I had dinner with friends and my favorite aspect was the ambiance. The Christmas decorations and live piano music were fantastic. All menu items sounded good but due to dietary needs for healthy eating, I chose the special red grouper. I 😘 ved the spinach layered over the unique rice mixture with baby field peas. The tomato sauce was good but a little overpowering for my taste. Luckily it was in...
Kudos and special thanks to Amina and Anna at the front desk for being so hospitable and friendly, really felt welcome here. Housekeeping did a great job although there were some difference in the bath mat and the body wash gel that I received on day 3 were different from day 1 and 2, was also kinda disappointed the room did include a dental and shaving kit. The room heater was kinda tricky too as...
Nice hotel beautiful grounds. Welcoming staff and southern manners and service. Well appointed room /suite and with nice insight bar and restaurant. Only complaint would be the soaps in my room were wretched smelling of lilac. On my last day without asking another neutral soap set was in the room. Wish I had known of that options a few days earlier. Put them Both in the room. Or ditch the lilac.
I’m blown away by the hospitality at this unique hotel. Everyone from the concierge, to the people running check in, to the wonderful restaurant team and beyond is so incredibly hard working and warm hearted. Some notable things: The check in process literally took 45 seconds. The hotel has so much character and history. Everything is sparkling clean. There’s plenty of parking. The pool and restaurant...
Tasted the special fillet mignon and the milk chocolate mousse bomb. Everything was amazingly delicious. The details of the mousse like the crunchy chocolate balls on the side were insane.
As a die hard UNC fan, it is very difficult to rate this place highly, but it is pretty great. I especially like to come for Triangle Resturant Week (which happens twice a year) to do their special menu. Everything on that menu is wonderful, and the service is amazing. They also have a fantastic brunch menu, and excellent desserts. It is truly one of the best restaurants in the Triangle.

I have nothing but praise for this Marriott Property! I showed up after being booked by the marriott reservation hotline at the overbooked delta across the highway. That being said, I was rebooked here and that was a blessing in disguise! Staff was VERY welcoming and friendly. I believe her name was Christine, she was very attentive and helpful to a band that had arrived tired and half asleep to the...
The rooms need deep cleaning and upgrades. There were holes in the wall. Bathroom back of door and back splash need CLEANED! Be aware that they are charging $10 p/d to park your car. They didn't even ask for make or model, just making an extra buck with no parking lot security. The front desk person was rude when we questioned it. Elevator had a rancid smell to it. Overall quality is not much for the...
Great atmosphere! Stayed there for business week, and solely ate at newtons lounge. Bar staff was really nice greeting me personally every time I ate. Also surprised how involved restaurant manager was. He was always available if I had any minor issues. I think his name was Paul. He had everything running smoothly. Room was nice and front desk helpful. Overall clean hotel.
This was a very nice hotel - all of the people working there were friendly and helpful. Our family went for a work trip and my children were able to enjoy the pool all day, all to themselves. The bar/restaurant area in the lobby is modern and vibrant, the convenience area near the front desk is well stocked with snacks and drinks for purchase. My only complaint (and note for families) - the bathroom...
location and the friendly staff exceptional service. the jacuzzi was amazingly clean and relaxing. The hotel is a 10 Plus Plus The only location I’d recommend to friends family and coworkers.
I loved the atmosphere. It's kind of an old hotel but still up to date. I enjoyed the in house pool and jacuzzi. I think we might visit again but perhaps another branch of Marriott. For breakfast, the lady on duty seemed to be rushing me, she kind of unfriendly. 🤫

