiming they could sell the room to someone else. He also assured me that he would cancel my reservation once I left, but instead, he attempted to charge me for the full stay, twice. Thankfully my card needs authorization so he did not succeed. Considering I only booked the room the evening before, it’s unlikely they lost any potential clients due to our early departure, which he agreed on anyway. After leaving, we found another hotel nearby that was far more comfortable and met our expectations.

The communication with the owner was very unprofessional and stressful. Despite his earlier promise to cancel the booking, he later refused, and when I tried to address the issue, his responses became very hostile. He even threatened legal action over what was simply an expression of dissatisfaction and I had to seek support from the website I used to book, to stop him from threatening us any further. This was unnecessary and frankly quite stressful.
Overall, the combination of poor communication, dishonesty, and unprofessionalism made this a very negative experience. Aside from the boys working there, which are nice and have nothing to do with this review, the hotel itself is in bad condition and does not match its listing and the owner is unbelievably rude and dishonest. I would strongly advise against staying here.
