I have to say the service people here are quite nice, this is the main point I always come to this hotel when I come to Urfa
Room was just OK, bathroom slippers were of extremely low quality; the bathroom was renovated in some places, but some parts were very old, like the toilet. Air conditioning was another issue: the AC was off and had to be fixed manually, but still it stopped working suddenly. There were no bell boys here either because on our arrival and departure, we had to take our luggage ourselves.
Communication was another issue for foreigners because local people don't speak English or any other language. Finding/ordering food was a major hassle here. which is the only plus point.
Overall, customer service was generally quite poor in this hotel and nearby areas. We were there only for a short trip only and that too specifically to visit the religious spots and would not visit or recommend it to anyone.
Positive side for foreigners: there is a mall within a walking distance.
The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet enough, only hearing mild traffic in the background. Shower was great, size was nice, and hotel is lovely. Internet a bit slow but usable. This could be upgraded. I didn't try the hotel restaurant but the huge mall next door also had plenty of options for anything.
My only reason for not giving total 5 stars is that the temperature control in the room doesn't work well, making me have to open windows a lot even in the winter when it's cold outside because the room was too hot for me to sleep comfortably without it. This is a common problem throughout Turkey, I have found, and not unique to this hotel. Turkish people seem to like it very very warm inside, I don't. This should be upgraded and temperature control should always work well for this class of hotel.
Also, the spa area is lovely, but they let a lot of local groups of young men use it just for a quick massage and their behavior in the locker rooms and sauna and pool area is very immature and not appropriate. Staff witnessed this but didn't stop it, and they should.
Otherwise, I would give it a 5 star!!!
Stay at this hotel for one of the best options in Sianlurfa! And bring your google translate app ready on your phone because most of the staff do not speak conversational English (again, quite common in Turkey).
