Loved the location and the size of the room. Staff was really friendly. Very relaxed and beautiful.
I stayed there with my family over New Year's for 2023 and I can't write a glowing enough review. It was a great location and they have THE BEST MOST ATTENTIVE STAFF of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Sam the assistant manager was particularly accommodating by helping us get our cars dug out of the snow and providing the best advice and service you could ever expect to receive. I 100% recommend staying...
I am a Wyndham owner and have been here many times in the 20 years that I’ve owned. We like to come in the winter when it has snowed so we can experience “winter”. Very close to Nevada beach, a short walk, and a grocery store within blocks. Downtown casinos are also close as well as Heavenly. We love coming here and this last visit it looked like they had made improvements in the rooms. Will continue...
The rooms don't have AC so we had to keep the windows open. With people arriving all times of the day/night it can be pretty loud. Lots of late night noise. The TVs are pretty old and small, the shower in the bigger bedroom is tiny. Our fridge didn't keep much cold and the ice maker didn't work. The location to the lake was great.
We had a 3 bedroom unit. Greeted by friendly staff members and our unit was ready when we arrived. The unit was clean and pretty much up to date. Luckily, we were on the first floor, there are some buildings without elevators. Beautiful setting, short walk to the lake. Parking is a problem, one vehicle per unit. Great experience.
Wonderful as always. Comfy beds and great accommodations.

If you want a quick getaway this is definitely a gem. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely people in the community. Beautiful views and things to do!!! Great for the family, friends, or couples.
Lovely cabin. Great view of the lake. No WiFi and loud heater were unfortunate but good to get away from the internet for a few days.
A quiet beach when we went in late Oct, yet the view was beautiful, windy and slightly on the chill side. It would be fantastic If the weather was just a bit warmer. Clear water, beautiful sunset and colorful boats lying on the beach made perfect view for the visitors.
Didn't stay at resort but took MS Dixie II dinner cruise and that was very memorable
This resort is perfect for every occasion! The staff is helpful caring and so positive! The views cannot be matched anywhere when you take advantage of the snowmobile tours or the MS Dixie!! We did both and can't stop talkinging about the experience! We WILL be back!!!!
Nice place to chill out, I've been when there are a ton of people and when there's no one. Very beautiful views and a couple of benches and tables to sit at.

Stayed 3 days. Quiet hours not followed. Auto sensing lights go on/off all night. Otherwise really good.
The owner was gracious enough to allow us to have our organization spend time here for an afternoon staff retreat. The area was quiet and private. The outdoor space had plenty of seating for our staff including picnic tables and patio swings. The resort is in a good location, close to all of the Stateline restaurants and shops, and the staff were welcoming and helpful when we arrived.
Pine Cone Resort is an amazing place among the trees to lay your head! It truly gives you the feeling of coming home again …. Or like you’ve found the coziest cabin in all of Lake Tahoe. This place is special. Built with gorgeous wood it has a real Pine like feel. We enjoyed numerous toasty evenings by the wood burning fireplace. Wood was even provided in our room upon arrival. The staff was available...
The location of pine cone resort is close to everything you could hope for in south lake tahoe! Short drive to everything, a lovely dive restaurant right across the road, and public beach access about 1 mile away. The room itself is cozy and charming, and staff is incredibly responsive to any needs you may have - plus they give awesome recommendations of what to do around town. You will undoubtedly...
Great location and just a quick little drive to Stateline and Heavenly village. The host was very friendly and extremely accommodating. The room was cozy with a cabin-like feel and decor. Dog friendly with dog run attached to the room was a nice perk. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone traveling and staying in the area.
We booked a 1 bedroom suite so the kids had a separate room. The living room had a nicer fridge and TV then we have at home. The beds were comfortable and the full kitchen had everything we needed. There's a few BBQ grills which was great. The pool and spa both worked. Whoever built the place must have been in construction, it was built to last. We met the current owner while there, he's a retired...