This review is primarily for the staff. They were excellent. I came for an event associated with my HS reunion. I rolled in on a bike and asked about secure bike parking. The super helpful staff allowed me to "coat" check my bicycle. Super awesome, especially in a world where so many people are hostile towards cyclists. The big conference room was nice enough... I'm not familiar enough with these...
This is a shout out to Corey at JB Duke guest services. He heard the defeat in my voice as I explained I have been trying to get email confirmations on four? five? separate attempts (technology, y'all) and tried a different way to get my email confirmations. It worked. He was responsive and friendly. He also went above and beyond to reassure me of my reservation. Corey is a true asset; if it weren...
While the room itself was nice, there was still food left outside our room from the previous people. Good for easy duke access!
Great service and personnel! Everyone is really friendly, helpful and outgoing! The hotel is really big with many different meeting and conference rooms. The food is delicious and they have a great variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Also the staff is really aware of the importance of gluten free diet (especially in the case of health issues like celiac disease) and everything is...
Nice place but curiously lacking some basic amenities for a four star hotel. Has a refrigerator, but no microwave. No stockpile of plasticware or anything like that, just the mini fridge (empty) and a coffee maker and the usual ice bucket with a couple glasses and some coffee stirrers. I'm told the fitness room was decent. The restaurant sent food up to the room at our request, which was nice, but...
The hotel is nice and new. Comfortable bed, big HD TV and great water pressure--thats what I think matters most. There are a few things that keep it from being 5 stars: lower quality towels, bedding and furniture. It feels a bit like a brand new holiday inn in some ways. Location is fantastic and lobby area is cool. Our room was located on the first floor which is a bit confusing to navigate but fine...

I had accidently booked the Marriott hotel in Durham USA, the staff in Durham UK were so helpful and kind. A huge thank you to Robert and Alice. They called the USA for us, up graded our room and gave us tickets to the Lumiere event. I will certainly not use Booking.com EVER again. But I certainly will book a Marriott hotel in the future.
amazing hotel with great staff. rooms and clean and the beds are amazing. You must checkout the lounge in the lobby. They offer light snacks and happy hour. The host in the lounge is fantastic. Amazing customer service and very knowledgable about Durham and very approachable.
Really nice hotel. My room was very clean and comfortable. The M Lounge was a nice perk. The gym was well equipped. Excellent location close to numerous bars and restaurants.
We had a great stay recently at this hotel. Very modern, newly furbished rooms and fantastic location in downtown Durham. What took the cake was that we forgot a laptop in the room so the General Manager called us asap and took a lot of trouble to ship it to us safely. This hotel really went the extra mile to ensure our laptop made it's way back asap to us in one piece.
Such a great overnight stay! I was giving a talk in Butner and this was the nicest closest hotel. I love they have added a local flare to the newly renovated rooms. The hotel is in a great location, easy access to walking to dining options downtown.
Don’t let the exterior fool you - this Marriott is nice! So the building has definitely seen some better days and is dated but the entire interior has been renovated. The reception hall is open and welcoming with the lounge access and breakfast bar. The rooms are updated, with comfortable beds, large screen TVs and a nice bathroom. Downtown Durham does not have a lot of y’all building so chances...

Absolutely the best experience ! The young lady working at the front desk on 12/15/22 at around 3am was VERY helpful Rooms are clean and hotel is very quiet
Overall great experience. You can see a bit of age in the edges and pieces but nothing that affects the stay. Loved the kitchenette. Super convenient. Great location walkable to a variety of restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again.
We were very pleased with the quality of this hotel. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a full kitchen. Breakfast was good, easy parking, nice fitness center. Nice location by Brightleaf square.
Visited here for 2 days. Great staff on all shifts , friendly and welcoming environment. Hotel was super clean . Room was spacious and comfortable. First night was a bit loud outside from my room. Staff offered to change my room, which was extreemly courteous . I ended up not changing. The media room is nice, free breakfast, close enough to downtown if you're planning a night out. I've already...
Our visit was in February but I am just now getting to review. Our stay was amazing! My husband and I stayed here about 4 years ago and had a great experience so we decided to come back with our toddler in their one bedroom suite. We had everything we needed and plenty of space! Every single one of the staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special but Tawanda really stood...
Love this place! My husband and I have been coming here for years now since he was injured in the line of duty and has required several surgies at Duke University Hospital. We travel here regularly from Chesapeake, Virginia and look forward to staying here every time. Very updated rooms and facilities. Everything was clean and well maintained. Quick response from housekeeping when we needed extra towels, etc. Fantastic location with lots to do nearby, good restaurant options, etc.
I stayed at this hotel for two nights and these people are OFF THE CHARTS! Jessica must have tripped and fell from heaven because.. she’s just.. there’s no words. My heart is full and her kindness is beyond what one would expect from the world today. Pam is so down to earth, and she makes so much sense. Getting to know her was such a joy. And Maria!!! Listen.. that is one hospitable woman. We have...
Everyone was really nice! My husband and I have stayed at several hotels in this area and they all been just as nice but not as expensive. That’s why I gave a four star.
have not stayed yet however I called to make a reservation this morning and Tegris was absolutely great at helping me with my requests! I was being a little overly picky about my 2 night stay for an upcoming wedding so Thank You Tergris! We will return to this location! It was perfect for a family wedding in the area, we had a great dinner next door at Ruth Chris after the wedding....fantastic idea...
We just had a three night stay during a family wedding in Durham. Staff was so very helpful and gracious. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The breakfast were delicious! Overall one of the nicest hotels in which we have stayed.

