It is an excellent value for the incredible location in the heart of Jacksonville. We stay here several times a year while traveling I-95. It is very close to I-95. At the East side of the freeway is a large shopping area with numerous casual dining spots. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. We have stayed at other Aloft locations and this one was just as nice. If you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing a fan or using a noise machine as you may sometimes hear people in the hallway. I always travel with a fan or noice machine since I am a very light sleeper so this is usually not a problem for me.

Five stars! Enjoyed my stay thoroughly. My room was very spacious, and the beds we're extremely comfortable. The breakfast,was spectacular, as far as hotel standards go. There's almost every restaurant you can imagine steps from the hotel, from Chipotle, to Wendy's, to longhorn steakhouse. And it's right next to the interstate highway. The rooms and entire hotel was clean. The breakfast was the worst I have had and I stay in a hotel 6 times a month. The eggs were like powder eggs with horrible taste and Canadian bacon was fake ham that you couldn't cut with a fork. I have stayed at this hotel several times. Any time I am in Jacksonville this is where I prefer to stay. For one thing, it is a good price. It is also pretty quiet. I stayed at this hotel for 3 1/2 months on a job really big and spacious rooms, has a full kitchen stove and oven. The only con is its in a kinda sketchy area however there is a JAX sheriff's precinct across the street. Great hotel other than that.

The place was kind of hoodish looking on the outside, but that is most places in Jacksonville. The interior was fine and clean. The shower was clean and hot water worked well. It was safe there, not much around though.

Wonderful location....end of the road Diamond in the rough. I would never stay anywhere where I did not feel unsafe. The police station was directly across the street literally. Location is convenient to highway and interstate, but quiet. I've stayed here several times when I'm in town for work. The rooms are consistent, always clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast items vary, but I appreciate that there is always some type of breakfast meat and egg, not just cold carbs.

Wonderful stay! Clean, up-to-date atmosphere, spectacular pool and jacuzzi. Our suite was very spacious and usable. The free breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, complete with fresh, hot cinnamon rolls. Staff was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

My dog and I were here for 3 months. From day 1 they treated us like family. The outside of the building has an old Howard Johnson look, but the inside was beautiful and clean. Nice hotel, friendly staff. They had run out of breakfast items (eggs) in the beginning of the week (3 days) from a busy weekend, so that was unfortunate. The front door was broken for most of the week as well. Rooms are nice and appear to be cleaned thoroughly. I'll stay here again, but I won't count on breakfast.

Each time I visit The Hampton Inn - Downtown my stay is always a pleasure. The facility is always clean & I have no issues at all. Will definitely book here again. Yes it is an older hotel but after staying at the garden Inn Downtown this was so much better. Staff was friendly and helpful with my requests. I did not see homeless people during my stay and never felt uncomfortable. I will stay here again when I am in town. I enjoyed the local southern grill which gives a discount to guests.

Very clean room and comfortable bed. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room not working efficiently, and they immediately moved us. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, especially Tina.
