Charlotte, 508 East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard 🧭 Map
We absolutely loved this hotel! We came to celebrate my husbands birthday since it was close to Chima Steakhouse. I spoke to Ebony at the front desk asking for an upgrade and if they could do anything complimentary and she definitely hooked us up! She was able to upgrade us to the king room with living space and the room and view were gorgeous! My husband loved it! Unfortunately the manager for the...
Self parking in an extremely tight and limited parking garage shared with the Hampton Inn at a cost of $35. Extremely limited to no handicap parking and nothing suitable for a mobility vehicle. Hotel staff is outstanding except the bar/restaurant which is severely mismanaged. Menu is limited and service is limited to the single bar tender. Hotel would be a 5 star as the parking situation is beyond...
Hilton Garden in downtown Charlotte has been pleasantly updated. Onsite parking is plentiful here with a parking deck that adjoins the Hampton and an apartment building making it easy to come and go. Rooms are nice. I think the pool and gym disappeared with the remodel and no onsite restaurant from breakfast until 5p. Like everywhere downtown it can be loud with ambulances and cars at night but...
From check in to check out, I had a great experience. Ebony checked me in and was very helpful. Gary at the bar was also great. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location was central to the stadium and downtown. Can’t wait to come back for football season.
We were surprised when we arrived and found we had a suite. It was comfortable, clean, and had a nice view of Charlotte from the windows. The staff was very professional and friendly. The restaurant served good food but was a little pricey. Still a good place to stay. Also within walking distance of other restaurants and attractions.
We stayed here last night while attending the Metallica concert at BOA Stadium. The hotel itself is in a great location. It's convenient to walk to the Bank of America Stadium or Spectrum Center, or really anywhere else in uptown Charlotte. It's also close to the interstate so there's easy access. The HGI and Hampton Inn are attached and share a parking garage which can be busy. When we arrived, someone...

Drury Inn & Suites Arrowood

My husband and I spent 1 night here while on our way to visit family members north of Charlotte, and were very impressed by the friendly staff, spacious and well-equipped one bedroom suite, comfortable bed, clean well cared for facility, evening social hour with free food and drinks, and great breakfast buffet with lots of options. We've stayed in Drury Inns several times before in other locations...
Don't consider staying at any other place in the area. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, my only complaint was that I couldn't stay another night because I had to get back home to work. Thank you for a great experience.
This hotel is amazing! Everything looks and smells so clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff are so friendly and cheerful. We will definitely stay here again!
The most Amazing experience at an hotel in a long time. From the staff to the rooms. Everything was amazing time, the spa was so enjoyable and the hotel was so conveniently close to the city.
Will always stay at a Drury when possible. Wonderful to have everyone speak english! Great amenities. Price reasonable except for pet fee.
Nice hotel great staff convenient to where we needed to be. We were greeted by name and given early check-in as we were there for a funeral and needed to get to the rest of the family. Front desk staff were helpful and r=friendly. Breakfast staff was especially helpful and friendly.

Holiday Inn University, an IHG Hotel
Charlotte, 8520 University Executive Park 🧭 Map
Very satisfied, a good experience for a family trip.
The room is nice and the facilities are suitable. There is a bar for dinner and fresh beer is available. You can also buy it from outside in the shed outside the restaurant on the first floor. There are many choices of food around, many supermarkets, and Sam's Club. The university environment is also very good.
Very good service, perfect location. Close to restaurants and department stores. The only issue is that the room advertisements mention queen-size beds, but they certainly aren't. Apart from that detail, our stay was perfect.
The hotel facilities are good, but the most unfortunate thing is that the car window was broken when it was parked in the hotel parking lot, and all the exhibits used for the exhibition were stolen! !
It's very close to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and the school has a jogging track. The hotel facilities are also very new and clean. I always think Holiday Inn is excellent in the same price range.
The room smells. Not sure because of what.
There are chairs in front of main entrance, but guests are there smoking, there is no sign for "No Smoking within x feet of the entrance"
The $15 breakfast is not worth the money.