Check in was quick. I was only in here for one night so my review is for my brief stay, but I didn’t even realize there was a kitchen, which was a nice bonus. It was quiet in the room. The bathroom was decent, nothing special. But the hotel breakfast was good to me, I didn’t get to try a lot but the coffee and biscuits were good!
This place is always very clean and the staff is always very kind and attentive. Breakfast is always very well done. And Ruby is very caring and helpful toward the guests. I’ve stayed here many times and have always had a great experience.
I love this location. The rooms are very spacious. They have a stove, refrigerator, microwave, eating table, utensils. There is a couch and a work desk. There was a basketball court, fire pit and pool on site. Breakfast is served in the mornings until 10am on weekends. It is a pet friendly hotel. Very comfortable pillows and comforter. If they had a Jacuzzi it would be perfect! Loved this hotel.
Comfy bed no dishes or cups or silverware pita and pans in room had to get them from front desk who had to go locate some took 20mim
Excellent staff, extremely friendly, very clean, pretty hotel & spacious. Only wish we had a King bed instead of a Queen. Breakfast was very good, could use a little more variety. Great place to stay, would definitely return.
I really enjoyed the unit. It was unlike any "normal" hotel and room. The hotel looked like high end condos. We had a 2 room and 2 full baths unit with a full kitchen. We also had a wood burning fireplace. Wow! It was amazing. I really enjoyed the privacy because we had the kids with us. The pool is outside and I didn't see a gym. Just a walk away and across the street was a 'Chick Fil'a and just...

The room was fine, bed was comfortable. No microwaves in the room so if you need to heat up food you have to do it in the lobby. The reason this hotel bothered me was I called in advance to ask about anything additional for having a pet staying there and they told me it was the same as the normal room, then when we were checking in they added on 75$ to the room price for a pet fee. I though this was...
I'm not sure why a few days ago there was a review about homeless people and blood on the floor but our stay was mostly perfect. The room was very clean, the lobby was very well done and welcoming. The customer service from Kenny G. couldn't be beat, he was fast, efficient, kind, and caring, and was seemingly there for our 3 day stay. That man definitely deserves a raise. The bed was incredibly comfortable...
Really nice rooms. With all due respect front desk person front desk guy was not personable at all. Maybe he was having a bad day. Maintenance guy was extremely friendly. Coffee maker in room was broken. None of the ice machines on the 2nd floor worked. During my stay never saw the food area open. Just the self serve coffee was available. My room was roomy, clean and comfortable. Got a great night...
The location in Apex was fine. Not near anything notable, but it served its purpose as a place to stay near Durham. The staff was extremely friendly. It was your standard issue Courtyard. If you've stayed in any of them, you've stayed in this one.
Great place to stay. I would definitely recommend. They have an awesome gym. The restaurant was OK. Chick-fil-A is 1 block see way.
A nice hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a gym and an outside pool. They are close to several restaurants and it seems a safe hotel. They have shuttles and a restaurant with a bar and 3-4 great places to sit and eat. There is a fireplace in the meeting area. All in all a good Hotel and I will come again.

