Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel

Alex, manager on duty, was extremely rude. My fiance booked our stay. I usually do it for us. We had a problem with our reservation and she did not try to resolve the issue. She made me feel embarrassed because she was extremely loud and other guests could overhear our conversation. I thought I would be treated with respect since we are apart of the Marriott loyalty program and I always book at Marriott locations. I'm debating on switching brands and trying the Hyatt or Hilton. Perhaps, they would value my status or just treat me kind because that's the right thing to do. I would not recommend this property based on the hospitality. There's better hotels in the area that provide world class service. AVOID THIS HOTEL!

Terrible customer service, everyone I dealt with was less than accommodating. Everyone I spoke with on the phone prior to check in the day of was extremely rude.

I booked the room however, my friend checked in before me. They requested a card to keep on file for incidentals. She let me know they took her card info, because I told her I planned to give them my credit card. For whatever reason even though they took her card information they put a hold of over $200 on my debit card. My stay was 2 nights and the hold did not come off until 3 days after checkout, causing an inconvenience on my weekend plans as well as the start to my work week.

I booked this hotel because I stayed at a renaissance hotel in Florida and it was gorgeous and very luxurious. This was the exact opposite, very disappointing. I’ve been staying at Marriott locations for years and only book with them when traveling anywhere. This put a sour taste in my mouth for sure.