The room is very big and very nice
Staff personable and friendly. Check in/out a breeze. The rooms were beautiful and spotless. Breakfast is a lovely section. Well stocked with great choices for everyone. Kids too! Bonus supplying take out trays and bags. We enjoyed our stay and will look for Hyatt on our future trips!
Steven was a real gem to give us such outstanding valet service. He went the extra mile to make it a great time for our band.
Additionally I wanted to say that the mgr Jafar and the ladies working the check-in desk Angel (and maybe Katrina) and many other staff members gave us outstanding service. Really excellent.
Big thanks to all from the 1&Dun Team.
Decent location. Parking is a hassle if you don't valet. But I need access to things in my vehicle so .. I self parked in a surface lot to the west. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Good air-conditioning. There is a restaurant that you can reach by going down the hotel elevators to the lobby and then up another set of elevators.... Oddly laid out hotel. Lobby is on 10th floor.... Just a few things...
PROS- Free Breakfast bar. Large quiet rooms. Location to downtown events. Views. CONS- Hotel starts on 10th floor. 1 working elevator. I parked in the lot in front and got an $85 ticket. No free parking. Dirty carpet in rooms. Not very modern.
The rooms were nice and spacious. The hotel did not have a pool, which was very disappointing. The area where we checked in was hot. The receptionist was great. I'm sorry she had to endure the heat due to air conditioning issues. No where to park your car on the street. Everything in the area came with a price, and the valey parking was $38.00 a night. They also had a restaurant on the premises...

The warm choc chip cookies are awesome
Beds were GREAT! Bring a noise machine if a lite sleeper like me. The airport runway is not far away. The breakfast buffet was very good, chef can make you omelet of waffle in the kitchen. Servers great too. Corporate needs to review outside courtyard/pool area. Pool out of order, patio area could use a cleaning, smoking area smelled, of course, used cigar awaiting owners return. And the access doors...
Recently, I stayed overnight at this hotel to catch a fly out of Charlotte. The hotel is older, so it's dated. However, it has decent amenities, pool, and gym. The staff was great! They were very professional, helpful, and very kind, wanting to make out short stay pleasant. We used our hotel food credit to get some chicken tenders. The food was good homemade tenders and not the cheap frozen kind. I...
The rooms were nice but the front staff was not friendly at all. Cookies- nope. Smiles- nope.
The beds were comfortable. For a two bed room, we got two towels. Weird. The elevator didn’t work. Not a problem for us but if you can’t do stairs then it would have been a problem.
The room was not cleaned well enough. Yesterday's bed sheets were inexplicably placed in the bathtub. The bathroom ceiling was not clean. It was barely ok for a business trip. It was close to the airport.
Super nice staff, good shuttle service from airport and if I ate chocolate chip cookies I would have been over the moon to receive the warm one when we checked in.

My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte- Waverly turned out quite solid for the price I paid! I was welcomed to the property by Kat, who even sent a text to my personal phone to check in on me during my stay. Top tier guest service for sure. This is one of the best hotels around. I love love the location. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. Food, shopping and a place for the children to run and play! The staff is readily available. James is awesome!! If you you're looking for a place to stay for a day, week or the weekend check them out!
Place is in a great spot with lots of walkable restaurants, bars, and grocery store in the same parking area. James at the front was very friendly and even asked which floor we would prefer. Pool is super small and was busy but we did get to enjoy when it got a little less busy. Salt water which is my preference. Towels were gone but I understand that they were busy. Loved this place but you do get what you pay for place can get loud ceilings leak and smells like cigarettes
Decent hotel. Fair price. Not my favorite location in CLT, but a decent and safe area. Breakfast is ok. Staff were nice. The Chili's around the corner was good for dinner.
A pretty ordinary three star kind of place as of February 2018, but you can see that management is working hard to upgrade and improve it. Special shout-out to April on the front desk, whose work is outstanding. She seems to anticipate your every question or request, and has the answer ready even before you ask.
My husband and I checked in on Friday evening and checked out Sunday morning. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the General Manager who has the absolute best customer service skills. Brand new. Super clean. Super nice staff
Sadly, despite COVID, not a mask in sight.
The majority of the staff that I met did not wear a mask despite the mandatory mask requirement in Mecklenburg county. But the rooms were new and comfortable. However if you are VOC sensitive you may want to wait since the hotel is very new
Great staff. Rooms are very nice and clean. Room rate is reasonable.
We just stayed here with our daughter's soccer team during a tournament. It's new, so there were kinks to be worked out with the group reservations. SpringHill Suites at Carowinds

