We spent two nights in the African Villa at the Golden Zanzibar. The amazing beach was only surpassed by the fantastic service. Our butler, Khadija, fulfilled all of our needs with kindness. The breakfast and dinner buffets were the largest that I have ever experienced. If we ever have a chance to get back to this part of the world, we will be staying at Gold Zanzibar again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was great, the food was delicious and we had good conversation and a lot of fun with the animation team Isaah and Shaaban, who played ping pong and volleyball with us and taught us the game bao. Thanks do all who created a great experience for us! :)

We stayed in both Jumbo and Palace. We checked into the hotel at night, they gave us a room near the reception (the reception is more modest compared to Jumbo). Our room was 300 and was terribly far from the restaurant and activities, it was hard to walk up the hill. But you could ask to take you by buggy. It is a bit pricey but the service and food very good. It is an all inclusive resort and everything is free. They have a bar and service for 24 hours. They have multiple restaurants and one of their restaurant open three times a day and there is another restaurant that opens till late. You can use RIU Jambo resort facilities. Excellent hotel and service. Food was very good as well, with the caveat that the buffet was not always available (some nights were a la carte only). Limited entertainment, but it was enjoyable when there was some. I would choose this hotel again regardless of those two things, overall it was a wonderful experience

The staff was overly friendly, very accommodating and kind. I really enjoyed the staff there. The amenities were great. The performances were awesome. Jambo was also a nice get away. I love the access to both resorts.

What a great experience! Everyone at this hotel was super nice and attentive. The food options were good as well. If you like to party, this is not the resort for you. There are not a lot of options for that at all. There is a sister property though that does have a nightlife. Overall I had a good time.

Beautifully located by the beach. The main restaurant had a good selection of food and a good variation from day to day. The 2 restaurants on the seaside was excellent! Remember to reserve in advance. They only open up for reservertion 3 days ahead and you need to be quick. Great hotel for a good price. We stayed at the both hotels. Both were nice however the sister hotel was closer to the beach. The stay are friendly. The hotels are nice and well priced.

Stayed here in 2019. Only good words to say about the hotel. The staff was nice and helpfull, food is great, very customer orientated. And the beach, is on the best part of the island. So nice! Loved it ❤️

Nice and comfortable place, close to the beach (10 minutes walk) and with shuttle bus service. Good and generous food buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fruit and snacks during the morning and afternoon. Very kind staff, clean rooms and pool on-site the hotel. Weak wifi spead and coverage and maybe also a little to crowdy, in a way less is more, but we did pass a very nice time.

Friendly staff made our stay OK. The location is set away from the beach, a 10 min walk or a short bumpy ride with the free shuttle that is provided between the resort and the beach until 22.30. We tried a buffet dinner which offered a good variety of food and priced at 10 $ is a good offer. We also had lunch on the beach where the resort also operates a restaurant. Had some pasta which was alright...

Every detail has been intentional and well thought of. The efforts to conserve the nature and their active participation in the community stand out. The gardens are surreal and the rooms/bungalows are beyond expectations. The beach is not entirely private, but the crystal blue waters and the amenities on the beach make up for it. Sadly not much marine life close to the shore as we enjoy snorkeling...

Beautiful property, great sand beaches and wonderful water. Far from the airport, plan accordingly if you would like to see Stone Town. Massage was great. Each night the restaurant had a different cuisine and large variety. Each evening there was music and bon fire on the beach. Lots of water activities, some at an additional cost. Bungalows are very nice and private. Would recommend for honeymooners

Amazing stay here for our honeymoon in June. Rooms amazing and the beach was incredible. Staff all super friendly and the food across the hotel was exceptional. Plenty of choice and exceeded expectations. Would absolutely recommend.

Sunset Kendwa was fantastic. The pasta, pizza, and chicken Caesar salad were all delicious, and the smoothie was super refreshing. They offer a day-use option at a great price, which you can use in the restaurant—totally worth it. The beach was gorgeous, and the place has a nice view and a relaxing vibe. Definitely recommended! 👌🏼

The beach is stunning, I had such a lovely afternoon with my family. It was amazing. We played beach football, beach horse riding and ride on jet ski. Margarita pizza was delicious, really enjoyed our lunch. Stuff were helpful.I would highly recommend the place.

