We were blown away by the staff during our stay. “G” and James waiting on everyone by the pool were incredible. Both of them were working non stop with smiles on their faces. Incredible people. Also Jimmy helped us with our bags at the end of our trip and he was so kind and helpful. The entire staff were just 100% Thanks for making our stay amazing!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful of a time we had here! We stayed for 4 nights and literally never wanted to leave. Everyone was so delightful and genuinely seemed happy to be working there. I was a little nervous going in since a lot of reviews were less than great, however, I was happily surprised! We stayed in a beautifully appointed family suite. It was clean and spacious. We had a wonderful stay. We mainly relaxed my the adult pool. Radar was very friendly and kept us up on drinks the whole day. He made sure we had everything we needed. Hotel staff were friendly and inviting. We visited the Florida Keys to celebrate our 30 year wedding anniversary and the hotel made it memorable by upgrading us to a waterview suite. Room was spacious, clean and had a big modern decor bathroom. Would definitely stay there again even without the upgraded room

I do not write reviews often, but this place is a must if you visiting Florida keys. If it’s a stop on the way to key west which is 1 hour away or if you plan to just visit keys around marathon. A great convenient location with everything you could need for a quiet vacation within a 5-20 minute walk. On site breakfast bar has a wide variety of delicious snacks and meals with pleasant attendants. Many local restaurants and bars within a 5-10 minute drive. Perfectly located. Room was big, clean and well maintained. The pools were clean and the views form them were very enjoyable. The beach is easy to access and is a nice plus. Breakfast was very tasty. The staff was very kind from check-in to check-out and gave great advices on what to do around marathon key. Absolutely stunning view, clean room, helpful staff, hot tub and pool area neat and clean, water was crystal clean. The room was updated from last year but some of the construction was sloppy and could use a little primping. Clean, private and enjoyable. Loved the up/down style of the villas which gave us plenty of room to spread out. Went her for my first anniversary Labor Day weekend. We didn’t even think that it would be that hot but I was very hot. Luckily it didn’t matter because we had the pool and beach. Very comfortable villas and the pools are nice. A lot of rules, no food or drinks allowed by the pool area, and a few others that seemed odd for a resort. Beachfront area was okay, water was blocked off so it was safe if you have young children, but there was nowhere you could go further into the water because of the wall. Tranquility Bay is our favorite resort! My family stays at Tranquility Bay at least once each year. We look forward to going back because we love the employees and the laid back feeling. And the Butterfly Cafe is amazing. It’s so nice to have our own beach house for a few days.

Beautiful resort with sand beach and multiple pools. Waterfront and water view condos are clean and comfortable with full kitchens - not just hotel rooms. Two good restaurants on resort (one casual the other gourmet). The Tiki bar has a great location on the beach with lovely views. Optimum middle Keys location for activities and access to Key West.

One the cheaper resorts on this side of the keys. All in all was a very thankful experience. Polite and informative staff. Nicely arranged rooms and bathrooms. Good for a couple or the whole family. Beautiful restaurant. Don't know about the quality of the food because didn't eat there this time. Only thing that would've made it a picture perfect is a nice beach. Great hotel for the money. Rooms have been remodeled and updated. However, the pool needs a complete makeover. The finish and cement is cracked and crumbling. There needs to be better maintenance by the pool area. Piles of bird poop on the ledges and in pool. In my opinion, if you are looking for a nice pool look elseware.

Great little "Route66" type place. Our room was very clean - it was small but comfortable. The friendly staff was very helpful. We really enjoyed Stand Up Paddling with Manatees in the canal as well as kayaking and beach cruiser bikes - all free! We'll definitely visit again!

Jenny was very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The kayaks and bikes were a huge bonus. Lots to do. They were doing a lot of maintenance work while we were there, however it has to be done sometime. The other front desk lady at night was a bit quick to cut me off and also felt the need to reiterate the no smoking policy, since she noticed a pack of cigarettes in my hand. Felt kind of judgy...

The people are great the place is clean and it's centrally located in the Keys I stayed there two times in the last couple years and I will return there when I get a chance to get back to the Keys

Stayed in canal room with kitchen. While a tad dated, room was fine for us, as we were too busy sightseeing and enjoying the amenities (kayaks, fishing poles, iguanas). Dealt mainly with Alex at front desk...awesome!

