Reviews
Being a 4 star hotel it’s expected by clients to have porters or help with luggage’s … none was provided … when asked the lady receptionist said she is on her own but then another guys comes and starts helping her with paper work from the room side room and we still didn’t get any help with luggage
A/Cs r set on a very low settings so much so that there is hardly any air coming through the A/Cs … guy at reception then said he will sort it out … but in evening same lady sent a technician with us to room and he said that’s max it will. A/C on or no it made no difference to room temperature …
Breakfast is very limited … juices r empty and staff don’t bother refilling them. When asked for water waitress gave us water and then brought a bill for it even though breakfast was included in price … we asked for omelette and again got a surprise when waitress came with another bill … told her we have paid for breakfast included but got told eggs are extra …
It’s like in restaurant in you don’t know what you will need to pay for … if they tell in advance it’s fair enough but u get surprise bills … it’s not much but still need to be told …
All in all very Poor service for a 4* hotel… behind new look and cleanliness very poor service and standards …
Hotel Kubalic is just five minutes by car from Ordu airport. You can reach it by taxi or by shuttle hotel. The large room was comfy, very clean, and enriched by any comfort as you can find them in that category which belongs to the Kubalic. Its position is splendid, perfect for my needs.
Close to the hotel, there is a bank that turned out to be very useful for my money change. Likewise, close to the hotel, there are rent-a-car services.
The bus stop is on the other side of the street. At the hotel, besides Turkish, they speak English as well, and that is not so usual and cannot be taken for granted especially in the small cities of Turkey.
In the Kubalic’s staff, I found the greatest kindness, a familiar approach that made me desire to stay longer.
In a nutshell, Kubalic Hotel has been over my expectations. Absolutely perfect. Even the people I met in Ordu have shown me a peculiar tendency to be very direct and at the same time very warm and kind.
Post Scriptum: After a few hours that I wrote these words (on Sunday evening) the first news came to me about the quake in Turkey. I’ve been unable to post these comments without first checking out the conditions of the staff of the hotel. Luckily, Ordu is not in the range of the cities that were hit hard, and the Kubalic staff is doing fine, thanks to God.
🚬 I was surprised to find upon my arrival that I was allocated a stale nicotine smelling smoking room. (Maybe my expectations are unrealistic, but in 2022 the minimum would be to check in advance if the guest is OK with that, better yet: by default ban smoking in the rooms) When asking if I could get a non smoking room, the immediate answer was (however kindly delivered) “No, sorry, there’s nothing we can do, we’re fully booked.” It’s only upon some insistence that I was proposed to be put in a smaller room than the category my travel agent had in paid for advance(!), no compensation proposed.
🙉I didn’t even mind the room size (although fitting through the bathroom door would surely be a challenge for a bigger person) but the virtually non existent sound proofing of the room made the noise disturbance from inside and outside the hotel unbearable. This is unacceptable for a room facing a busy major road.
🛠I lost count of the bits and pieces broken or missing in the room: from wardrobe door knobs to sink plugs.
🧽one positive note is the undeniable cleanliness of the room but that is very far from enough to make a guest have a good stay.
Rooms are clean and very comfortable.
Very good for transit good position aside the main road.
They are professional and friendly
It's so clean and the breakfast is great I recommend it 1000% they are a 5 star hotel not a 4 star hotel
Excellent Cleanness;
Thank You!
