Holiday Inn Bar Harbor Regency Hotel, an IHG Hotel
Bar Harbor, 123 Eden Street 🧭 Map
Great location, close to the ferry, which was great when you don't bring your car. The only thing I thought could be improved was the front desk /reception area -it wasn't very nice. Very small, dark and very outdated not welcoming all.
My wife, two year old and myself recently spent 5 days in Bar Harbor and stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort. Overall, I'm very happy with the experience. First, the good... the location is great. It's a 3 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor or an 8 minute bike ride down the paved bike path that runs in front of the hotel. The property is beautiful and the views of the ocean are wonderful. The pool...
A bit pricey. Only two restaurants on property and only one serve breakfast which was very basic. Nice ocean view if you can get a room facing it. Staff is very accommodating. Rooms are decent size, if you stay at the main building. There are other buildings that comprise the resort so any building from the main one will require a little walking to breakfast. The pool looked nice and heated, didn...
This was a pretty expensive hotel for me, but to me it was worth every penny. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Our hotel windows did not face the bay, but that didn't matter because there are plenty of opportunities to sit around the really spacious grounds and enjoy the view, including the restaurants, pool, and a nice grass walking path and lawn area. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean...
I haven't left yet however what a great experience. All of the staff are very professional . Grounds are clean and inviting. Could be updated a bit, but all over I would definitely stay here again. Pool is very well organized with acomindating needs. I will recommend this hotel to any one needing to get out and see Maine. Yes it is a resort however the easy access to all the nature is all around. Very...
It's a great resort right on the harbor, the views are spectacular. I really enjoyed eating in their restaurant with the beautiful view of the harbor. It's also very close to Acadia National Park entrance, so it was very convenient for getting up early to see sunrise at Cadillac Mountain. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was very polite and friendly. The buffet breakfast was very delicious...

We had a wonderful experience room was cozy and comfortable. We were away for my husband’s birthday and they even left a gift for him in our room.Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay again!!
This is beautiful waterfront property just a short distance from Downtown Bar Harbor. All of the rooms in the main building face the water with nice views of Frenchman Bay. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed and each one has a balcony with a few chairs. They also have conference facilities (which is what we were there for), which worked very well. The staff to a person was friendly, helpful...
This place is just wow. It is an ideal place to stay in Acadia. Well-appointed rooms with beautiful interiors. The first-floor suit with a patio overlooking the blue waters of the Atlantic was a sight to behold. The sunset was mesmerizing to see from the room patio. The breakfast was awesome with a lot of options. The chef made customized vegan patties for us and it was awesome. Ideal place for a pleasant...
We stayed for only one night during the off season (late Nov). Our room was not cleaned, so we had to wait for them to find us another room. The concierge personally went and checked the new room to be sure it was good to go. The breakfast was topnotch. The staff made sure I knew what food was gluten free and offered additional gf options that were not out at the buffet. They were polite, friendly...
My wife and I had a belated wedding celebration here as well as staying here ourselves with a block of rooms for our friends/family and had an incredible time! For the lodging aspect: We rented the entirety of The Willows as well as ~20 rooms from one of the other hotel buildings. Our rooms was clean and cozy and we didn't hear anything dissimilar from anyone else who was staying on site. The location...
Location is great just outside busy Bar Harbor. Staff was very friendly and gave great information about Acadia National Park and shuttle provided to go there. Views of ocean are beautiful here. Breakfast was beyond my expectations and good variety and quality. We hope to return again.

Breakfast was good and had a beautiful view from the Looking Glass Restaurant. The facilities are nice: loved the pool, spa, tea/coffee areas, bar and boutique. We enjoyed our 3-night stay.
The staff was super accommodating giving us additional coffee packets that I requested and allowing us access back into our room after we had left. My travel companion who has a disability needed to access the bathroom. The staff was super gracious. The Looking Glass restaurant which is part of the inn was wonderful with good food, beautiful views and a wonderful staff as well.
Great location! Clean and cozy room. Stayed there for 3 nights and appreciated how close it was to everything. Has full indoor pool, steam room and jacuzzi which you should enjoy if you have the chance during your stay.
Stayed here during our 4 day visit to Acadia National Park. Close proximity to park, which was convenient. Breakfast not included and restaurant there, The Looking Glass, had outdoor seating with a wonderful view but quite pricey for a basic breakfast. ($47 for 2 basic egg/meat/toast meals) Room was clean and nice but bathroom needs an updated sink, tub/shower. Our room had an outside porch area...
Good hotel, good amenities. Amazing coffee at the entrance, not sure why I emphasized but feels good for the morning wake up. View is nice from the hotel top, sometimes you get an upgrade and have fun. Yay! Very much near downtown and harbor. The directory of place and their phone numbers are placed in the room, very helpful in case of emergency. Clean, value for money, no restaurant, only breakfast...
I want to start off by saying, I’m extremely picky and a total neat freak with hotels. The room was large, comfy, super clean and updated. I didn’t notice a thing out of place or any “weird hotel smells”. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s a great value and very comfortable. We had a great view of the water and the staff was super kind and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel while passing through on our way to see the eclipse. This hotel was more than I could have asked for. The front desk was very nice, pleasant and made you feel at home. We were able to snag a room at a discounted price due to it being the off season but I would be happy to come back and stay and pay full price. Our room (single king) was decent size the bathroom was huge enough...
Exceptional service, Neil was particularly wonderful. Room was spotless, right on Main Street within walking distance from everything. Wonderful breakfast each morning. Every staff member was helpful and welcoming. They even had a list printed out of places to see on rainy days. Wonderful little details of service throughout the hotel that made my stay exceptional!
My stay at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Arriving on their first night open for the season, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and outstanding service from the staff. They were not only helpful and friendly but also highly informative, providing valuable insights and recommendations about the area. The common areas of the hotel exuded elegance and sophistication...
Beautiful hotel. Multistory with elevators. Recently renovated. Great staff. Breakfast included. Rooms are very clean and quiet. The rooms are beautifully organized and decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Walking distance from many shops and restaurants in downtown Bar Harbor. This hotel is only a few miles driving distance from Acadia National Park. You can actually hike to several Acadia trails...
Had our 2nd stay at the Grand Hotel over the Labor Day holiday. The staff and guests were fantastic for the most part. The only issue was the reservation. Apparently I made the reservation before our fight schedule was finalized. So when I called the hotel to confirm a week in advance, we didn't have a room after all. But the good news is they had an even bigger room for the same price. The room was...
Awesome, affordable, and friendly hotel. Front desk was very accommodating to our questions about Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park in general. They also provided us with the best times to go visit bar Island, the tide charts, and Cadillac Mountain timings. The rooms were very clean, the continental breakfast was decent, and there was 24-hour hot chocolate and coffee available for those long cold...

