If you are attending shows at the Convention Center this is the place to stay. Though if you are the type in the evening that likes to relax in your room to watch TV they don't have many channel selections. A lot of vagrants walking around and will bother and beg people for money and cigarettes. Valet is available and quick. Self park is $35, valet is $45. So just spend the extra $10 and do valet
A comfy robe is provided. The room is huge and comfortable. I loved the ambiance. Right in the center of Charlotte. Lots to walk yo including the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Beautiful downtown view. Great stay. Nice touch - complimentary water and sleep aid to rub on wrists.
The Westin in downtown Charlotte, a great place to stay. With the light rail just a few feet away. Convenient location, attractions aplenty, Restaurants and shops, all within easy reach. Comfortable rooms, refined and cozy, Heavenly Beds, towels, and robes. Great amenities, 24/7 gym, Southern cuisine, drinks at the bar. Cleanliness, attention to detail, Rooms well-maintained, a pleasure to stay. Friendly...
This was a great hotel. I stayed here with my boyfriend for an overnight trip. Cleanest hotel I’ve ever seen. The housekeeping staff definitely do their jobs well. Super appreciative of them of doing such a great job. It smelled clean, looked clean, was close to many locations to eat and bar hop, within walking distance of several theaters and the Bank of America stadium. There are 6 elevators, quiet...
Nice hotel...just needs some updates. Staff was very friendly. Valet was quick. Room was nice. The shower was fantastic. No room service while we were there, which was a bummer.
No matter what negative review there is, you can ignore it. These people are simply unhappy. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and amazing. The location in uptown Charlotte is ideal. The lobby is large and elegant, with a lounge and bar. My room was clean, spacious and very beautiful. I stayed in the Royal Suite on the 21st floor with a great view of the city. The shower is large compared to other...

Nice spot right in the middle of things. M lounge was well stocked for breakfast snacks and dessert. The gym was well equipped with plenty of treadmills, free weights and a room for spinning. Good towel service. We did not use the restaurant but it looked nice and had a good menu.
Hotel is nice. Restaurant is great. Bed was comfy. Staff is very friendly. Valet was exceptional. Only down here is the noise. The street down below is so loud. Bass from cars. Loud cars revving and fire trucks. I stayed in a hotel in Downtown Detroit they was near the people mover. It’s an elevated train that runs. The room had a small white noise machine that you could run during the night to cut...
I want to rate this hotel higher, but due to the poor level of sleep we got here, I can't, and I am not sure I will stay here again. Although I actually like it. Let's start with the positive condition. The bed was super comfortable, and the pillows were great. The hotel is in the central area of uptown. It has clean and modern rooms. The front desk staff was great. The young man handling the valet...
The room was spacious, the king size bed was super comfortable and I live out west so the shower pressure was spectacular.
Beautiful hotel. You have to Valet your car and you only pay one time which we really liked. If you don't want to valet there are some parking decks close by. The room was nice. The temperature in the room was just not wanting to cooperate. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom wasn't really private if you want privacy. The location of the hotel was great. So much to do in walking distance. We enjoyed...
This was first time in Charlotte and I chose this Marriott based on location. I was not disappointed with a beautiful lobby and reception area. There were many options of food and drink to choose from including a great coffee joint for breakfast and a fun bar in the evening. The rooms were typical modern Marriott with everything you would expect.

Nice hotel but totally unprepared to be opened. Lack of people working. No ice machine on each floor. Great location. Hopefully will get better in a few months.
They were working so hard to keep everyone at the hotel pleased, and any employee you could genuinely tell they were trying really hard to please their guests. So happy to come here, and they made North Carolina a magical place!
Service at brunch was excellent (thanks Matt!) and the rooftop pool and bar are so much fun. Definitely recommend staying here!
Fantastic location and property with an amazingly warm and accommodating staff. We got everything we expected (and perhaps more!) from the JW; we are lucky to have this gem so close to home!

