Duluth, 200 West First Street 🧭 Map
The experience getting settled into the parking deck and checking in was wonderful. Staff was helpful and very kind. The location was very nice for the view and walking around downtown. The rooms were nice but some features felt outdated, and there was an allergy pill on top of the bedding that the previous guest had left behind. Overall decent experience and would stay there again if it wasn't for...
Pros: Perfect location for our needs (Christmas parade on the street out front) Extra friendly staff Convenient shuttle Comfortable beds Pillow choices Cons: FREEZING pools. My 4 year old was so excited to swim, but we didn't even last 20 minutes before her lips were blue. Dated rooms The wallpaper under the window was constantly wet from condensation - I'm sure there was mold. Tiny refrigerator...
Good experience here. The rooms were as a room would look like and be. Didn't have a microwave though, but everything was clean and in good order except the tub drain didn't drain well. I wish they offered breakfast with the rooms but they do have a cafe to buy your meals. They have two pools which are really cool and the insides are metal which I've never seen before. They also have an arcade with...
Great location, friendly staff, over all was a great experience. Only down falls was we didn’t have a shower curtain for our bathroom, no breakfast in the morning (although there was a cafe downstairs but it was fairly expensive. I bought a mini box of cereal, milk, and a water and it was nearly 10 dollars for the three items), and our toilet got clogged at one point. Nothing super inconvenient but...
Very clean and current hotel with reasonable prices and excellent location...if you are looking for a great way to visit canal park and do want to pay an arm and a leg this is the spot to stay...it is a short walk but I think all of us could use a little more exercise....am I right....well am I?????
I didn't stay here myself, but I had family staying here. The place seemed nice and is fairly large. They have a sit-down breakfast, so it's not free. That might be a deal-breaker for some. Other than that, they have wifi, a pool, hot-tub and pretty much all other basic hotel amenities. There is a parking ramp that they provide for guests. Everything seemed clean from my view and it appears you could...

The water park was great, kids had a great time. Hours between 10 to 5 you need to find something for the family to do and there is a lot to do in Duluth. The rooms was nice but one bed had something sticky under the pillow, so I don’t think they changed the sheets. Low on staff but what was available was friendly and helpful. No doggie bags like advertised, it was a long line to try to order food
This was my first time at Edgewater & we had a great time. We got a deal on the room & the room was very spacious. The heater fan was a little noisy. Waterpark was even better than I thought it would be, the kids had a blast. The lifeguard staff was awesome, very diligent at watching the water & guests. Quote frankly, the best lifeguard staff I've seen. Kudos to them for sure!! The only thing I...
10/10 recommend. After we booked this hotel, I looked at the reviews and was skeptical. We had a lake facing room and yes the rooms could use some updates, but they were clean. The staff was super friendly as well. The waterpark was awesome for all ages (even the adults). We will for sure be staying here again!
The hotel is a nice price for all thats included. They try to make it a bit more upscale than it truly is, but it's not too shabby. The park is fun but nothing spectacular. I'm not sure the cost for just the park would be worth it without the room. The indoor park overall is pretty small. The blue slide was fairly fun, the green slide was painful and I'd definitely avoid it. Overall the place is a...
The commercials and photos make this place look huge. Glad a we went off season, I can't imagine what it would be like in the summer time. Breakfast was tasty but the dining room appears to be only picked up every hour as out looked like a disaster hit. As more people came in the tried quickly to clean it up but there was a lot of catch up to do. Not sure if we would come back. Great views of lake...
We stayed at the Edge Water with our 2 year old and 5 year old son and daughter. They loved it! There was plenty of fun for their age group at the water park and our 5 year old loved the mini golf, too. There were some good views of Superior from our room even though ours was on the additional rooms apart from the main building. We stayed in a room with two queen beds. The beds were very squeaky and...