this was my favorite place to stay during our New England road trip. the front desk crew are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the chocolate chip chunk cookies helped, too. they had a great breakfast spread with lots of options. their rooms were clean, quiet, organized, and well-appointed. I will definitely stay here again!
The perfect place to stay to visit Acadia National Park! If you have never stayed in a motel, don't worry Bar Harbor Motel has everything you need. The check in was simple and the front desk staff was so friendly. I loved that you could park right in front of your room, so no dragging your bags into lobbies, elevators, etc. The room was very clean and there was a coffee pot! The breakfast exceeded...
Bar Harbor Motel's staff was incredibly friendly. Carol and Gina deserve a raise for how accommodating they were to my family. They provided information on transit, places to eat, and Acadia National Park. The breakfast should be considered the standard in Hotels/Motels. The breakfast staff was quick to replenish any out of stock items and there was plenty to choose from. Coffee, Tea, Milk, Cereal...
Stayed here at the Bar Harbor Motel September 26th to the 28th. I had never stayed at a motel before this trip and I was pleasantly surprised, and pleased with my stay here. The room was so comfortable and had lots of character. The location was good as well. Close to downtown, and Acadia. I also really enjoyed the breakfast as well. The muffins were delicious. Would definitely recommend staying here...
Great location. Great room. Great staff. Excellent complimentary breakfast. Beautiful, well maintained grounds. Easy parking right in front of your unit. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you use the park shuttle, one of the stops for the Eden street line is right outside the lobby of the motel.
The Bar Harbor Motel is wonderful! My husband and I stayed here while on a weekend trip with friends and the rooms were great! We were in one of the rooms that had two bedrooms that were connected by the bathroom/storage area, so there was a lot of space! We made ourselves right at home! :) The bed was SO comfortable, both the mattress softness and the sheets were wonderful. We were extremely impressed...

Bed was comfy but the door to the bathroom wouldn’t close the very old steam shower was out of order and to have breakfast had to drive 8 mile into town
Highly recommend! Everything you need in a very comfortable environment! We stayed in the master room and had plenty of space to walk around, the bathroom was spacious, the bed was super comfy... the in room coffee is good too! The location was great, a short drive to Acadia... we found out the last day that the free park bus picks up at the end of the driveway! Also got to meet Lena for a quick moment...
The Heathwood Inn is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor, Maine. We rented the Eden Room on the ground floor and were surprised how large it was and nicely furnished. Highly recommend it.
We had the pleasure of staying there in October, 2019. It is a very quaint older bed and breakfast in very good shape. We stayed in the large room with the fireplace. It was very comfortable and the private porch was a nice feature. The location is ideal for seeing the various parts of Mount Desert Island including Acadia, Bar Harbor and the surrounding area. The owners were very nice and gave...
Perfect Place to stay on Mr. Desert Island. Everything is a short drive away. Bountiful & delicious breakfast served every morning and the hosts (D&D) were very friendly, accommodating, and awesome. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and I soaked in the big tub at least once a day. We stayed a wonderful relaxing week. Thanks again for everything ♥

Charming bed and breakfast! I loved the historic feel and decor of the Inn. Good location for walking to dining in downtown Bar Harbor.
Nice hotel with a great location in town! Loved the little porch in front of your room to sit outside. Well maintained property, rooms weren't to spacious. The beds were very comfortable. A small refrigerator would have been nice to have in the room. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room. Would definitely stay here again!
This place...wow!! Wanted the cottage feel for Bar Harbor and this place hits the nail right on the head. It was just my husband and I so we chose to stay in the Cadillac roomin the 3rd floor. Small room but was perfect for us as we only used it for resting, comfortable bed, clean bed and bathroom. There are larger rooms for people needing more space. The service was wonderful, felt like staying the...
Wonderful place to stay. Staff was remarkably friendly, room was quaint clean and exactly what was needed. The inn stands right off of the major street of Bar Harbor that heads right to the waterfront. Quite recommended.
