Holiday Inn Bar Harbor Regency Hotel, an IHG Hotel
Bar Harbor, 123 Eden Street 🧭 Map
Great location, close to the ferry, which was great when you don't bring your car. The only thing I thought could be improved was the front desk /reception area -it wasn't very nice. Very small, dark and very outdated not welcoming all.
My wife, two year old and myself recently spent 5 days in Bar Harbor and stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort. Overall, I'm very happy with the experience. First, the good... the location is great. It's a 3 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor or an 8 minute bike ride down the paved bike path that runs in front of the hotel. The property is beautiful and the views of the ocean are wonderful. The pool...
A bit pricey. Only two restaurants on property and only one serve breakfast which was very basic. Nice ocean view if you can get a room facing it. Staff is very accommodating. Rooms are decent size, if you stay at the main building. There are other buildings that comprise the resort so any building from the main one will require a little walking to breakfast. The pool looked nice and heated, didn...
This was a pretty expensive hotel for me, but to me it was worth every penny. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Our hotel windows did not face the bay, but that didn't matter because there are plenty of opportunities to sit around the really spacious grounds and enjoy the view, including the restaurants, pool, and a nice grass walking path and lawn area. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean...
I haven't left yet however what a great experience. All of the staff are very professional . Grounds are clean and inviting. Could be updated a bit, but all over I would definitely stay here again. Pool is very well organized with acomindating needs. I will recommend this hotel to any one needing to get out and see Maine. Yes it is a resort however the easy access to all the nature is all around. Very...
It's a great resort right on the harbor, the views are spectacular. I really enjoyed eating in their restaurant with the beautiful view of the harbor. It's also very close to Acadia National Park entrance, so it was very convenient for getting up early to see sunrise at Cadillac Mountain. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was very polite and friendly. The buffet breakfast was very delicious...

Here's a sample hotel review based on your comments: *3/5 Stars* "I recently stayed at Bluenose inn. had mixed feelings about my experience. On the plus side, the hotel is located in a great area, within 2 miles distance to local attractions. And Acadia The hotel itself is also very nice, with clean and comfortable rooms. However, the hospitality and service by the front desk were a letdown. The...
Our stay was good. The rooms were spacious and clean upon arrival. The cleanliness decreased with our stay. The hotel is a long walk to downtown yet close to Acadia. The front desk seemed to be short staffed as every interaction we had we had to wait as they were on the phone. The Looking Glass restaurant has a beautiful view and that's where the experience ends as the food lacked flavor.
The Blue Nose Inn was in a good location for walking into downtown Bar Harbor and has plenty of parking. Our room was very large with a sitting area and balcony with good views of the harbor. It’s a clean and well-maintained hotel, but the decor is very dated. The vibe is that of a nice assisted living facility! We did not trust the hotel enough to eat there.
We stayed for 8 nights in a 3rd floor balcony room with 2 Queen beds. More like a hotel than an Inn. The water view was spectacular, especially at sunrise! The two queen beds were Very comfortable and the shower water pressure was excellent. Almost instant hot water in shower and sinks! There are two very comfy robes provided, which is lovely. There is also a Keurig coffee maker with lots of coffee...
Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and professional. The entire facility was immaculate including our room. Our room was tastefully decorated with wonder views from our balcony. It is within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor.
Really big room, lovely fireplace which helped given the weather. Front desk staff really helpful, pool very good, parking easy. 10 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes from Arcadia NP - perfect!

Everythjng about this property was homely and comfortable. The best thing was a 24 hr beverage bar with hot coffee, tea and iced water. There were also microwaves for guests. Pool and hot tub clean. All Covid precautions still underway at breakfast buffet which was good to see
Great hotel, fantastic location within minutes of the town of Bar Harbor and Acadia. Pleasant staff, nice pool with hot tub, clean. We stayed 5 days during summer high season, hotel was full but never felt crowded. Standard hot breakfast with some decent items. Great ocean view if you walk around back, some rooms have an ocean view with patios (ours did not). But on the whole the location makes it...