great location lake view. Nice staff smooth check in. A lot of fun things and restaurants within walking distance.
Met a friend for a drink and some food in the 301 restaurant. We had a very good meal in a nice atmosphere. Not an extensive menu, but some hearty MN options and a couple of eclectic choices also. I did not stay here, but my friend was in town for business and said the rooms were very nice. Great location in downtown Duluth.
Clean & comfy. Staff were so kind & accommodating! We stayed at the last minute due to an unexpected family hospitalization in Duluth. We could not have had more compassionate people helping us book a room & navigate our way. Will return. Thank you!
This hotel is in an excellent spot! Easily walkable to most everything along the water front parking is a bit tricky with the skyway access. Lee was one of the best desk agents I've ever had the pleasure to interact with. She was mindful, knowledgeable and just awesome to talk too! I'll definitely have this Sheraton on my short list for future stays!
Great rooms. Elevator mandatory to get to rooms. Service is good. Very reserved. Downtown Duluth still torn up with construction. Parking is a nightmare. 1/2 mile walk to ramp. Rooms are fantastic. Did not get a view of the Lake this time.
We enjoyed our 1 night stay. The room was clean. The parking garage cost $7 *with* a hotel validation. The way the front desk person described it I thought that it was $7 up front but then would be reimbursed, but I was still charged even using their validation.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. We couldn't get dinner in the restaurant on top as it was very busy that night. Does have a very cool vibe though. However, we did get in to have breakfast the next morning and if you're willing to overlook the slow service and mediocre food for the awesome views then do it. Since we couldn't get in for dinner the night before we went down to the lounge and...
Mixed experience. Pros: nice view, the rooftop bar/ restaurant was neat and had rotating seating. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, room was clean, all the basics. Cons: I don't think the decorations have been updated since the 60s, and the elevator feels like that too, whole place feels a bit rickety and... Competently maintained, but nothing above or beyond.
Cool building. Great location. A lot of love and money needs to go into this place to bring it back up to snuff. Very dingy. They have been replacing the bare minimum over the years. Bathroom had new floor, but chipped sink, old tub, 80s wall paper with grout splashed all over it. Water pressure was good, but the faucet didn't work properly. Water always came out the faucet and the shower head at the...
It's a mediocre hotel at best. The staff was absolutely awesome. Very friendly. Very helpful. The location is good. Just a short walk from anything you want to go see or do. Great views. But the rooms are dated. I'll bet 30 years ago this place was one of the nicest places to stay. But the hotel needs some serious updating. For example my room ac unit wouldn't cool the room below 75⁰ The bed was kind...
Decent hotel for the price. It's very old, but has good service and a great central location. Walking distance from places downtown. Small drive to canal side or uprising Superior St. Apostle Supper Club on the top floor rotates for 360° harbor views. Perfect for watching the full moon!
My husband and I often eat on top of the Radisson and we have always loved the food and the atmosphere. The service has always been excellent with a staff that is personable, friendly, and prompt. The food is a bit pricey but that is to be expected with quality. The only reason I rated it 4 stars is because of the mode of transportation up to the restaurant...the elevators are ridiculously slow taking...

we traveled to duluth for the weekend to snowboard at spirit mountain. loved that it was only a 5 min drive to spirit! also was only about a 10 minute drive to do just about anything in downtown duluth. so very convenient location. the staff was very friendly and welcoming from check in to check out. seems like the hotel had a recent renovation. they recently added a new elevator which isn’t working...
Very clean, well maintained motel. Convenient to activities. Very nice pool and rooms were nicely furnished. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely stay again. Thank you!
Very nice pretty clean room. Even had a jacuzzi in the room-my favorite part- as well as a separate shower and toilet. Only negative was that our heat didn't work and the AC fan wouldn't shut off so it was blowing cool air all night. But that Jacuzzi!??
Nice place friendly staff. Only stayed one night but room was clean and bed was comfy. Recommend staying here if you are in the area.
Clean room, up to date facilities, friendly staff, very clean pool, clean hot tub, quality sauna, discount for Spirit Mountain skiing.

