Holiday Inn Ocean City, an IHG Hotel

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had booked three rooms, all were in same hall and updated. Renovated pool area was beautiful. Two wishes, it stayed open at least one more hour, and they enforced the rule about kids needing to be with an adult in the hot tub. At times it seemed more like a kiddie pool. My kids also went in, but with us. Halls did need updated carpet and lighting, but it's clear they are working on updates. From what I researched, it's one of the few hotels with a large pool area oceanfront. You can't see the ocean from the pool, but it's convenient if you want to move back and forth through the day like we did. The food from the pool grill was really good too. Would definitely stay again.

Overall stay was pleasant. Great view of the beach from or balcony. My only gripe is the lack of attention to the pool area. The key system to enter is always broken and people from all over come and use the amenities (I’ve watched people leave and go to different hotels). In the rare times that the gates do work, people bypass them by simply going thru the lobby and walking right by the front desk. While the pool is big, it does crowd up very quickly and becomes trouble when kids with boogie boards (should not be allowed) swim by you and kick you in the head.
For the amount you pay this time of year, everything should work and there should be a better system for actual hotel guests.

This was a good hotel. The pool with the swim up bar is nice as are the hammocks. The staff is friendly and hotel is very clean. I took away a star because the outside pool bar closes super early, and the restaurant closes a little early too. Also we booked an ocean view and we thought it would be a full ocean view. When we asked apparently a lot of people do that because if how they word it online.

First and foremost were the welcoming smiles of staff. From checking in to checking out, and the multiple times we were in and out, we we’re always greeted with smiles and greetings. The four door lounge and swimming pool areas were incredible! Almost like being on a tropical island. The king ocean front room was dated but very clean and the bed so comfortable we slept straight through the night! Now that’s a true vacation! Thanks to all the staff including the cleaning crews that made our stay so relaxing and pleasant.

Went to this location for our anniversary. The front desk employee was wonderful! We received a free bottle of champagne for the occasion. We had a fantastic stay! The staff answered all of our questions about ocean city. The room was clean and accommodating. Overall we had a fantastic time.

Stood here for birthday weekend/engagement celebration on easter weekend. The staff were more than courteous. Left chocolates on our door. Were very professional. Well worth the trip from NY. Forgot a charger in the room, received a call about 3 hours later saying they found it! You dont see that everyday!!! Beautiful, clean facility with many amenities. Plus everything is a nice walk/short drive away. So whats not to love? Would be coming back and staying longer next time!!!