Driving up to the property - we giggled, what a wonderful view and beautifully kept. We were greeted at the front desk by a lovely young lady who shared the necessities with us then made a follow up call after we'd had time to get in our room -- super nice! While I chose the Mountain View -- I could see ocean views as well from our room -- so clean and open. We didn't spend much time at the property...
I would have given five stars but they offered to clean our room when we asked them to replace the towels and they did not do it. This is one of the cleanest hotels I have been in, in a very long time which was not a brand new facility. It was spotless. Granted it ought to be for 600 a night and 300 a night but it was. The hotel indoor pool was the cleanest pool I have ever been in for a hotel...
This hotel was a great choice for a family trip to Bar Harbor / Acadia. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and we had awesome view of the harbor from the top floor. There were plenty of delicious choices for the complimentary breakfast each day. Would definitely stay again!
Overall we really liked the hotel! The staff were always very friendly and breakfast was excellent! I loved that they had a hot tub too! Our room was clean and comfortable and they also had free parking, which was a welcomed surprise from our other recent Hampton inn stays. The hotel is a bit of a hike from downtown, not exactly a quick walk—but it could be if you wanted to get some exercise. It does...

The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa exceeded all of our expectations. THE VIEW! THE MUFFINS! It was a dream stay and the service was above and beyond. The rooms are clean and property is well maintained. Spend a little more for an ocean view and enjoy the sunrise each morning. Then head over to the continental breakfast for the best scones and muffins you’ve ever had. Parking is included and you can walk to...
I cannot put in to words how amazing of a stay my fiancé and I had. Every employee we encountered was kind and professional. We stayed in the Ocean Front Lodge and the views were spectacular. The infinity pool/hot tub were to die from--offering amazing panoramic vies of the bay area. The free breakfast every morning was delicious and bountiful, and made preparing for the day convenient. If you're looking for a Bar Harbor stay, this is the place. The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't walk past anyone working there, morning and evening without a friendly hello or good morning regardless of their job. The ocean facing rooms are amazing and all have nice little decks to sit on and enjoy the sunrise. The heated pool has an infinity edge overlooking the ocean with...
Where do I start? My boyfriend and I couldn’t get over how amazing this experience has been. This hotel is absolutely perfect. The recent renovation is phenomenal - the whole place is spotless and updated and very luxurious. The staff are absolutely incredible. very nice & clean and modern rooms. comfortable beds. the location was very good and only a few miles to the Acadia park entrance and a few miles to Bar Harbor. Breakfast was decent. lobby was small but pretty . liked the free coffee available.
The rooms are really clean and for the most part quiet. The bed was very comfortable and furnishings up to date Enjoyed the location and access to Bar Harbor and Acadia Breakfast was much more than a continental breakfast but they were so busy they had a hard time keeping everything stocked Overall a great choice for the area
Had an incident with our dog not being aware their was a pet policy (if you bring a pet, make sure to tell them at check in, mistake 1 on our part). The staff and manager were incredibly understanding and reasonable when it came to resolve the matter. Loved our stay and wouldn't have stayed anywhere else, just wish our dog hadn't had the accident but given it happened management and staff did everything...
Very friendly and accommodating at the front desk. They have tea and hot chocolate with fresh cookies in the lobby. A really nice touch. Breakfest was really good. Plenty of choices. Rooms are very clean and we lucked out with a spacious room. Very nice grounds and very close to Acadia National Park. Thank you Mary!
A big round applause to their breakfast service! Nice selection of food for a continental breakfast. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and sweet. One of them taught me how to use the waffle machine. Another staff greeted good morning when we entered the cafeteria and brought my daughter crayons and doodle books. The front desk even has a computer and a printer for customers! It saved my life...