Great hotel with a view of Carowinds amusement park park, about a ten minute walk away. My room was great, decent free breakfast bar. Small bar open in the evenings
So we stayed for about 3 days while we visited carowinds. (.5 miles by path, .38 direct across parking lot walking) Only negatives we had was no freezer on the fridge and no tub (daughter doesn't do shower) we tried to think of negatives and that's about it. The pool is also small for the number of guests with kids who are their / use it. Room was really clean there was no problems everything worked...
We have been staying at the Springhill Suites by Marriott at Carowinds for our trips since it opened a few years ago. So we were there last night for our yearly trek to Carowinds. You can tell someone tried to...
This hotel had such comfortable beds and pillows. My daughter and I only stayed for one night to break up a long road trip, but we both slept so well!! Could have been better for the price. Arrived on a Thursday afternoon and was happy the hotel allowed us an early check in. This is a very nice hotel for being a mid-range priced hotel. The lobby is very nice and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Excellent spot for a layover. Hotel was clean, staff were very pleasant. Room was spacious enough for our family of 5. Our server in the lobby restaurant was outstanding! Beds were comfy, and check-in and out procedures were very easy.
Very welcoming staff. Pool was maintained, nice rocking chairs right out front, easy parking. Made my trip even better with the complimentary breakfast !
Little old, you could see the age of the paint while in the bathroom as its starting to peel, has smell of grease from people who've stayed before and cooked. Kitchen exhaust is not exhausting air rather just blowing it back into the room filling your room with smoke so its kind of pointless.
Overall ok, smelled funky in the hall and room. Room was spacious. Was doing some work in lobby and asked desk agent think his name was Ralph to turn the channel from Fox news to a local channel. that didn't get done. Fox news is offensive and I'm surprised Marriott allows this.

Within half an hour, staff had returned my phone to me at the airport. Saved my entire trip. Would absolutely stay again for the service.
We stayed for a quick overnight before a flight out of CLT in the morning. The building and grounds were super clean. The hotel restaurant and bar were probably the best I’ve experienced. Our bartender, James made a cosmo that my wife said was the best that she’s ever had. I wish that I had gotten the chef’s name because the food was fantastic! Great night of sleep, too.
The room was super clean, bed was comfortable, we were greeted by Morgan as soon as we walked in after having a horrible experience at the airport with canceled flight and luggage that was already checked. She really brightened our evening. She offered toothpaste and tooth brushes and deodorant as we had nothing. Thank you Hilton Garden inn for a wonderful experience! And thank you Morgan!!

I also took advantage of the shuttle service, and both Michael and Jason were great conversationalists. I would definitely stay here again!
Nice hotel in a good location close to many restaurants. Good value for money. However, the bistro is not worth mentioning. Nice for sitting outside. Rooms are good and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Got here after 10PM, was concerned about the review regarding the truck break-in, but we left our luggage on a canvas bag on top of our vehicle all night (parked in a side lot) and no issues at all. Security head was at the front desk when we were checking in, asked him about it and he said it should be fine as there are not really any issues around that area.