Best breakfast deal in town. This is our go to especially on the weekend when everywhere else is one hour plus wait. Great specials but steer clear of lunch items and stick with the breakfast.
I stayed here for two days with my wife. It's more of a 1950's motel than hotel. The casino is small but charming and the staff is excellent. Our TV wasn't working in the room we checked in, and when it couldn't be fixed, they upgraded us immediately to a bigger room. By car it's less than 5 minutes to the larger casinos down the road. I'd absolutely stay here again.
Are you kidding with that prime rib dinner special!? Gotta try this place if you are in South Lake Tahoe. Plus, their warm bread with the butter spread and olive oil/balsamic is mouth watering. This is a place that understands being pretentious gets you nowhere after the flashy trend dies down. Great service too. I'll be back again and again as long as nothing changes.
Cheap, but nice rooms and large hot tub. Next door to a great liquor store. Easy to walk into town. Wouldn't carry my skis or board from here though.
We go every year! And every year its worth the trip. Affordable, clean, rooms without any bells or whistles. Great food at the restaurant at a great price. Plus the pool and spa are open year round!
Crap service in the Latin Soul restaurant. Stay away from the water logged seafood

This review is for the cocktail server, Kate that worked the floor last night, April 15th. She was very friendly and attentive and kept the drinks coming. Super quick and efficient! Thank you for taking care of us and everyone else in the casino. You made losing our money on the slot machines more bearable. Lol Take care and thanks again!
This former Hard Rock Hotel has an inviting casino and a William Hill Sports Book inside the sports bar (one of the best sports books). They are remodeling rooms and rebranding the hotel decor, but I still love the concert posters and the 6 decades of music playing in the casino and hotel common areas, so hoping they don't mess that up. Room was clean but this is an old hotel and bathrooms are standard...
Not a bad stay overall. Our room was nice and it came with a balcony (although not every room does). The view was nice from our room. There was a fridge and coffee maker included. The service was good and the location was not bad. We enjoyed our 2-night stay.
We didn't stay at the hotel, but we dined here twice on separate occasions. The Oyster Bar is so dope. And the Alpine had some pretty good pub fare. Don't forget to get your parking validated!
Beautiful and convenient location. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom left much to be desired but offered a tour back to the past in 70s/80s type living. The bell desk were helpful, prompt and courteous! We meet the best Roulette table person with a fantastic personality that made our gaming time fun! Overall, I would refer friends and family and will be back for sure!
Great staff and the location is perfect. The hotel itself is a little dated. The room could have been cleaned better. Leftover loose cereal in the mini fridge and bottle caps left in the bathroom on the floor. Holes in the blackout curtains. No coffee maker in the room. The balcony seemed a little weird it was slanted and only had 1 chair to sit on. The bathroom is really small especially the shower...

Dave made it super easy to book and check it. it was a very simple process we had our kiddos with us and it was great it felt homey, clean and had every thing we needed. The heat was on when we got there and it was amazing specially being at the snow all day. We totally watched a movie and had some hot coco. It is honestly a hidden GEM! super close to everything which was wonderful! Haven’t was legit...
Wow, what a little GEM this place is! My daughter and I came with our pups to have some fun in the snow, and booked at Doc’s at the last minute! David helped us get one of the last cabins available (#5, so cute!), and we couldn’t have asked for better! The cottages are right next to all the fun, walking distance from Heavenly, the casinos, restaurants, and the Lake! The cottage has a parking space...
Booking the stay was easy and convenient. The service was perfect, the rooms were clean and neat. The location and price were the best. Will definitely be back! Greg Moura
Doc's is one of a kind! It fell for a bit under terrible management but the Watsons have taken back full control and these cottages are now what they once were! Amazing! It is so nice to know that Angie's daughter has taken over completely as of recent. I'm very glad in this case as this is one of my favorite places to stay! Welcome back Doc's!
We visit Doc's cottages a few times a year. We have always had a great stay & we have never been disappointed.
Quiet very quaint. Cottages are clean & up to date. Owners are very friendly and easy to work with. No resort fees.

