We had an amazing 5 day stay at this resort! The pools are amazing! You can purchase a float ring from the store at the pool for $30. Its really fun to float in the lazy river. The property has amazing restaurants. We tried all of them and they were all good. The terrace has live Hawaiian music! They also rent bicycles for free. The resort also has a lot of activities so do check them out and book...
It's a stunning place that feels like paradise. In many ways it's sad to see a once natural area turned into something so developed and man made but if you can get past that, it's spectacular. The pool area is massive and the open air lobby areas are beautiful. I'm not sure it's worth staying here for an entire visit for most people because at the price, most people will feel like they need to stay...
This hotel is great. It's a place to getaway from it all. Our room was upgraded to an Ocean view King, renovated. The grounds are beautiful.
Pool - go there super early if you want a chair.
Beach - go there early if you want a chair.
Food - Overall, very good but you will pay the price. I suggest you walk over to the mall to explore other cheaper grinds.
I've been CORRECTED on Parking - SELF PARKING...
We really loved our stay at the GHK and will absolutely stay again. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to book club access! It was well worth it. All the staff at the club and front desk were so accommodating. We did have one issue with concierge, but I do feel like management did all that they could to make amends. We will absolutely stay here again.
I give 5 stars to Arlyn who checked us in! She was absolutely amazing and started us off perfect! She’s the sweetest human being, someone give her a raise!
Overall the hotel was beautiful and relaxing. The parrot mascots were just a joy and the pools are amazing! The beach is a little disappointing in the summer (through NO fault of the resort) just due to the time of year making it hazardous (just...
pool was perfecr, huge, open 24/7, gym was great, location next to walk on the beach is great, sound of waves falling asleep.

Castle Kiahuna Plantation & The Beach Bungalows
Koloa, 2253-B Polpu Road 🧭 Map
We love the Kiahuna Plantation! The traditional Hawaiian vibe is amazing and it's located on the best beach in Poipu. Goreous grounds abd beautiful sunsets from the great lawn!
While the beach is quite accessible from the hotel room, the section of the beach is bare: It doesn't have any shaded area. I don't know about you but this is a big deal for me. The umbrella the hotel provides can barely cover one person. The resort next door does provide canopies recliners I wish we could use.
The hotel advertises for a fresh water pool on-site. This is true but a bit misleading...
Great value. We originally booked via Airbnb, but our host sold their unit to the resort before we arrived. Not a big deal, the resort honored the price that we had agreed to. This place is definitely dated, (no AC, but ceiling fans work well). The beach access is phenomenal - after trying different beaches on the island, I love this one the most. Perfect waves for our teens to enjoy. The pool...
It's a good location and hotel, but be careful with your reservations. We ordered an ocean view and ended up in a garden view place, and nothing we could do about it. The rooms are nice and clean, though there isn't service unless you're here for more than 10 days in terms of room cleaning. The bathrooms are a little "open air" concept, and closed off by blinds, but not too bad. Rooms are tastefully...
Location is great cleaning fees seemed very high, but property is nicely maintained and very convenient to areas we wanted to travel on Kauai.
8 days in paradise. The resort was beautiful and quiet. Close enough to the beach and shopping centers that we did really have to leave Poipu. Definitely will be returning to Kiahunna again.

Sheraton Kauai Resort
Koloa, 2440 Hoonani Road 🧭 Map
Spent three nights here. Nice hotel with a great location on the beach. The rooms were nice. Very nice beach but the surf was a little rough but fun. Plenty of chairs around the pool with flags to raise when you wanted service. The service was quick when they saw the flag.
Good location and friendly staffs.
Some of the amenities have good quality.
The room’s ac was very loud. I felt like staying inside a plane.
Check in was slow and had only 1 staff working.
Turndown service never happen.
Overall the room does not feel like a premium brand. It feels like other lower tier Marriott brands.
This is an honest review from somebody who has been to many of the islands and resorts across the world. I do not usually leave reviews but I felt one was needed here as many are misleading. Dates of stay 8/18-8/27/2023 in room 1234- Deluxe beach front room.
Pro’s:
Location. The southern area of Kauai is very nice. Short drive to many locations on island including tour locations.
Amenities. It is...
Stayed on the ocean side and the room looks over the ocean like a postcard. Room maintenance was slow on the first day. I was out most of the day and by 3 pm it still was not done. My room key did not function when I returned and a battery had to be replaced in the door. Minor irritations, but for a 4 star hotel seems lacking. The staff are friendly and kind.
My room was attended to very quickly after...
Aloha, fellow traveler! I recently stayed at the Sheraton Kauai Resort and it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the decor was a bit dated. The location on the water was simply stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean. But what really made the experience memorable was the quality of service - the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure that...
Nice room, great view. Check-in staff very friendly and helpful. Room cleaning and evening turndown of bed great and beautiful greeting message on bed on arrival.

