Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino

Spare decor and clean no frills room at a reasonable price. Pool is clean and nice. Food at bar is decent and moderately priced. I had the nachos which were good and the Philly cheesesteak which was also good. And I'm known to be picky about bar food. There is both table and bar seating.
Service was friendly and pompt.
If you are ok without extras, FOR THE PRICE, this place is unbeatable next to the World Famous Strip.

First 3 nights were acceptable, although, I can't support ********* smell and it is allover the place, including pool area. I prolonged the stay (even submitted a positive review), re-checked the keys and paid new deposit in the evening, but in the morning cleaning came to tell me I need to leave: I said it is a mistake, please check at reception. Next, Ricky, a dark-skinned racist receptionist/manager, came with security to kick me out!?!?!?! I explained that I did pay and prolonged my stay already, he verified and confirmed..., but STILL, instead of admitting hotel's mistake about my checkout date, he continued trying to kick me out, "because HE made such decision"!!!. I said: call higher manager, he responded that higher manager won't be available to talk to me (a lie!!). It is unimaginable! Despite rough times I am going trough, Ricky had no mercy, made fun of me, and was rude beyond the limit, threatened to call police! Don't even want to write about it, but I could not believe this was happening. I said, yes, call police!....
Next, I came to reception, talked to higher manger (who was already aware of my case), he saw I was right, he tried to somehow smoothen the situation, apologized, but..... NEVER, NEVER I would stay again in this rude marihuana-smelly place, which BTW also doesn't clean rooms until you checkout... TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

We booked last minute and ended up choosing a smoking room. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed us and offered to change us to another room! That was very nice. The hotel is well located, close to the Sphere, with an old structure, but we had no problems with the room, it was ok for the price we paid!
