Payam Hotel

For the money so close to central Kas, it's okay. Breakfast is good, lots of options. View from the breakfast bar is incredible. Rooms are basic but pleasant if not a bit small for the price. We paid for the sea view room and from the photos this seemed to have an expansive view however when we got there there was a palm tree blocking about 1/5 of the view, right in the centre. This probably won't bother other guests. I am quite a fussy guest I will admit but it seemed like false advertising as the pictures for the room clearly showed an unblocked view. It would have been pleasant with the palm tree had I not expected it to be otherwise. I booked this hotel only for the view and would have stayed elsewhere if I had seen this room beforehand. I asked about moving room and while they tried to treat me well it was clear they did not understand my issue/ found my request quite ridiculous. They did show me the room next door, it was an improvement but not too significant and by this point I felt awkward to move as it was clear I was inconveniencing the staff. The third room along and the corner premium room were most desirable but unavailable. I would warn that the corner premium rooms, unless you are on the top floor, have the jacuzzi baths visible from the car park. The rest of the interactions with the main receptionist after this point felt somewhat tense, it was clear they were displeased with me as a guest, though they were very pleasant to my partner and attempted to hide their dislike for me. Towels were available from reception for the beach clubs which was a nice touch. Only drinks provided in the mini bar on the first day.