Sunset Kendwa Beach Hotel was a great choice. The location and beaches were fantastic, providing a beautiful and relaxing setting. We had a wonderful 7 nights vacation at this location, in which we were treated better then we have experience anything in Europe. Very lovely staff and management, always smiling and helpful, making your vacation experience amazing is important for them. We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights - March 2023. The rooms are beautiful, the cleanliness is perfect, the hotel manager is very professional and helpful, the breakfast is not much, the same is the food in the restaurant, the pool is a little neglected as well as the private hot tub by the room. As part of the accommodation, you can use the private beach and pool at the hotel next door, which is perfect

the Apartment is okay I removed 1star becouse of the breakfast too small (stayed with kids)they serve 1egg for the kid which is not enough..and I suppose to go outside find something else for them ...so they breakfast kinda poor

Nice cosy room, hot water, bath robe and Beach towels provided. Allowed for late checkout and accommodating for luggage holds. White sandy beaches with security on site. Beach fire in the evening makes for a nice wind down.

A good hotel, with a large green area on the shore of the best beach Kendwa, breakfasts are varied and in general the hotel cooks deliciously. The room was spacious with a balcony, quiet at night. I recommend!

Probably, this was a good hotel once, but now it is in dire need of renovation. The economy room has almost no windows, it is not comfortable to be in it at all. I liked everything, but there is no light in the buildings in the evening, you can hit yourself, the beach is great, lots of umbrellas and sun loungers, but there are a lot of local sellers on the beach that don't give you a break, it's really annoying, the sea is super. For your money, it's great

The hotel is lovely, we stayed in the basic room and enjoyed it as well. The breakfast area was peaceful offering good variety of food. The beach was also beautiful and there are no big tides in there unlike other beaches so we could easily get into the water any time of the day!

We have been resting for 10 days already, the hotel staff is super, always clean, they clean every day, sunbeds for the hotel are free and guarded on the beach, everything is very cool. in connection with the situation in Ukraine, the guys are understanding, very cool.

The bungalows felt so quiet and secluded even a couple minutes from the main pool/bar restaurant. Staff were the best we’d ever experienced, so attentive and cheery. They made you feel like royalty and everything was so clean. Grounds were so well kept along with the private beach which was picture perfect. I could write a book about how good everything was but I couldn’t recommend Kilindi enough

Villas were lovely. Odd that the bathroom was its own building down some stairs so might be a problem if you need to go during the night but was OK for us. Nice having breakfast overlooking the sea every morning and dinner felt relatively private given there aren't too many other guests. Private beach is nice. The tides on this particular part are quite extreme so there might be a chunk of the day...

Stunning place I spent 4 nights on our 30th wedding anniversary. I planned a vow renewal on the beach and my wife knew nothing about it until I led her down to the beach. Magical !!!

We had a wonderful stay at Kilindi for our honeymoon. The rooms are superb and the housekeeping was efficient and did lots of lovely little touches throughout our stay. The food is fantastic and our butler, Selah was so friendly. We would definitely recommend.

Pure boutique luxury, in a spectacularly unique architectural setting. Each private villa is like a little palace. The staff truly makes you feel like they care about learning and anticipating what would make your stay the best it can be. When we went on a snorkeling excursion, they called a car and packed it with a cooler full of what they knew (by that point) were our favorite drinks and snacks...

Review of the restaurant. It was excellent. We had a pasta and a pizza to share, and while we were both hungry it was a lot of food. We had an excellent 1 week stay at this resort, it's a large resort located in Kendwa beach close to Nungwi with practically no low tides at all during the day. The place is very nice and the staff is lovely. They will do everything they can to help you. It is not as comfortable as a four star hôtel but it is really worth the price. Much more authentic that many resorts and big hostels on Kendwa Beach.