This motel has been remodeled and is very nice. Room is very clean. I accidently spilled some water on the bathroom floor. Wiped it up with a towel and the towel was clean. I was shocked. That is never the case at the bigger name brand hotels. The beds are very comfortable. The staff were really nice. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience room was cozy and comfortable. We were away for my husband’s birthday and they even left a gift for him in our room.Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay again!!
This is beautiful waterfront property just a short distance from Downtown Bar Harbor. All of the rooms in the main building face the water with nice views of Frenchman Bay. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed and each one has a balcony with a few chairs. They also have conference facilities (which is what we were there for), which worked very well. The staff to a person was friendly, helpful...
This place is just wow. It is an ideal place to stay in Acadia. Well-appointed rooms with beautiful interiors. The first-floor suit with a patio overlooking the blue waters of the Atlantic was a sight to behold. The sunset was mesmerizing to see from the room patio. The breakfast was awesome with a lot of options. The chef made customized vegan patties for us and it was awesome. Ideal place for a pleasant...
We stayed for only one night during the off season (late Nov). Our room was not cleaned, so we had to wait for them to find us another room. The concierge personally went and checked the new room to be sure it was good to go. The breakfast was topnotch. The staff made sure I knew what food was gluten free and offered additional gf options that were not out at the buffet. They were polite, friendly...
My wife and I had a belated wedding celebration here as well as staying here ourselves with a block of rooms for our friends/family and had an incredible time! Beautiful stay! My girlfriends and I have found our new hotel for our annual Bar Harbor trip. It’s the perfect walking distance to downtown but keeps you just out of the chaos for a sound sleep. The front desk staff was so welcoming! They were very helpful with our questions about Bar Harbor, and gave us good recommendations on activities and restaurants. There was a nice selection of breakfast items, such as fresh blueberry muffins, available in the morning. Great place to stay in Bar Harbor within walking distance of downtown. Our room was very clean and cozy. We popped into the lobby multiple times a day for tea and coffee, as well as to chat with Christopher at the front desk, who is A DELIGHT. Would definitely stay here again.
Loved this place!! I booked my room just a couple of hours before I arrived not knowing what to expect. Everything exceeded my expectations. Check in was friendly and easy. The room was cute and adorable, though could use a little TLC. Location perfect, not right in the middle of the all the action (so quiet) but close enough to walk everywhere. The room was great, we booked it for location and this allowed us to leave our vehicle at the hotel and walk downtown, and was a short drive to Acadia NP. Breakfast was good and had a beautiful view from the Looking Glass Restaurant. The facilities are nice: loved the pool, spa, tea/coffee areas, bar and boutique. We enjoyed our 3-night stay.
The staff was super accommodating giving us additional coffee packets that I requested and allowing us access back into our room after we had left. My travel companion who has a disability needed to access the bathroom. The staff was super gracious. The Looking Glass restaurant which is part of the inn was wonderful with good food, beautiful views and a wonderful staff as well.
Great location! Clean and cozy room. Stayed there for 3 nights and appreciated how close it was to everything. Has full indoor pool, steam room and jacuzzi which you should enjoy if you have the chance during your stay.
Stayed here during our 4 day visit to Acadia National Park. Close proximity to park, which was convenient. Breakfast not included and restaurant there, The Looking Glass, had outdoor seating with a wonderful view but quite pricey for a basic breakfast. ($47 for 2 basic egg/meat/toast meals) Room was clean and nice but bathroom needs an updated sink, tub/shower. Our room had an outside porch area...
Good hotel, good amenities. Amazing coffee at the entrance, not sure why I emphasized but feels good for the morning wake up. View is nice from the hotel top, sometimes you get an upgrade and have fun. Yay! Very much near downtown and harbor. The directory of place and their phone numbers are placed in the room, very helpful in case of emergency. Clean, value for money, no restaurant, only breakfast...
I want to start off by saying, I’m extremely picky and a total neat freak with hotels. The room was large, comfy, super clean and updated. I didn’t notice a thing out of place or any “weird hotel smells”. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s a great value and very comfortable. We had a great view of the water and the staff was super kind and helpful.

