Very nice hotel. Beds were comfortable and the location to the Bank of America Stadium was very convenient.
The hotel itself along with the staff were both fantastic but unfortunately I did not get the room I reserved and paid for (corner room) and was charged for a corner room
The en suite bathroom to use an update. However, everything was nice clean convenient in every staff member was friendly. I would stay here again.
The room was great and the little amenities like the roll on essential roll was lovely. The parking situation is a challenge because the structure is super tight and confusing but whatever. It’s more in a central business district type location so it’s not walkable to a ton of local spots but renting a scooter made all the difference. Easy to walk to the Whole Foods which is great. Would stay again...
This is a beautiful property with a friendly informative staff, luxurious bedding and amenities. It is centrally located in downtown Charlotte, about 15 minutes or less from the airport.
I have stayed here four or five times. Thank you very much to the service staff.

Nice spot right in the middle of things. M lounge was well stocked for breakfast snacks and dessert. The gym was well equipped with plenty of treadmills, free weights and a room for spinning. Good towel service. We did not use the restaurant but it looked nice and had a good menu.
Hotel is nice. Restaurant is great. Bed was comfy. Staff is very friendly. Valet was exceptional. Only down here is the noise. The street down below is so loud. Bass from cars. Loud cars revving and fire trucks. I stayed in a hotel in Downtown Detroit they was near the people mover. It’s an elevated train that runs. The room had a small white noise machine that you could run during the night to cut...
I want to rate this hotel higher, but due to the poor level of sleep we got here, I can't, and I am not sure I will stay here again. Although I actually like it. Let's start with the positive condition. The bed was super comfortable, and the pillows were great. The hotel is in the central area of uptown. It has clean and modern rooms. The front desk staff was great. The young man handling the valet...
The room was spacious, the king size bed was super comfortable and I live out west so the shower pressure was spectacular.
Beautiful hotel. You have to Valet your car and you only pay one time which we really liked. If you don't want to valet there are some parking decks close by. The room was nice. The temperature in the room was just not wanting to cooperate. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom wasn't really private if you want privacy. The location of the hotel was great. So much to do in walking distance. We enjoyed...
This was first time in Charlotte and I chose this Marriott based on location. I was not disappointed with a beautiful lobby and reception area. There were many options of food and drink to choose from including a great coffee joint for breakfast and a fun bar in the evening. The rooms were typical modern Marriott with everything you would expect.

Nice hotel but totally unprepared to be opened. Lack of people working. No ice machine on each floor. Great location. Hopefully will get better in a few months.
They were working so hard to keep everyone at the hotel pleased, and any employee you could genuinely tell they were trying really hard to please their guests. So happy to come here, and they made North Carolina a magical place!
Service at brunch was excellent (thanks Matt!) and the rooftop pool and bar are so much fun. Definitely recommend staying here!
Fantastic location and property with an amazingly warm and accommodating staff. We got everything we expected (and perhaps more!) from the JW; we are lucky to have this gem so close to home!

This is a nice hotel and located close to a lot of downtown restaurants. There is also a restaurant in the hotel. There is a parking fee added to your room for each night, but valet parking is also available. The rooms were clean and comfy. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that every time we walked out the doors we were bombarded by homeless people asking for money. Management...
I came last weekend for my cousins wedding.,The hotel is in a good location and the staff was nice and the wedding was on the top floor. The van driver Marlow took us to the park so we could take pictures...It was last minute on our part but he was on it and got us there quick...we was running late but before we could call back for pickup he was already there waiting. It was super hot and when we got...
Friendly staff, very clean hotel overall. Stayed for a night while visiting from out of town. Hotel was really easy to find and walking distance to restraunts, bars, shopping and both trains. Roof top pool and hot tub offer a chance to relax amongst the skyscrapers of uptown Charlotte. Rooms were decent sized, beds are super comfortable and check in process was a breeze.
Absolutely enjoyed staying here. Only complaints would be the parking situation (you have to walk a bit unless you get valet), the lack of fan in the bathroom, and the lack of a complementary breakfast. Overall, these "issues" don't deserve a star less. So impressed with the staff, room cleanliness, and location. I guarantee we will be back. Bartenders at the hotel bar are fantastic as well. Pool has...
The staff were polite but very personable. They made us feel comfortable and would definitely come back. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was situated right in the heart of the city so it was easy to walk to a lot of different hotspots. That being said it can also be a little noisy on Saturday night but nothing you can't sleep through.
Hotel was clean, comfortable, and close to everything. The staff was amazing- JJ, Luke, and the other front desk staff went over and above when we arrived to find their pool closed (and had 2 very disappointed kids). JJ found another close hotel with an open pool, arranged for us to be able to use it, provided transportation there and picked us up when our kids were done swimming. Luke gave us a...
It was less than 2 blocks from the location that I was visiting and so I did not need to rent a car. Additionally, it is very close to great restaurants. Everything was clean and I did not require anything additional. Iron with ironing board, hair dryer, good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and a security box if needed. I needed to print some material at the hotel and they printed it for me...