We spent a week here and absolutely loved it. The staff put an already perfect property over the top. So friendly and accommodating. The rooms are great for 2 couples. And the grounds are like walking through paradise.
Loved our stay here. They have fun activities going on through out the day. Some we participated in were ukulele lesson, fried rice cooking demonstration, corn hole tournament, pool refresher, shave ice, yoga, keiki painting, and pool side beach party. It is a beautiful property. Would love to come back again.
Great resort. Super close to tons of restaurants, Waimea canyon and the airport. Rooms are very nice. Not luxury. But very nice. Staff was super friendly and quick to respond. Pool was nice although crowded. The pool bar was great for lunch and drinks with great staff. In the late afternoon they have live entertainment. The beach was walking distance and the water amazing. Again very crowded but still...
Home away from home. It's our favorite vacation spot. All rooms are 2 bedroom with full kitchens and washer dryers. We prefer the island view, a little more affordable but never a disappointment. We've spent the extra points on ocean view, but that's no guarantee of a great view. It can be overlooking the parking lot next door. Great activities and pools for the family.
The property is so pretty and the location offers the best beach of the Island. Poipu Beach is incredible beautiful and perfect for both sunrises and sunsets. The presence of sea turtles and seals are definitely a bonus. I'm verry happy that volunteers are protecting the animals on the beach against overenthusiastic tourists. The beach gets crowded during the day but there is enough space at the...
I loved everything but the dam chickens!
MARRIOTT need to get some dogs to run them off or a gun. Every thing else is over the top. Also thanks for keeping the pools warm in the winter! 5 stars with out the chickens!

Great location. Big rooms with a full sized washing machine and tumble dryer inside the room - this was a huge bonus for us!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the Labor Day week. The hotel was pleasantly quiet, and securing parking was a breeze thanks to the provided parking pass. We consistently found parking right in front of our building. The family lagoon pool was delightfully empty, and even the main pool had very few visitors. Finding available loungers was never an issue. The housekeeping and front desk staff...
Absolutely beautiful hotel!! We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn’t have been more pleased. Our room was large, spacious with a kitchen stocked with all necessary cooking supplies, a large beautiful bathroom, and a large balcony with an oversized sliding door that allowed the outdoors inside. We were within very close walking distance of 2/3 pools, none of which ever felt overly crowded or rowdy...
We haven't even concluded our stay and I already am giving Koloa Landing five stars. Truly an incredible experience. The staff are welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The cleaning crew deserves huge props- on the days we took our "do not disturb" sign off the door, they freshen up our room perfectly and I saw various members of the cleaning staff around grounds meticulously cleaning hallways, rooms...
Koloa Landing Resort has great staff, excellent pools and very nice rooms. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the grill, the sunsets and the turtles in the bay. What a great location in Kauai.
Oh and the kids activities were excellent! The welcome gift and scavenger hunt was awesome!
This was a really cool resort for families and couples alike. The main pool really is awesome, but there are also some other pools that are quieter if that's what you're looking for. The room was really nice and clean, and it felt very new and luxurious. The location is near some great beaches, shops, and restaurants. It was a great stay!