This is a nice hotel and located close to a lot of downtown restaurants. There is also a restaurant in the hotel. There is a parking fee added to your room for each night, but valet parking is also available. The rooms were clean and comfy. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that every time we walked out the doors we were bombarded by homeless people asking for money. Management...
I came last weekend for my cousins wedding.,The hotel is in a good location and the staff was nice and the wedding was on the top floor. The van driver Marlow took us to the park so we could take pictures...It was last minute on our part but he was on it and got us there quick...we was running late but before we could call back for pickup he was already there waiting. It was super hot and when we got...
Friendly staff, very clean hotel overall. Stayed for a night while visiting from out of town. Hotel was really easy to find and walking distance to restraunts, bars, shopping and both trains. Roof top pool and hot tub offer a chance to relax amongst the skyscrapers of uptown Charlotte. Rooms were decent sized, beds are super comfortable and check in process was a breeze.
Absolutely enjoyed staying here. Only complaints would be the parking situation (you have to walk a bit unless you get valet), the lack of fan in the bathroom, and the lack of a complementary breakfast. Overall, these "issues" don't deserve a star less. So impressed with the staff, room cleanliness, and location. I guarantee we will be back. Bartenders at the hotel bar are fantastic as well. Pool has...
The staff were polite but very personable. They made us feel comfortable and would definitely come back. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was situated right in the heart of the city so it was easy to walk to a lot of different hotspots. That being said it can also be a little noisy on Saturday night but nothing you can't sleep through.
Hotel was clean, comfortable, and close to everything. The staff was amazing- JJ, Luke, and the other front desk staff went over and above when we arrived to find their pool closed (and had 2 very disappointed kids). JJ found another close hotel with an open pool, arranged for us to be able to use it, provided transportation there and picked us up when our kids were done swimming. Luke gave us a...
It was less than 2 blocks from the location that I was visiting and so I did not need to rent a car. Additionally, it is very close to great restaurants. Everything was clean and I did not require anything additional. Iron with ironing board, hair dryer, good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and a security box if needed. Very well maintained beautiful quiet hotel. Great location close to many options for restaurants and shopping. Staff is friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. Housekeeping is top notch! Only downside was the bed was not very comfortable and did not like the feather pillows- but that is a personal preference.
The short story is this is a nice hotel with a few shortcomings. The longer version is the rooms are very modern and well laid out...finally a hotel room frig that is actually cold, and a 12 foot bench to put all my stuff. I enjoyed the easily accessed ice/water machine in the hallway. The location is great, the parking (although free) is not. With one exception the staff was apathetic and don't expect...
Parking was easy. Concierge staff was great. Breakfast was really good. Bacon was crispy and perfect, the croissants were amazing. They charge for coffee (not sure if there was a complimentary station somewhere and I missed it, not sure.) Great area. Safe. I didn’t check out the rooftop bar. I wish I had. Room service didn’t come at all so I thought that was different.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights visiting our son and his family. What a beautiful and welcoming hotel! It seems to be new and from the friendly welcome at the front desk to workers in the restaurant, the housecleaners, and others in the elevator, everyone was so friendly and polite. Our room was spotless and quiet, the mattress was firm, and we had an in-room refrigerator and...
Booked 2 double beds for 3 people. Everything was clean and tidy. However, they should give us towels equal to the number of people in the reservation. Bring your own toothbrush and all personal items. They only provide a small bar of soap for body and face and 3 bottles of conditioner, shampoo and shower gel. Check in time: 4:00 PM Check out time: 12:00 PM. Free parking!
We had such a fantastic experience, the service from the staff was amazing and we rarely saw anyone. It is right next to some incredible restaurants to eat at and also close to shopping. and it feels like it is just a short drive away from everything you need! We stayed at the Renaissance South Park and were pleased with the accommodations overall. Initially, there was some confusion during check-in regarding our Titanium Elite benefits. As loyal members, we usually receive complimentary upgrades, including balconies, but were told we’d need to pay an additional $50 for one. This was not the experience we’re accustomed to. However, after using our Suite...
I really enjoyed my stay. Would highly recommend the hotel. Staff greeted you with good energy. Explained all the amenities. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. There was live music in the bar area. Close to Southpark mall and restaurants.
I enjoyed my stay at Renaissance. The staff is welcoming and pleasant. The outdoor and lobby is beautiful. There is a restaurant on site but did not get a chance to try it during my short stay. The room and bed is updated and comfortable. I did need assistance and staff was quick and helpful. My one complaint and reason for star removal is the hallways could use an update and the chair in my room was...
Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable, pillows leave a bit to be desired but they aren’t a deal breaker. Great spread of snacks in the lounge. Hotel is older but well kept and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Great location with walkable restaurants and a brewery right across the street.
Stayed here to attend a conference within the hotel. My room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and modern. The bathroom was great, with a large walk-in shower and powerful hot water. All staff were friendly & helpful. Check-in and check-out were quick & easy. Communal areas were bright & spacious. I couldn’t wish for anything more from a business hotel.
Helpful/friendly staff (gave us early checkin/late check out). Enjoyed club room. Room was comfortable. We stayed here as short drive to airport ready for flight.