This is a great place to stay! We were late to book our trip here during the holiday season in December. We found this was one of the only places that was available in the keys that was within our budget. Safe to say my expectations were exceeded. We stayed for three nights in the Great White apartment. From check in to check out, staff members were outstanding and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious and great air conditioning (important in Marathon in August). The king sized bed was very comfortable and the linens clean and fresh. Very good experience with my stay in Thunderbolt and taking everything into account. Room was clean and equipped with more than I could ask for. Customer service on phone, check in and check out was quick and to the point. Staff is nice and helpful. Location is excellent. The Jet ski rental was a blast, it was only my wife and I, and the instructor and he brought us to incredible places all throughout the keys! We heard they were laid back and gave us the freedom to enjoy, and it was exactly that. A gorgeous tour with perfect weather! My husband and I booked the Sombrero Reef and Private Island Excursion and had a fabulous time! The boat was clean and well maintained, which made the ride out to the reef comfortable and enjoyable. Captain Juan and First Mate Micah were a great team and they made sure we were well taken care of and were having fun. I recently stayed here and found it very enjoyable. People were probably friendlier here than anywhere else I went in the Keys. The room was very clean and came with plenty of towels. The location was great, walking distance to restaurants and right near the 7 mile bridge.

Lobby smells great! Room (117) was clean, big, and had a cute view of the bay (although that area is under constructing). Sunrise/ set was obstructed by things around, but you could see the change in the sky. It's water front, but no beach. 3 hammocks on the water - super relaxing and nice views. Only issue is the marina, which runs charters, can be noisy. Haven't eaten or drank at Barnacles Barney...

Quick access to everywhere mile marker 0 is 55 minutes away, the hotel has a tiki-bar but does not serve hard liquor. There is a charter boats, boat rental, snorkel, diving and more at the rear of the hotel. The sand bar trip with charter company was awesome. Very nice resort. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. The beds were firm but not too hard. My husband and I had a studio room with a queen size bed, a couch, a TV and a table with 2 chairs. Stayed here as guest of a time share owner and found most amenities above average. The studio has a king bed and full double sink bathroom. The usual large screen TV with pretty good wifi. Had a second floor balcony with a view of the parking lot but oh well. Decent pool and hot tub on the small side. No beach access here, have to go elsewhere. The tiki bar had a singer which drove me away.

If you want to be on the beach, with a good place to eat and drink right next door, this is the place for you. The beach is small (Most of them are), but it's a beach. Pool is nice and warm. A standard room is pretty small.

We were referred to Glunz resort from our fellow Canadians, many who stop for overnights before or after Key West trips. My husband and I were very pleased with everything - the hospitality of the front desk staff who willingly let us store our luggage when our flight was in the evening. One of best experiences we have ever had anywhere. The staff is amazing the food is wonderful. I feel like cheers there everybody knows your name. My husband, myself, and our two young kids stayed here for 5 days and had an absolute BLAST! Clean, well maintained resort with beautiful views of the marina and overall great location in Marathon. Our stay was lovely. The room was MASSIVE! What a surprise. This place is perfect for families on a budget. Lots of things for kids and groups. However, it was just my husband & I travelling - so there wasn’t much for us to do once the bar closed at 8 lol The breakfast provided was no frills and delicious. This place is okay. I liked the view of the marina on one side, but the other side is a ‘construction zone’ and is an eye sore. The staff were lovely and the complimentary breakfast was great. A cute little place for a getaway on Marathon. Was there for 16 days and it was so worth it. Ben at the front desk was really helpful. The relaxed atmosphere and the location. The unique combination of informal marina and motel gave the Blackfin Resort a very friendly ambience.In easy travelling distance from Key West it provided a good base to explore the Keys.

Room was clean. The staff was really friendly and we didn't experience racism referring to previous complaints. They were able to accommodate us since we were arriving late. They made the checking and outnprocess really smooth. I would definitely come back in the future.

This place is simply perfect for the person that wants to trailer there boat down to the middle keys and have a safe place to park their trailer along with a nice comfy bed to sleep in. This place checks all the boxes and accommodated my 30 ft boat and trailer with no issues. The staff was super nice and even helped with the parking and launching of boats. We had an awesome 8 days stay. The staff were super friendly. The room was very clean, towels were provided as requested. The view from this location was beautiful. This is one of the original places to stay on Key Colony Beach. I grew up on the island as a child and enjoy seeing original establishments still running. This is located right on the Atlantic Ocean with fabulous views. There is a beach as well as a pool also on on the beach. Simple and one of the more affordable stays in Marathon area. The staff was quick with the business so we could get right to relaxing,even let us check in early. The room was clean and just what you need for a quick getaway. Clean and a great place to sleep! The beach is so picturesque and fully appointed with plenty of beach chairs, tables and Adirondack chairs. We brought a coffee pot so that wasn't an issue. There is breakfast, but I didn't even go because having my coffee at a table facing the beautiful beach was enough for me. I am so glad we found this little gem! Nice rooms for the price no TV(just bad timing towers getting serviced) or hairdryer and free ranging chickens that wake you up every morning. Nice sitting area free coffee and a nice pool clean rooms. It's only about 50 miles from key west all in all a good place to stay for the price.