Perfectly located off main-road. Minutes away from points of interest. Was there for business at Duke and was only 12 minutes away. There's a Red Lobster across the parking lot. There was some remodeling on the side part of the hotel, but did not interfere with much other than the parking lot. Great lighting makes it easy to navigate the parking lot while we'll lit. I would recommend that they add...
Booked this place specifically for the pool to entertain the littles. Called ahead and the man I spoke to on the phone said the pool was open. When we arrived the woman at the front desk said the pool was actually in repair and closed…so was the weight room… So nothing to entertain 3 small children… The woman at the front desk, Jasmin, was amazing and kind, courteous, and professional. First time staying here. Check in was easy no surprise. Friendly staff both evening and morning. Nice variety for breakfast. Easy location to access I40. We travel with our small dog and there were no issues. When back in the area looking for a place to stay this will be our choice.
The rooms here were very nice and clean, up to date and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and the tub/shower was nice for a quick wash or a good soak. Compared to other hotels in the local area, this is an exceptional value. The breakfast was good, with hot eggs and sausage; the waffle iron was a big hit, and there were muffins, yogurt, cereals and milk available. The indoor...
We arrived around 7pm and the front desk manager was extremely nice and helpful getting us checked in and directing us to our room. The room itself was one of, if not the, nicest la quinta I’ve ever been to! Rooms were clean and had plenty of towels and pillows, a nice tv, and a mini fridge/microwave/coffee maker set up. I have to say that they welcome I received by front desk was exceptional. The woman had all my notes from my booking and accommodated each and every one. We spent the whole day wearing them out in the pool, and that lovely courtyard was exactly what I needed to be able to relax. I honestly could not recommend it enough to anyone and we will be back again next year for certain.
Very clean, hotel is kept up & staff was amazing. Room was very clean. The breakfast was great. Great weekend in Durham. Great location as well.
The front desk guy pocketed my deposit money. The hotel was nice very clean accommodations and great breakfast. Room refrigerator don't get cold at all after a change .
Water system was recently “upgraded”. It now has very low water flow. I end up waisting more water because it takes so long to rinse. Also water is barely lukewarm set all the way to hot. They took away the lotion. It seems Marriott is doing this at other locations too. Too bad. I really like the Spring Hill room layout. I’m a Marriott Gold Elite, was Platinum - moving toward IHG. Also no carpet pad...
I was SO SURPRISED by the place! First, they offered a great rate for AAA members. Free support shuttle is always a bonus. They let me check in super early because they had space available (and I had only slept 3.5 hrs the night before, so I wanted to kiss them for this). I relaxed in the hot tub before I slept and was NOT disappointed. The rooms are lovely. Spacious, decorated in pleasing colors,...
Staff here is amazing! They are all so friendly and personable. The rooms are very clean and nice. It's not the standard cookie cutter room and it's nice to see something different. The location is very convenient although there are no restaurants in the same parking lot, but the breakfast was actually really good Give this place a shot!

I just spent 15 days at this location. Love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ the front desk staff. The crew was very friendly and super helpful. I was in transition from Northern Virginia to Chapel Hill. And when initially making my reservation online the staff helped me make sure I had a 1st floor room due to my spinal arthritis. Enjoyed my stay immensely
Name is Erwin Mills. Have been staying here quite a while Never had a issue. Management is the best. Always willing to assist the needs of their quests. Staff are very polite. Rooms are clean and very well attended. I would recommend if you are looking for a quality hotel at a reasonable price to check it out.
Always stay here and our experience is wonderful. Nikki and Danyelle are amazing to talk to and have helped us every time. The sign is hard to see from the road but the rooms are a nice size, staff is very helpful and friendly, always cleaning🥰🥰🥰! No problem getting help with anything
Room was a little bit dirty. I had to clean the floors when I got there. Smelled a little funny too. But was still a nice stay for the money. At just under 70 bucks you get a nice room with a hot shower. Reclining chair and a tv. Good bang for the buck.
Room was actually pretty clean compared to another Extended Stay America very close by. Big room, nice little kitchen area. Only two issues, A/C does not put out very cold air. And bathtub shower has a hole in it. Other than that pretty good!
the room was cozy and had everything one would need for an extended stay. stove, fridge, microwave, table. the sleeping area was small, dressing area and bathroom were adequate. the mattress wasn't very comfortable but the room rate was very reasonable so I felt the amenities were more than sufficient. i do want to advise that if you stay here just be aware of your safety and be prepared for there...
Rooms are nice for the price. The parking lot is well lite at night. But the hallways and grounds don't get cleaned often enough. Sometimes trash stays in the same spots for a week before it gets picked up. And the weekend crowd is a very loud. Customer service has been excellent and should be a 5 star for them. But the overall, place needs more detailed cleaning inside and out.
Assistant general manager checked us in - outstanding attitude and cusfomer service. Gave us a handicapped room on first floor - very spacious. This building was recently renovated - much nicer than older extended stay buildings. One star off for several minor maintenance /cleanliness issues.