Nice accommodations, but no air conditioning; extra required charge for housekeeping. Few inexpensive restaurants in area. Buy food to cook in provided kitchens before coming to resort area.
We loved, quiet, beautiful grounds, close to a beautiful beach. The unit was not air conditioned but with all the windows that could open and the fans we we were comfortable. We got stuck in the huge record rainstorm in Princeville, and the staff at the Outrigger were great about getting us into a unit created by a cancellation. Aston At Poipu Kai
Koloa, 1465 Pe’e Road, Koloa 🧭 Map
Overall, I prefer staying at Outriggers of the same type of condo categories. Aston rooms are somewhat consistent, and aged. I prefer some of their properties over others. In all, value wise, I'd go for something a little better. Day of checkout, they really need you to get out. Just saying.
The room that we rented was a single bedroom with a king bed. Bathroom is large with double sinks and a walk in shower. Living room has a love seat sofa, couple of comfy end chairs with a large foot rest. Dining room has a square table with 4 comfy chairs. Kitchen has full refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, toaster, pots and pans. Dishes and silverware including knives. Washer...
Accommodations were great. Folks working were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to good snorkling and good food. The main pool was very nice.
We struggled with the pool key at first and had to get a new one. Its a bit confusing to walk around the resort because all the paths are twisty.
We could hear the road from our room which other people did complain about, but it wasn’t a big deal...
We stayed here before and likely gave it 5 star. It's a little bit 9f a gamble if which unit you will get. First I was always signed up as a A list member but they had no record of that anymore. I stayed here the last three years a A-list member. Members get some perks such as gift and often upgraded unit. Our condo was very nice this year but I asked if I could be moved. Haven't stayed there yet but the grounds were well maintained and we are excited to stay here in the future!

We stayed here in May. Beautiful grounds, great views, short walk to an amazing beach. Good service (they'll even hand you an umbrella) but the place shuts down early. Nespresso machine in the room. We stayed 8 nights at Koa Ke for our honeymoon and had the best experience! It is so low key and doesn’t have the busy and over crowded resort feel at all. It’s very quiet and relaxing. We hardly has any interactions with others at all. The room was clean (and I’m very particular about cleanliness,) it was a little dated, but still very nice. We had a partial ocean view, and it was just that. It looked...
I had a fantastic time here, it's easy to walk to the beaches on either side and the view down the beach is especially great at sunset. The restaurant here was delicious and the service was outstanding. There was an espresso pod machine in our room so you can save the coffee you buy in Kauai to enjoy back home.
There is no safe access to Poipu beach despite the hotel advertising same. It's a precarious sandbag staircase into rocks and crashing waves. The restaurant has no gluten free options, the towels we received from housekeeping had holes in them on 3/7 days, there are insufficient chaise lounges at the pool, and the pool is smallish, 4 feet deep, and too hot to be refreshing (88 degrees). That said...

Marjorie's Kauai Inn
Koloa, 3307-D Hailima rd. 🧭 Map
This place is awesome. We stayed in the sunset room which is large in itself and comes with a private patio including hot tub. The B&B is located all by itself and is the perfect place to wind down and get away from the hustle and bustle. At the same time, it's only a short drive to great restaurants and the beach. Alexis & Mike were super accommodating and breakfast was a spectacle every day.
I am delighted to review Marjorie's Kauai Inn owned by Alexis and Mike from Chicago (my husband's hometown)! Lovely people who obviously love what they do. It shows every day. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Saltwater pool is fantastic, plus they have a little tea house to sit in near the pool. The food, the food! This is truly the definition of a real bed and breakfast. Alexis makes everything...
We had the most amazing stay at Marjorie's for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Tradewinds and had a large lanai with beautiful, sprawling jungle views, which made for a great sunset watch. Jim made delicious diverse breakfasts each morning and was so friendly and inviting. They have everything you need for a beach day (chairs, coolers, snacks) which made it super easy. Would absolutely stay here again
No exaggeration when I say, the best place we’ve ever stayed on a vacation. We were originally planning on staying only 2 nights and then going to a resort, but Alexis convinced us to do the whole stay here and thank goodness she did. The views are breathtaking, the food is amazing, and the bed was probably cozier than my own at home. There’s nothing like coming back after a long day out and relaxing...
This place is incredible! The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Alexis and Mike were so amazing and super accommodating. If you are looking for a place that is a true getaway this is the spot for you. The breakfast was so tasty, the salt water pool facing the gardens was so beautiful and Alexis/Mike were so helpful in things to do on the island! We will definitely be back:)
We stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier. The room was great with an amazing view of the valley. We weren't in the room a lot during this portion of our vacation but Marjorie's was in a great location to get to all of our outdoor excursions. We would absolutely recommend this place and stay here again if we make it back to Kauai.