Clean and simple accommodations that were perfect for our vacation as we were focusing on Bar Harbor itself and the more popular eastern side of Acadia. The perfect spot if you’re just looking for a place to crash after spending all day out and you don’t need to pay extra for a “resort hotel” to provide you with things to do. The included breakfast was continental-plus with a few hot options rotating...
First and last time I stay here. The hotel is in a good location, is clean and well maintained. The only criticism of the facility is that you can hear conversations in nearby rooms and the hallway very clearly. The reason this is a one time stay is that when I asked for a one o'clock checkout so I could quickly shower after a morning hike, I was told there was a charge. I travel routinely for work...
Front desk staff were extremely helpful and went above & beyond to give us recommendations when we had questions. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the free breakfast was good. Location is a quick drive to Acadia National Park & downtown Bar Harbor.
Booked Acadia Inn for an end of season family vacation in Maine. Conveniently located minutes to downtown Bar Harbor and is actually a stop on the Island Explorer shuttle. Cute little hotel just outside of Bar Harbor. Check in was easy. Room was roomy. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom was roomy. Our family had an amazing stay at this hotel. We had two bedrooms and plenty of room for our family of 5. The hotel was located in a great location perfect for walking downtown to all the shops and to the harbor. The rooms were clean and the front desk provided a light breakfast and fresh cookies 24 hour a day! Loved it all and would highly recommend it.
One of the best hotel experiences! The rooms were clean and kept clean! Fridge in room was very helpful, and they had fresh cookies every night and coffee and yogurt / muffins every morning for the guests! We visited the Little Fig on 9/30/22, and found the team to be very friendly and accommodating. Nice, clean rooms with a forgotten feature- housekeeping service everyday- you don't have to request it. Breakfast items and coffee each morning, right in the middle of Bar Harbor. What I liked about this hotel is the staff, they were super nice and helpful. I had to check in late due to a long drive and had a little confusion as to where to park since the back was pretty much filled. This has been the best experience out of 3 years of traveling across the country! It is newly remodeled (only been open for 3 weeks as of the time of this posting). My husband and I stayed at Queen Anne's for three nights and lived every moment. The hotel has a lot of personality and you can really tell the theme was well thought out. Pleasantly surprised with how good our stay was here! We loved how clean and vintage it was. Super close to Bar Harbor and affordable! Loved the breakfast that was brought right to our door too. Thank you Adam for an amazing stay! We will be back.
I was a bit worried about it being a motel, but boy was I happily surprised! This place is not on the water, but literally 2 minute drive to Bar Harbor. You could definitely walk, if you’d like. Exceptional service, Neil was particularly wonderful. Room was spotless, right on Main Street within walking distance from everything. Wonderful breakfast each morning. Every staff member was helpful and welcoming. They even had a list printed out of places to see on rainy days. Wonderful little details of service throughout the hotel that made my stay exceptional!
My stay at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Arriving on their first night open for the season, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and outstanding service from the staff. They were not only helpful and friendly but also highly informative, providing valuable insights and recommendations about the area. The common areas of the hotel exuded elegance and sophistication...
Beautiful hotel. Multistory with elevators. Recently renovated. Great staff. Breakfast included. Rooms are very clean and quiet. The rooms are beautifully organized and decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Walking distance from many shops and restaurants in downtown Bar Harbor. This hotel is only a few miles driving distance from Acadia National Park. You can actually hike to several Acadia trails...
Had our 2nd stay at the Grand Hotel over the Labor Day holiday. The staff and guests were fantastic for the most part. The only issue was the reservation. Apparently I made the reservation before our fight schedule was finalized. So when I called the hotel to confirm a week in advance, we didn't have a room after all. But the good news is they had an even bigger room for the same price. The room was...