I had a great stay here. I was only there for one night but I wish it was more. It was so close to so many cool places, very clean, and offered a delicious free breakfast in the morning and random free pizza the night I was there. Highly recommend!
I had an amazing stay here at the Fairfield Inn in Duluth! The hotel was very easy to find, and located in a quiet part of town. The hotel staff made sure my stay was great, and they were super friendly. The hotel does little things to make your stay special (my check in night was free pizza in the lobby night!). The hotel room itself is very quiet, clean and comfortable. The bed was one of the most...
Staff was friendly and helpful. When we checked in we got a card from the front desk worker with her name on it for when we have questions. Sure enough when the time came to ask for a local place to eat she can up with a home run. In the morning we had an awesome breakfast. Thanks again for a great place to spend the night.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was average size and it was nice and one. My 3 year old was able to enjoy the pool for along time without getting too cold so that was nice. The breakfast was great with great variety and the worker overseeing it did a good job with keeping it clean and stocked.
Everything was great. Excellent spirit from the front desk woman. One issue, the breakfast wasn't worth a second look and there was no space. Remove the lobby and couches and make a diner like continental breakfast with a new age Duluth theme.

Great value and location! I helped set our youth hockey team to stay here while in town for a hockey tournament. The sales staff made the effort incredibly easy. Marquis & MollyJo are the best. Cheapest hotel in the region and conveniently located right in the middle of Canal Park. Plenty of parking for guests, and conveniently connected to a brewery on the main floor. Front desk staff were very friendly & helpful throughout our 2 night stay at this property. We had the 2 bedroom family suite with a lakeview and it definitely did not disappoint as we had plenty of room as well as the opportunity to watch ships at every hour of the day or night. Located next to the lift bridge. Walking distance to all the main lake front attractions, 10 min walk or so to the aquarium. Rooms were clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was great, with lots of options. We appreciated the hotels efforts in keeping people healthy during their stay. The pool was a pleasant temperature, and the kids had a blast. We would return for a stay.
We came for our anniversary and got a suite with a bridge “view”. It was an amazing CLEAN room with a big jacuzzi bathtub, wrap around balcony, spacious shower, comfortable bed and cozy fireplace! We had a clear view of the Bentleyville lights from our balcony door and a view of both the lake and bridge. We got to see the lift bridge in action within 10 minutes of being there, so cool! Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Canal Park area. Rooms are surprisingly comfortable and loaded with little amenities that make a big difference. Very comfortable beds and super clean. Hot breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs with cheese, sausages, seasoned potatoes and sweet rolls. Standard issue but was above average grade in quality.
This is a great place to stay. Held a birthday party for my son at the Lift Bridge Lodge right after it first opened so everything was brand new. Nice room, with gorgeous views off the private balcony. Bathroom needs help and my husband got metal slivers in his foot from the carpet. It was reported to the front desk. The evening desk clerk was pretty snooty and told us she couldn't do anything about it, we would have to talk to management. We reported it to the manager in the morning and were assured that it would be reported to housekeeping...
I loved everything about this hotel. From the front desk to the top-notch service from the staff, we had a great stay. The view from our balcony was so pretty. Next time, I would like to stay on the lake side. It's within walking distance of everything that Canal Park has to offer. And it's super easy to jump on the freeway and head north along Lake Superior. We will 100% be back!
Visit Duluth every year in the Autumn. First time staying here. Had a first floor lakeside room which was very convenient to the Lakewalk, Canal Park, dining and shopping so no complaints there, but the rooms are in need of updating, TLC, and our shower dripped the entire time we were there. The hot tub and pools were outstanding! Breakfast was just okay but nothing special which is pretty much expected...
First time here. The building feels historic. Very nice and we'll maintained. The rooms are standard layout. I have a lake view room and really enjoyed the view. The location couldn't be better. Right on the canal. The staff was nice, check in was quick, both pools (one indoor and one outdoor) appeared clean and well maintained.
Wonderful place! Great views, walking distance to dining and shops, outstanding customer service! The only place my family and I will stay at when we come back to Duluth! ♥️

