This is a nice location if you walk the Santa Cruz Boardwalk Beach. All the rooms face the ocean so you are guaranteed an ocean view which is wonderful. Can't beat the location and the views, for sure. Staff was super friendly, especially the valets. For the price, the amenities in the rooms could have been much nicer (better coffee, nicer bedding, etc.) Bathroom is dated and needs a good remodel. We checked in on Easter weekend and we're able to easily upgrade to a family suite. The suite was much more spacious than we thought it would be, huge! The best hotel I have stayed in US so far. I come from Europe, there the hotels are generally of better quality. Here I felt as in Europe, this is a big compliment!

The facilities are beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful and there is dinner and breakfast available. We were able to use the pool and hot tub. The bed was very comfortable, everything was great. It was about a 20 minute drive to the Santa Cruz boardwalk which is where we spent most of our time.

The room is as expected at par but the swimming pool is sparkling clean! Not to mention the mattress is very comfotable too. The buildings are old structures but they maintain very well. We've stayed in other hotels in the area and so far this one is the best.

This had to be one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time. The property is well maintained, the room and bed were great, and the complimentary breakfast was really good. The staff were accommodating and willing to help with any request. Would recommend 5/5.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's about a 10 minute drive away from the wharf in a very quiet mixed use neighbourhood. There are trails and beaches just a few minutes walk away. Free breakfast and parking were really appreciated as well. Highly recommended.

Clean and nice. Typical hotel issues. Mini-fridge freezes things and the breakfast is about as good as left over McDonald's. On the bright side the TV was easy to connect to HDMI.

We have been to this particular Comfort Inn Location for many years. Location is amazing just a few steps away from the Boardwalk and restaurants. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Management has been putting a lot of effort in upgrading rooms. Staff has always been consistent and trustworthy. This is our go to place for a staycation from bay area.

Its super close to the beach and boardwalk. Old motel style so you can hear quite a bit of outside noise. The rooms have been updated and look great and and very clean. Parking is limited so check in early.

The people were very friendly and my room was very nice and clean. The location was just blocks away from the boardwalk and all l had to do was walk. The only downside to this place is not a lot of places to dine around the area. Otherwise I had a great experience.

Property has a 7-day cancellation policy which seems unusually restrictive and inconsistent with other places in the area which have more typical 48 hour cancellation policies. It was a fantastic visit and stay at the Rio Vista Inn. We had a late arrival but Jeremy had everything all set up for us. Even saved us a parking spot. The caption says "laid back hotel" but the experience is anything but. The lady at the front desk treated us more like trespassers than guests. This is a pet-friendly location with grounds to walk your dog and the beach is within walking distance. They have accommodations for up to 12 people so this is a great place for a family reunion. We love this place. Each cottage is different and fully furnished. Had a fenced in yard to bbq and for the dogs also. All staff if friendly and just once you meet them they are like friends for forever. Big lawn area for the dogs to play. We never go anywhere else when in Pacific Grove.

I stayed at Asilomar Conference Grounds for a 2-day / 1-night retreat. A few main buildings are located at the center of campus (dining hall, lecture room, guest check-in) and the residential buildings are scattered on the outskirts. The location of this Hotel is great. Historical grounds add interest to a lovely quiet setting along the coastline. A short sweet walk along a path leads to a white sandy beach. Seventeen mile road meanders thru between beach and grounds. If you like history, world class beach and views,this place is positively enchanting!

We booked this hotel during Monterey Car Week expecting it to be a low grade hotel considering the price. We were very wrong. Not only did we have an oceanfront view every morning we woke up, but the service here is the best we've had at any hotel during Monterey Car Week.