Wonderfully dog-friendly, clean, and excellent service! The team at Kimpton Tryon were extraordinarily accommodating for us (dog included) throughout our trip. They greeted us whenever we entered / left the hotel, provided us with water when necessary, and a luggage cart as well when packing and unpacking our luggage from the car. The location is fantastic (particularly if traveling with a dog)....
The rooms were very clean. As for the comfort: pillows were mainly flat but the mattress was comfortable, so I slept well. The decor seemed a bit of a missed match, seemed a bit off. The customer service was amazing. All very super friendly and proactive. The location was great as long as you did not want to go outside at night time. I did not feel safe. It was definitely a bit of a culture shock...
A++++ stay! This is one of our favorite hotels to stay. The rooms are large and super clean. The location is amazing with great views of a park and stadium. Best of all is the staff. I was very pleasantly surprised by my visit to this hotel. I was welcomed by Diamond at the front desk and it was if she was inviting me to stay for the night at her home. What up beautiful stay it was! I was only here for one night on my way to Florida but everything about my short stay was perfect. I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff, Nadia and Demarco. Very well maintained beautiful quiet hotel. Great location close to many options for restaurants and shopping. Staff is friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. Housekeeping is top notch! Only downside was the bed was not very comfortable and did not like the feather pillows- but that is a personal preference.
The short story is this is a nice hotel with a few shortcomings. The longer version is the rooms are very modern and well laid out...finally a hotel room frig that is actually cold, and a 12 foot bench to put all my stuff. I enjoyed the easily accessed ice/water machine in the hallway. The location is great, the parking (although free) is not. With one exception the staff was apathetic and don't expect...
Parking was easy. Concierge staff was great. Breakfast was really good. Bacon was crispy and perfect, the croissants were amazing. They charge for coffee (not sure if there was a complimentary station somewhere and I missed it, not sure.) Great area. Safe. I didn’t check out the rooftop bar. I wish I had. Room service didn’t come at all so I thought that was different.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights visiting our son and his family. What a beautiful and welcoming hotel! I recently stayed here during a weekend trip to Charlotte and greatly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were nicely decorated. The staff was also pleasant and helpful. Comfortable bed, clean room, nice bathroom. I enjoyed the common areas, especially the outdoor seating. Tried to enjoy the restaurant but they weren’t serving the dinner menu due to lack of kitchen staff. Was able to order for lunch & a personal pizza took over an hour, & it was disgusting. The guy at the bar was really sweet & comped it, plus he made great drinks. Valet was slow & unprofessional....

The staff was really nice, especially the front facing staff (valets and desk staff). Rooms were clean and laid out very nice and I loved the shower. I was late arriving (after midnight) but nevertheless the staff made sure I was warmly greeted and got what I needed for a comfortable nights rest. 5 star service.
Right in downtown, pay to park garage is $25 per reservation. Hotel is still under construction so there's some rerouting and what not but not horrible. Heavy smell of pot on the first couple floors, but above 4 it seemed to dissipate. Maybe it's construction smells? Glad I was up higher though. 10th floor and I can still hear traffic down below but no inside the hotel noise even though my room was...
So ongoing construction/ remodeling has one of the three elevators permanently tied up. The gym is closed for renovation but we could use the Hampton Inn's (in and adjacent building). Half the lobby is tented in plastic and rooms, although newly refurbished have punch-list items that need attention. Also, hot water was not always available without a wait (sometimes 20 minutes or more). The staff...
This was our second stay at this location. The rooms are modern, updated and accommodating and look good to the eye. During our first stay a few months ago, the water was brown. I rate this Inn a 5 star average. Rooms were nice, staff were nice and knowledgeable. Although, someone else name was on the welcome home paper on the bed. But I assumed the room was probably reserved for someone else. Didn't bother me much. Location was quite convenient for the purpose of my stay. Hotel manager provided refund for uber since shuttle was out of service.
Stayed 2 nights here. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. They also offer dinner and drinks but I did not either of those. My original room had an issue, so the staff quickly upgraded us to a much larger room with no issue. Overall good experience. Hotel is in a pretty central location, especially for what i wanted to see.
We really felt comfortable at this hotel. It was tucked in a beautiful neighborhood, very put together lobby, and breakfast was enough to get us through. We stayed in a king suite and that was plenty room for 3 kids and two adults. The pullout bed was doable for the kids and they offer pack and plays for littles for $10. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is because there was a floss left on...

Extemely pleasent experience. The staff is wonderful. Breakfast was very good. The price was very reasonable and the hotel is in a safe location with several surrounding restaurants.
The front desk staff weren't very cheerful or welcoming, just rattling off the prepared lines. My room was clean at first glance, but when you got to looking it wasnt all that clean. Steven was a real gem to give us such outstanding valet service. He went the extra mile to make it a great time for our band. Additionally I wanted to say that the mgr Jafar and the ladies working the check-in desk Angel (and maybe Katrina) and many other staff members gave us outstanding service. Really excellent. Big thanks to all from the 1&Dun Team.
Decent location. Parking is a hassle if you don't valet. But I need access to things in my vehicle so .. I self parked in a surface lot to the west. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. PROS- Free Breakfast bar. Large quiet rooms. Location to downtown events. Views. CONS- Hotel starts on 10th floor. 1 working elevator. I parked in the lot in front and got an $85 ticket. No free parking. Dirty carpet in rooms. Not very modern.
The rooms were nice and spacious. The hotel did not have a pool, which was very disappointing. The area where we checked in was hot. The receptionist was great. The rooms were nice but the front staff was not friendly at all. Cookies- nope. Smiles- nope. The beds were comfortable. For a two bed room, we got two towels. Weird. The elevator didn’t work. Not a problem for us but if you can’t do stairs then it would have been a problem.
The room was not cleaned well enough. Yesterday's bed sheets were inexplicably placed in the bathtub. The bathroom ceiling was not clean. It was barely ok for a business trip. It was close to the airport.

A pretty ordinary three star kind of place as of February 2018, but you can see that management is working hard to upgrade and improve it. Room was alright, plenty of space and air conditioning, but bathroom could use some improvement. No microwave or fridge. Sketchy people stay/live at this motel. Motel 6 is a great place for dog owners. The price you pay is a fraction of other places. Don't expect 5 star accommodations from a place that charges you and your pets under $80.00 to stay a night.