Nice hotel in the midst of canal park. Great location, lots of food options very close. Easy access to the lake walk. Pet friendly with a fee. Older construction so it's not as quiet as a newer building might be but well taken care of and nicely appointed, overall excellent place that we'll return to.
Stayed this past weekend and it was amazing. The gentleman at the front desk was super nice, sorry I did not get his name. However my daughter went down to breakfast and doesn't like bacon and the breakfast attendant, Duane, was kind enough to make her some sausage that she likes. That made her entire stay. Thank you
Such a great experience. The staff were so kind and accommodating. The man on staff cleaning the common areas did a great job. Our room was clean and the view was beautiful. The dining area also had a lovely view of the water.
First off this was a nice hotel, but we drew the short straw on rooms. We booked a lake view room and couldn't enjoy the view because we stared at the outside seating area and trash cans. Rooms have been updated and are clean and spacious. Beds were rough, in my opinion. But if you want a decent place to sleep at night, I can think of a lot worse. I am always trying to be grateful at the same time as being honest.
This motel is a nice budget option that’s in a great location. We only stayed here one night but it was perfect for just the night. The room was clean, spacious and has the basic features. The only thing missing was a coffee maker. There’s coffee by the office but none in the room. The room does have a mini refrigerator with a large separate freezer. Rooms are clean and crisp. Everytime. Staff is friendly no matter what time you check in. Don't F_^k the rooms up. They are kinda particular about that. If you gotta "eff" up someplace.... "eff" up your own spot. Rooms are crisp. Staff is friendly. Very conveniently located. I don't usually give out five stars. They earned it.
It was okay for a late night stop after a long day of traveling. The overnight desk person was nice and told us he'd be there all night if we needed anything. The room was okay, but I'm not a fan of linoleum flooring. It always feels sticky, and I leave my shoes on until I'm ready for bed. The beds were very old, so they were thin, and you could feel the springs. I was tired, so I did sleep but woke...
Non smoking room was clean and didn't smell like smoke. The night service desk guy was nice and knowledgeable. The room by the stairs could have a door that shuts more quietly.
The motel was very clean on the outside with a fresh coat of paint. The grounds were clean, our room smelled and looked very clean. The people who worked at the motel were so nice. My family had a great 4 night stay here, and we will do it again next year. Duluth has the friendliest people I've ever met!

We were so pleasantly pleased to enjoy our stay with our little dog in such a clean, very clean hotel! Staff was very friendly with encounters, and the overall feel was very easy, simple, nice, clean, and comfortable! THANK YOU! We would definitely return again.
The hotel was fairly decent. My spouse and I stayed for a few days. A bit pricey given how we made reservations less than a week in advance. All of the staff were pleasant to interact with, and the room was quiet. We brought our small dog, who'd bark whenever he heard another dog. The hot tub was a nice bonus. What kept me from giving this a five star rating were some cleanliness issues. There was...
Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Breakfast staff kept everything restocked. As seems to be the case at all hotels these days, I had to ask at the front desk for fresh towels for our second night in spite of the "leave towels on the floor" sign in the bathroom, so they need to clarify their housekeeping practices. Otherwise, no complaints.