The room was clean and it even had a few amenities the beds need warmer blankets and for the price they should have daily maid service or at the very least a towel service. As for the property it definitely needs to be updated and perhaps throw in some handicap parking. Not at all impressed with the upkeep or maintenance. I think next time am gonna have to try somewhere else for the money this place...
The hotel was great with friendly front desk and housekeeping staff. Easy check-in with a clean, semi-updated room. Appreciated the bathroom setup with large shower and sliding door for closure. Adjacent location under construction causing some constriction of the outdoor parking (temporary). Overall would recommend as it's close to local shopping, food and activities. Easy walking or a short drive...
I almost didn’t stay here because of the negative reviews. My standard, non-smoking king room is huge, modern, clean… everything I could ask for and then some. I suppose it’s possible that some rooms have not been renovated, but that was not my experience. Everything you need is on site or within half a mile up the street, and while the casino area smells like smoke, it’s very easy to escape the smell...
Was here or a wrestling event and stayed overnight. The pool and spa was well kept and clean. The event was in a room that was well-designed for concerts and theater stage shows. However with the wrestling ring 1/4 of the viewing area was hidden by the stage. The downside is that the rooms are not well ventilated, condensation gathers on the walls in the bathroom and windows with no fan for removal...
This is my favorite Casino hotel to stay at. Although the gaming floor is small is sufficient until you hop to the next place. Hotel- beautiful and recently remodeled. Easy check in and convienent location of elevators to the gaming floor, Starbucks ak d parking. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean. I've never had a complaint about the cleanliness during any of my stays. Views- gorgeous no matter...

Most of the staff are in bad moods. I've made efforts to alleviate some of them. Some get better with time and kindness. I do consider the difficult people they are required to deal with on a daily basis and they probably aren't earning a livable wage. I do try to consider where they're coming from. But there are some there who really just don't like being there and you can tell. From my perspective...
Our room was fantastic and the views were incredible! We had no maid service during our stay but other than that, we were very happy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which is one way I rate hotels! We love to play craps. All the dealers here are great but we really want to point out one in particular. Laurie Derby is extremely efficient, competent and represents the casino with excellence...
I feel like they saved a lot of money by drawing the plans for the bathrooms themselves. The placement of the toilet paper is perfect for a contortionist. Also, watch out for the doorstop in the bathroom unless you want a broken toe. If you like a flat pillow then you will love the ones provided, otherwise bring one from home. It's clean and roomy.
Rooms were great. House keeping did a wonderful job. Food was way to expensive. Even their "cheap" takeout option was bare minimum $18. And vending machines was $3 no matter what you got. No buffet. Some staff were super nice. Some seemed like we just passed them off by saying hi or asking how to connect to wifi
Clean Large rooms but old furniture. Light above the sofa did not work. Our room had 2 bathrooms which we liked. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was good. Only outside parking.
I did not stay at Harrah's. I only walked through it. It was nice but I was totally turned off the minute I entered. It smelled of old cigarettes and it just smelled worse the more into the casino I went. I did not do anything in the casino because of the cigarette smoke just walked through and left. I was under the assumption that all the casinos are nonsmoking but I was wrong. If you smoke then this...

A rep named "Jessica" (present around 7:30am, 2/13/24), at the front desk was rude to us when we were checking out. Stayed Thanksgiving weekend at “The View”. Family really enjoyed the room, the clubhouse, pool , the sauna, and the hot tub. Phenomenal and relaxing time.
The property is private, the sights are breath taking, the people are so friendly. The shuttle runs guests into town so no need to stress about driving.
This is a regular location for us when we visit Lake Tahoe. We were very pleased with the Atlantic Salmon and the 10oz Prime Rib. We treated ourselves to Torched Apple Manhattan and some Hampton Water Rose. Service is always impeccable. Our waiter deserves high praise for his assistance.
I gave them four stars because the staff was very nice and helpful. The facility was clean and looked very nice. They also provide a lot of activity for the visitors. I couldn't give them a 5 because there were several things that we're in need of repair. Presently they are in transition and making upgrades. I am not in total agreement with the cross mixing of the themes of the units but it is a nice...
Great landscape views, cozy rooms, full kitchen options to book, clubhouse with pool, Roman hot tub, fitness center and small marketplace options. Between these amenities and local amusement, we enjoyed our week stay!
I love this place. The times I've been here it's been clean however this time around the pull out beds were stained. Roll away beds are not available due to safety issues. They have complimentary do it your self laundry service. They provide laundry detergent no dryer sheets which is fine. I found that to be very convenient because I didn't have to take home dirty clothes. The staff is really nice...

