The Brown Hotel

We had an exceptional stay this past weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The checking process was quick and easy and the front desk was wonderful and I love that they acknowledged and gave me my iprefer member benefits! Room was nice, clean and spacious. Very quiet and no issues with noise. Would like to have a refrigerator in the room or at least bottled water but other than that it was wonderful and exceeded our expectations.

We are frequent guests at The Brown, always outstanding in every way. I have ordered the scallops many times in past dining, always amazing. My meal last night was rather disappointing, the Scallops were gritty like pieces of sand on them—My friend’s Scallops were as well. I feel they also needed a risotto or some sort of starch side with the Scallops, I was not able to eat the mushrooms served as a side. Highly recommend The Brown restaurant in lieu of my meal last night— I think it was an off night in the kitchen— I hope. Outstanding service. Extremely comfortable bed.

Perfect location for exploring Louisville. Beautiful historical hotel on the main drag! Easy to walk to restaurants. Rooms need some updating, but they are kept to the historic period. Beds are comfortable. Love the friendly valet service, especially Mahid. Margaret B at the front desk was so helpful and professional. We enjoyed our stay. Ice view from the rooftop.

Had a great dining experience while visiting today. Our serving staff was amazing and made for a great dining experience. Kris was a wonderful host with the best sense of humor.
Harold was a pleasure with his quick wit and easy charisma.

Very helpful staff, the place was absolutely beautiful. My wife and I took an unguided tour, even played a couple of games of chess. The room was spacious so was the bathroom. We were greeted promptly and also given ideas for dinner if we decided to venture off. The only downside was the bed. Felt like we sleeping on the floor. Like literally that hard.

Beautiful historic accommodations. Always wonderful, superb customer service, LOTS of character. Great for special occasions. Beds/bedding are very comfy. Great location within walking distance of many attractions and eateries. They also have a parking garage if you are planning to be in and out.

This hotel is the perfect blend of sophisticated elegance and modern convenience. A difficult task that the Brown has achieved. From the moment i walked into the door I was captivated by its architecture and history not to mention the piano playing softly in the background. Our room was clean comfortable and well appointed. Our dinner was superb and our server Kris was excellent. The staff was warm and inviting. I can only hope the next historic hotel we choose to stay at (as we have a list) will be as wonderful as this one. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