I had a nice stay here. My room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The full kitchen was nice. The shower had good water pressure and got hot. Service was good and the room was clean. We stayed for one night. The staff were efficient and friendly in checking Us in and out of the hotel. The main reason I gave it three stars is because it was $200 for one night, which is quite expensive for a regular size hotel room. This might be because we stayed during duluth's tourist season, however I think prices could be much more reasonable, about half...
We booked on hotwire and got a decent price. Everything was clean and they had a decent breakfast spread. They had a nice patio area that had some lounge furniture and a couple grills. The room was beautiful, clean and well-stocked. The indoor pool and hot tub were great. The hot breakfast was substantial and delicious and the people who work in the kitchen were incredibly nice. Park Point was recommended by a family member and the price was reasonable, at least for Duluth in the Summer. Room was fine and beds were firm but comfortable. Breakfast was good, typical of most hotels offering a hot breakfast. Waffle machine, powdered scrambled eggs, etc. Harbor View room with balcony was worth the little extra cost. Rating would be higher except for the $12 fee the front desk wanted...
Wonderful stop right along Lake Superior. Decent free breakfast with herbed hash browns and sausage scrambled eggs - hydrated, but good. There's a fire pit along the lake & romantic packages!
Great staff. The rooms are always clean. The views are great from all rooms too. I have stayed here maby times and it has always been. Very pleasant! Make sure to check this place out of you are looking for a place stay in the harbor!
Phenomenal customer service, the staff was SO friendly and accommodating!! The Inn is walking distance to Canal Park--a very pleasant trip in the summertime. Excellent pricing, comfortable rooms...this will be our top choice for lodging on our next trip to Duluth!

Staff was wonderful. Especially Connor, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely awesome, best breakfast we've had.
The room we were given first had a cleanliness issue, but Justin at the front desk took it very seriously and quickly resolved the problem by moving us to another room that was sparkling clean. He really saved the situation and put us at ease. The rest of the staff were just as friendly and helpful, making for an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable. I took one star off for...
Really great experience so far! Greated by incredibly friendly staff at the front desk. Super helpful and informative. Breakfast in the morning, pool, jacuzzi, and fair gym. We added an additional night with no issues and the room is more than nice. Safe in the closet, big walk in shower and a big comfy bed to top off a long day. Very happy so far in our stay.
This hotel its pretty great! Vary friendly/helpful staff they truly want you to have a great experience! Super clean! When I was searching for hotel in this area it was really had to find a decent gym and a hot tub
Very seldom the front desk is covered. Of all the times I entered or left the building on our two day stay, there was only two times where the desk was covered. When I checked in, I waited for quite a few minutes until I finally called the hotel. Then someone came to answer the phone. They said they they were in a front desk meeting. Apparently tky coverage of the desk was not on the agenda. The room...
The room was very clean and a nice size. We had a king suite which included a sofa, arm chair, coffee table, desk and chair, flat screen TV, microwave, single cup coffee maker, and mini fridge. The toiletries provided were Dove brand. The location is a short drive to all the sights, without being in the bustling downtown area. The breakfast was actually great, they had a hot buffet and warm baked goods...

Excellent hotel if you in town to go up on the mountain to play skiing or tubing. Was on the third floor (321) with windows facing the rail and it got a little noisy when the trains went past. Room is spacious with lots of light. Pros: Room has lots of light, can see the trains go by if you don’t mind the noise, attentive staff, good breakfast, laundry facility on the third floor, might get a little...
Here for work. I spent a week and a half here. In that week and half, I never had my room cleaned or fresh bedding. I had to call and finally request after 9 days. The front desk staff was quick to blame it on other shifts. Customer service is just poor. The rooms are ok, not really worth what they charge. You're paying more for location than room style. Breakfast is good, and the guy who prepares...
The hotel had comfortable beds and the rooms were clean. The breakfast in the morning was always hot and ready all week but pretty mediocre quality. Pool and hot tub were not working during my stay. The hotel has a good location if you are doing work outside of Duluth and do not want to drive all the way into the city each evening.
This was a great place to stay for a reasonable price when we went to the Duluth Airshow. Other prices (in Duluth!) were twice the price. It's not the Waldorf, but it's a pretty decent place with stuff nearby. We had a large clean room, a comfortable bed and a light breakfast. We were only there for one night so we didn't want to pay twice or three times as much for trendy luxury. Even if we had stayed...
Wonderful hotel, quiet honestly the most comfortable beds in a hotel that I have ever had. The staff is so nice and accommodating.
Staff was friendly, very helpful. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety. This is a 5-10 minute drive from any major attraction in Duluth at a price much better than places downtown or the canal.