It has been 2-3 years but,,,the restaurant was recovering from a hurricane and being diligently worked on. It was in July so the beach had "Red tide." Did see kayaks available but did not use. The resort itself was so cool! Lovely clean room and also had villas I think where people could have a kitchen, porch and cook the fish they caught right out back! Our family really enjoyed our 2 bedroom suite (Room 11) at the Rainbow Bend Resort and the owners did a great job with the remodeling. The beds were very comfortable, we loved the crisp white bed linen and full kitchen, the ac worked great, and the oceanfront view from our balcony was to die for! Our family's favorite part was dining on our balcony while watching the swaying trees and ocean waves....

This place was great! We had a great room with a view of the ocean and an amazing night sky. The pool was fantastic and they kept the grounds very clean. The only thing we did not expect was the ocean was not really swimmable from the hotel even during high tide it was hard to swing and the weeds were too much but overall it was a great place to stay. For what it is and what we paid, it's about what we expected. Would give it a other stay but we had ants and some other little bugs (not bed bugs) in our room. Bathroom towel holder fell off the wall one morning but the employees were very very nice, especially the taller middle aged guy. Would probably stay here again due to it being more affordable and less than an hour from Key West.

This is a cost savings motel. If you are expecting posh don't book here. We stayed one night after booking a last minute trip. The manager was great and so was the staff. The bed, ac & noise were all fine. No bugs.

Called and spoke to Ryan and he was able to get us a room for labor day weekend. It was a last plan because we already have a reservation at a camping place and that was a joke. we needed something asap. Ryan made room for us and he was great the room was clean. Bathroom was okay. It was better than I thought it would be.

This Motel is just that. It's cheaper than you'll find elsewhere but don't expect much. The rooms are dated, with some broken fixtures. For cleanliness it smelled like it had been cleaned, however there were A LOT of ants in the bathroom. Like a lot. There is also no one at the front desk after 5 pm. Though there weren't any rooms available a few days ago every time I go there I leave happily rested a pool for my exercise there's even a handicap lift if you need that all of the staff I like family to me can't say enough good things about the sea Dell Harry and his lovely bride Carolyn run a wonderful operation and have the finest help

We just booked this place on our way to keywest not knowing what to expect. We reached here late night and was stunned by the beautiful view of the sea at night. The rooms were very clean and we had a great stay. We woke up early and this time the view was even more spectacular. The water had receded so we could walk a little while. I would definitely stay here again.

It is a nice place but not any more as it has incurred Irma's wrath. Why is this not publicized anywhere? I was down in mid November and the first floor of the main building was wiped out and the swimming pool filled with debris, and their wonderful infinity pier was wiped out and is now nothing but posts. I hope it recovers.

Very good hotel for a few days of stay beautiful view and great experience.. As soon as you arrive that wet seaweed smell hits you but it's not bad because after 1 day, your nose adapts to it.. The room was very clean except the shower had no hot water and the shower was very small... but otherwise the room was nice and cozy and a fairly big room.. Nice place! Was very accommodating to the fact that we got there late. Very beautiful view and resort area. If you have realistic expectations, this place was perfect for spending a night/morning in the keys. Swimming is not really an option however. Like I said, have realistic expectations. This isn't Hawaii

Great location if you are just using as a base. The egg smell overpowers you the minute you are out of your room. Would be good to have somewhere to hang wet swimming things. Rubbish (trash) on the 'beach' when the tide goes out could be cleared easily if they could be bothered. For the money we paid they could do so much more! The free tiki hut coffee is just an urn of bad-tasting coffee in polystyrene...

Just heard you talking on NPR about losing the Inn. Want you to know that prayers for your success are being said. Also, consider a gofund me to help rebuild.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very laid back. Excellent staff that goes out of their way to please.

2 stars off for cockroaches in our room. But everything else was perfect! Gorgeous view, friendly stuff, even friendly dog. Location is good too. It's 15 min drive to sombrero Beach, which is my favorite. Most rooms have kitchen, but in our was just microwave and a fridge (it actually explains cockroaches situation). Oh, and make sure you watch sunrise over there, it's absolutely stunning!

I had a fantastic weekend getaway at White Sands. My family and I just moved to the area a few weeks and found this little gem. The owner and her daughter were very warm and welcoming. And don't get me started on the amazing guest assistant, (Brenda)! I recommend this place to everyone!