Property was lovely. Kitchen was well equiped. Cosy. Clean. Quiet and secluded. Walkable to the beach. Free laundry. Huge TV
We had a great stay at the Royal Palm. Unit was fully equipped with everything you can think of, very clean and working properly. Manager was very responsive and very helpful. Very short walk to the beach , on the sunny side of the island. I would definitely stay there again!
Hideaway Cove is the perfect place to stay in the heart of Poipu. A very beautiful place to call home for a few days and it’s made even better by the hospitality from Herb. Very comfortable with lots of extras. If this is available to rent, which I doubt is very often, go ahead and book it!
We enjoyed our stay here, it was like staying at a friend's house. Very spacious, very clean, and well cared for. The location was ideal - we rented a Jeep but walked to almost everywhere in the Poipu Beach area. It was our first time in Kauai and the owners were very helpful in identifying local things to do and experience, and even helping to set some up via their contacts.
Awesome location, getting to the beach is so quick and easy! The rooms are always in great condition and the neighborhood is nice and quiet, it’s the perfect getaway spot ☺️

Beautiful spot, and a great 2br garden condo. The compound is very quiet, few use the pool. If you're looking for a bit more action, the resort 'next door' has a nice beach bar. A longer walk east is Poipu Beach, or to the west is a outdoor mall with restaurants and beachwear and such.
Parrish is doing an excellent job managing
Poipu Kapili. We’ve stayed here for decades (should have bought a condo here!). March of 2023 I was diagnosed with covid on day we were scheduled to fly home. Couldn’t fly for five days. What a beautiful setting. Such a family oriented facility. Awesome pool. Just perfect for kids. Easy and beautiful walk to the beach. The deck is stunning and comfortable, you could live out there. Gorgeous kitchen, and bedrooms. Such nice bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing missing is an ocean view. (That’s why the four star)
The villas at Poipu Kai were so wonderful! The villa was clean, had everything we needed, the pool/hot tub were amazing, and it was only a short walk or drive to the beach. There were a ton of amazing things to do in the area. Our group had a blast.
The unit and area of Poipu were great. We ran into a few mechanical issues and while the maintenance support tried their best, it absolutely fell short of our expectations. Wow, where else would you want to stay than here! Two pools, spas and walk to the beach. Easy parking. Easy driving in and out. Spacious condos that are very private. Way better deal that 3 hotel rooms and no surprise fees, a 3-bedroom condo here is the way to go.
Quiet and nice, fun families usually here but at this time pretty quiet as the Gov makes travel very difficult.

We spent 12 days at this rental property and it had everything we could possibly desire (and more). One feature we really liked was the combination lock to enter - 1 less key to keep track of. Waikomo Stream Villas Unit WS503
Koloa, 2721 Poipu Road, Lihue-Koloa Forest Reserve 🧭 Map
Visited a family member who stayed there. Very expensive for what you get. It was a small one bedroom apartment with no real outlook except for a manufactured stream and garden out the back. Otherwise you're straight into everyone else's place. It was clean and had a modern kitchen. Apart from that I can only say that I wouldn't have wanted to stay there.
Can't beat the location in terms of proximity to amenities including Kukui‘ula, Poipu Village Shopping, grocery and so much more! Take a stroll to the sunset wall, Baby Beach or Sheraton. Pool and grounds are well kept and remains one of Poipu's best-kept secrets for lodging!
Family of 5 had a fun stay in the great condo with ample space in a fantastic location. Easy access to beaches, shopping and restaurants. The peloton is a nice touch. Lots of sleeping and hanging space.
Great place to stay for a few nights. Within walking distance to shops, food, and the shore. Lots of songbirds in the trees. Lots of flowering plants around the grounds. More loud roosters in the morning than where we stayed on the north shore.
Nice location, little bit dated, but very large one bedroom. Formica countertops and old furniture. Very spacious and very well stocked. Our condo came with everything from extension cords to body boards. Great value for the area. Could probably afford to be maintained a little better, though. But you just can't beat the value. To my knowledge, there is no hot tub on the property. It looks like there...
