IC Hotels Green Palace - Kids Concept

Distinctly mediocre in pretty much all aspects especially during the winter season.

I was swayed to stay here due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews along with the fact of heated pools, excellent entertainment, quality of food, facilities for kids, shisha available onsite. However, we found that this hotel fell short in most of these areas.

The location is at the end of the hotel strip of Lara so there is no shops, cafes, restaurants available outside or within reasonable walking distance. However, there is a bus stop outside the hotel that will take you directly to the old town or major shopping malls (Terracity).

The rooms are showing signs of being dated especially the bathroom but are perfectly reasonable. The tvs have access to youtube, netflix, prime video etc beyond the usual cable channels. The rooms have sockets that accept both UK and EU plug sockets and a nice touch of having a usb and usb c sockets at one side of the bed. The mini bar and cleaning crew keep the room well maintained and topped up. Here, they showed themselves to be better than other 5* hotels we have stayed at in the Antalya area.

An annoying thing is that they will not provide you an iron in your room stating it is for health and safety reasons and instead you have to use their paid laundry service. Ironically, they provide you with a kettle in the room which they see as no hazard.

The food although plentiful was significantly less varied and had fewer choices than other 5* all inclusive resorts we have stayed in within the Antalya area. That being said, the food in general was slightly better than other places we stayed at but lacked the variety. The overall quality was nothing special peaking at 3.5/5. The variety and choice of bread was simply disappointing and sub par compared to similar places.

While the hotel advertises itself as an ultra all inclusive, I would not consider this to be true as food was only available at set times and there were periods in which you had no access to any food. Late options are very limited compared to other places we stayed at.

Shisha is advertised as being available onsite but was not available which was frustrating as it was one of the reason we chose this place. In addition, the games room was closed and was far away from the main building making its use impractical even if it had been open.

Some outdoor pools are advertised as being heated in the winter season but the pools still remain cold rather than freezing and not something you will eagerly want to use. If the sun is out, it does warm the outdoor pools a little and are usable although not the most comfortable. The indoor pool was more comfortable with a temperature that was ok temperature which you quickly acclimatised to after feeling initially a bit cold. The indoor pool is large so with the amount of people using it during the winter month didn’t feel crowded.

The sauna, steam room and hammam are large and maintained decently. They are free to use and of the standard you’d expect of a 5* resort.

The entertainment during winter months a hit and miss. Some days, it was a quiz or karaoke rather than shows. The dance shows were nice to watch although conducted in the nightclub rather than in the indoor hall. This seemed like a disservice to the act as they deserved a bigger and more spacious setting which they would have been afforded at other all inclusive resorts.

Overall, this hotel was a bit of a let down. Not bad per se but I would look at other hotels instead for any future Antalya stays as other hotels and resorts we have stayed at in the area have been better in all or almost all areas.