You cannot get a better location than this when you are going to the Nevada side of Heavenly. You can walk too, but we just drove to stage coach and found parking easily. We rented a two bedroom condo and it was fantastic. We came in late but still was able to check-in using their remote reception facility. It was a first for me but worked. Epic location for skiing from Stagecoach or Boulder Heavenly bases. Awesome views of the ridge. Shuttle to skiing is free. Epic sexy jacuzzi in some rooms, see photos
Our room was down about 5 flights of stairs ... If your handicap I Highly don't recommend it. Its a remote location tucked way up the top of heavenly. Breath taking views quite wilderness setting. Pack your own food because most restaurants are about a twelve min drive down the hill. The swimming pool was not insight of location that I was at but at top up about 6 flights of stairs was 2 hot tubs with...
We stayed here in the summer by mistake because there are several properties called The Ridge. Important things to know is that there is no elevator so it's an effort to go up and down. Very nice. Recently remodeled. Underground parking & elevator is a bonus. Away from the hustle & bustle but conveniences nearby. No complaints.
Was nice to get away from the usual crowds and noise around Stateline. Needs some updating and maintenence. Kitchen not very well stocked. 2 bedroom was not very clean, floors a mess. Probably better to stay at the main hotel, the Ridge.
We loved our stay! The room was amazing!! Lots of walking trails nearby. The only downside was the pool. It was soooo dirty. That’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
Love the building and our room was recently renovated so that was a huge plus. The building is a bit far from the resort center but the kids love to take the shuttle over. Hopefully they add more family friendly items to the clubhouse on site as well as the main clubhouse.
Beautiful and peaceful. No matter what building you stay in you will be very happy. These are not normal hotel rooms, these are suites from large to small. Staff is amazing, and it was so clean. Exclusive resort with outstanding location and staff

The apartments have been recently renovated so it was quite nice. Confy bed. Building instead is too old/not nice, but I liked the location as you can walk to the slopes and you do not need to wait for the shuttle. If your preference is skiing/snowboarding as much as you can, this is a good place ( in front of stagecoach lift). If you are looking for a luxury place, there are much better hotels. We...

The location is nice, the view is beautiful and the staff are friendly. However, the only cooling was an evaporative cooler and opening the windows. The office of the resort is separate from the actual place where we stayed, which wasn't a big deal, but is a good thing to know. The free wifi is very slow. Good for skiing, fairly spacious, some great views when looking down the valley, friendly staff, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen. I would definitely go again during ski season with friends. Our room is great with beautiful views except for the fact that our jacuzzi tub, sleep number bed doesn't work and my son got an electrical shock from the fireplace screen. Well the outcome was definitely greater than I expected, Samantha took really good...
The one bedroom timeshare was nice and roomy. The sofa bed was a little strange...foam blocks... but not uncomfortable. There were accessible plugs, the lights were labeled and the hot tub, a short distance down the hall was lovely. The mini golf is not accessible if you have mobility issues but looked fun.
Every staff member, especially Ms. Debbie, has been exceptional. We felt valued and welcomed before we ever set foot on the property. I see a lot of posts about how warm the rooms get. Our Folks had the valley view and we had the resort view. The valley side gets sun hitting that side of the building without anything but the occasional cloud to block it. So, we can see how that would get warm. My folks...
Rooms are very nice and spacious. Employees were respectful and kind. Issues I had with this particular hotel, limited hours of their shuttles, restaurant located in another building as well as their pool and other places of interest. Had issues with checking in. I am an owner and they would not check me in. My wife and I arrived around 10pm on Friday. I went to the front desk (letting my wife relax and stay in the car to snooze) showed Nancy my ID. Nancy informed me that she could not check me in, because my name was not on their system.
