Grand Hotel Ocean City Oceanfront

The room was not clean. We found stains everywhere (and some were concerning because of their location), on the carpet, curtains, shower curtain, and even on the headboard/wall. There were crumbs/powder on top of the dresser. The carpet left the bottom of my feet black from walking on it. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were puffed up and hard which made sleeping difficult. The air conditioning was incredibly loud and ineffective at night. The walls were paper thin so we could always hear someone's TV next door. We had several family members staying in different rooms, all had similar feedback.

The pools were not cleaned effectively and had hair floating in them, even in the early morning with no one there. Service at the bar & grill and poolside bar was friendly but incredibly slow. Only real redeeming quality is the location. Once you exit the hotel from the back, you're directly on the boardwalk and in front of the beach. I also enjoyed our balcony. But it was not even remotely worth the price - we paid 4 star prices for a 1-2 star hotel that describes itself as a 3 star hotel. Would not return.