Awesome, affordable, and friendly hotel. Front desk was very accommodating to our questions about Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park in general. They also provided us with the best times to go visit bar Island, the tide charts, and Cadillac Mountain timings. The rooms were very clean, the continental breakfast was decent, and there was 24-hour hot chocolate and coffee available for those long cold...

this was my favorite place to stay during our New England road trip. the front desk crew are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the chocolate chip chunk cookies helped, too. they had a great breakfast spread with lots of options. their rooms were clean, quiet, organized, and well-appointed. I will definitely stay here again!
The perfect place to stay to visit Acadia National Park! If you have never stayed in a motel, don't worry Bar Harbor Motel has everything you need. The check in was simple and the front desk staff was so friendly. I loved that you could park right in front of your room, so no dragging your bags into lobbies, elevators, etc. The room was very clean and there was a coffee pot! The breakfast exceeded...
Bar Harbor Motel's staff was incredibly friendly. Carol and Gina deserve a raise for how accommodating they were to my family. They provided information on transit, places to eat, and Acadia National Park. The breakfast should be considered the standard in Hotels/Motels. The breakfast staff was quick to replenish any out of stock items and there was plenty to choose from. Coffee, Tea, Milk, Cereal...
Stayed here at the Bar Harbor Motel September 26th to the 28th. I had never stayed at a motel before this trip and I was pleasantly surprised, and pleased with my stay here. The room was so comfortable and had lots of character. The location was good as well. Close to downtown, and Acadia. I also really enjoyed the breakfast as well. The muffins were delicious. Would definitely recommend staying here...
Great location. Great room. Great staff. Excellent complimentary breakfast. Beautiful, well maintained grounds. Easy parking right in front of your unit. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you use the park shuttle, one of the stops for the Eden street line is right outside the lobby of the motel.
The Bar Harbor Motel is wonderful! My husband and I stayed here while on a weekend trip with friends and the rooms were great! We were in one of the rooms that had two bedrooms that were connected by the bathroom/storage area, so there was a lot of space! We made ourselves right at home! :) The bed was SO comfortable, both the mattress softness and the sheets were wonderful. We were extremely impressed...

The room is small, but very clean, and the motel is well kept. Friendly staff, designated parking and beautiful area.
Good clean room with only the amenities we needed! Microwave, fridge and small coffee maker....definitely choose Acadia Pines again!!
The room is a good size and convenient for the price. It wasn't the cleanest place I ever stayed, I noticed mold on the shower curtain and the construction is a pain!
Perfect location comfortable and homey. The staff top of the line. We are going back this year and it's our 5th year same room. Vaunted wait.

Clean place to stay. Occasional moments you might hear others or the stairs; but otherwise, quiet. Few blocks from grocery store and not too far from the village green-pier area. Easy drive to Acadia as well. The room does lack a microwave though.
Free coffee in the lobby 24/7 and accessible microwave as well as water bottle fill station. Friendly staff, susie was a warm face to see in the morning. Eric was also friendly to one of my friends I stayed here with. Close proximity to town as well.
Newly renovated motel rooms were just as advertised with the online pictures! Rooms were clean we had great service daily. Perfect location, just a 5-10 min walk to downtown bar harbor!! Only downfall was no coffee/tea in your room, had to go to front office to get coffee/tea and muffins. But that wasn’t a major inconvenience!
Great place to stay in bar harbor! Rooms were very clean and cozy. I saw a previous review that there were no hair dryers or microwave but our room had both and a fridge. The staff at check in are so friendly and helpful. Great location to get to everything around town. There are fresh delicious blueberry muffins in the morning as well as coffee and tea. We loved our stay there and plan to stay at...
I love how clean and how comfortable and how very quiet and serene this motel is. The front desk staff, Danette and Susie, were beyond kind to us, and the coffee is great and thank you for making it available. There are lounge chairs under the massive large trees where you can just bask in the breeze and the shade for hours if you like but most of all, the bed and the bedding is beyond comfortable...
