I don't know why this hotel is written as JAL Building in Chinese. Anyone could think it is a Japan Airlines hotel. However, after checking in, I found that there seemed to be no connection. When I asked the staff, they also said they didn't know what the connection was with Japan Airlines. Isn't this translation too horrible? Will it involve copyright issues?

In the old town, very close to the pier, 10 minutes walk. The surrounding environment is noisy and chaotic, but this is also the daily state in Dar es Salaam. The hotel room is small and cramped, but overall it is clean and has hot water. It is particularly worth mentioning that the boss is very nice. They are very welcoming to Chinese tourists. After we checked out, they offered to rent a room for us free of charge to store our luggage and wash our clothes (we felt it was inappropriate and declined). During our stay, the front desk staff used the taxi app on their phone to call a taxi for us (we paid the driver), which was 1/2 to 2/3 cheaper than hailing a taxi on the street.

The service is good, the breakfast ok. The hotel is well maintained although it is a bit old but the nearby buildings are very close

I didn't expect that for more than 500 yuan a night, we would get such a bad room. There were only two of us staying in the entire hotel. The facilities are extremely basic, with torn curtains and stained sheets. One night, motorcycles were whining outside. The surrounding environment was extremely poor. They were all like slums. There were no decent and clean restaurants to eat, so I had to go hungry at night. The waiter didn't care, and no one paid any attention. The air conditioner made a creaking sound, and he spent his time in the noise. I didn't dare to take a shower. Fortunately, an old man was making breakfast, which included bread and milk. It was clean and had a family feel.

Hotel Nikko Tower is in the heart of Dar Es Salaam and downtown, easy to walk to places to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Good price and great service. The management and staff is always willing to go above and beyond. Two block from beautiful mosques and a lot of street vendors. This is my second here and I love it. Dar has been home for me and this hotel reminds me of that. I would recommend people to come to this location and give us a try.

Big clean room, value for money. Friendly & helpful staff. However very near to a mosque so got frequent prayers. Central location in city but immediate area might not feel safe for single traveler

The staff and rooms are worth the money, however the location is very crowded and difficult for parking . They have also closed down the restaurant. Which was the main reason for me to pick this hotel.

This hotel's rooms are really quiet, and has professional service for both the rooms together with the bar. Also, rooms are very large in size enough to fit a bathroom there together with Television, Cupboard, Bed and Dressing table [Which it does have], and the hotel also provides the best breakfast, lunch and dinner at best quality which I liked about it, and it also can bring back very thoughtful memories of being there and also has a very helpful team all along with reception and their services together with house-keeping and everyone else. Nonetheless, I do recommend this hotel if you are going to pay a visit there.