Ideal location downtown Charlotte. Near The Alley bars and restaurants. Nice executive lounge for members. Near many 5-star restaurants. Gorgeous art. Very nice rooftop bar. Excellent room style, comfort, and amenities. Cleaning staff is very friendly and thoughtful. So relaxing here.
I travel frequently and have come to expect underwhelming service at most “high end” hotels. My recent stay at the Grand Bohemian Charlotte was quite a pleasant surprise. Best hotel experience I’ve had in years. Every single person on the staff provided outstanding service. They have a very convenient complimentary local car service. Very interesting high end Marriott property in downtown Charlotte. First, I will say that the staff is definitely on the job and quickly caters to any of your needs or requests. The views from the rooms (I had a high corner room) provide a wide canvas to see most of the city and activity. The suites are very spacious and decked out. You may consider the styling a bit over the top or gaudy even. The...
We were surprised that using the restaurant for breakfast required a reservation and/or a 30 minute+/- wait?? The food was good and once seated, the service was good.
CAN YOU SAY LIFE SAVERS????? I recently stayed at the hotel listed above and had a PHENOMENAL time! I must say, the service was superb. The food exquisite. Lastly, and most importantly, the service was A1, top notch! But this is not why I write this review... I write this review to highlight two workers there: Alyse and Sydney. Wonderfully dog-friendly, clean, and excellent service! The team at Kimpton Tryon were extraordinarily accommodating for us (dog included) throughout our trip. The location is fantastic (particularly if traveling with a dog)....
The rooms were very clean. As for the comfort: pillows were mainly flat but the mattress was comfortable, so I slept well. The decor seemed a bit of a missed match, seemed a bit off. The exterior appearance of this Marriott property does not do the interior justice! The rooms were recently renovated in conformance with Marriott's new direction in terms of style and things turned out very well. I was late arriving (after midnight) but nevertheless the staff made sure I was warmly greeted and got what I needed for a comfortable nights rest. 5 star service.
Right in downtown, pay to park garage is $25 per reservation. Hotel is still under construction so there's some rerouting and what not but not horrible. Heavy smell of pot on the first couple floors, but above 4 it seemed to dissipate. Maybe it's construction smells? Glad I was up higher though. 10th floor and I can still hear traffic down below but no inside the hotel noise even though my room was...
So ongoing construction/ remodeling has one of the three elevators permanently tied up. The gym is closed for renovation but we could use the Hampton Inn's (in and adjacent building). Also, hot water was not always available without a wait (sometimes 20 minutes or more). The staff...
This was our second stay at this location. The rooms are modern, updated and accommodating and look good to the eye. During our first stay a few months ago, the water was brown. Overall very nice motel for this price point. Two negatives are the location and one of the workers named Z. Z, was very rude. Not only to me but to most of the guest. My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte- Waverly turned out quite solid for the price I paid! I was welcomed to the property by Kat, who even sent a text to my personal phone to check in on me during my stay. Top tier guest service for sure. As for the hotel, this is a 7-story hotel property in a development district, within close walking distance to shopping and dining options like McDonald's,...
This is one of the best hotels around. I love love the location. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. Food, shopping and a place for the children to run and play! The staff is readily available. James is awesome!! If you you're looking for a place to stay for a day, week or the weekend check them out!

Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating as well as the housekeeping staff. We will definitely be back!

There are tons of places to eat, shop, and most anything else you might need within walking distance...
