I have to agree with many of the reviews, but I also want to add that it's dependent on the person whether something is acceptable or not. We didn't have that high of an expectation due to the reviews, hence for us, it wasn't that bad of an experience. Yes, I agree the pictures make the room seem bigger than it really is. Yes, I agree you can hear upstairs if you're in a ground floor room. But, for...
We've got here late so have to check in by ourselves and the staff left the key in the box and they're also have the box to drop the key to self checkout either. The room super clean and have big fridge, all stuffs needed for kitchen and it has beautiful design. I have no idea for it and it deserves to get 5 star for it and will be back soon
This is our second stay at the Secret Inn. The first time staying in the summer. The have a fast and easy check-in process. The rooms are beautiful and clean. They are small, but equipped with a mini fridge, coffee maker and jacuzzi tub. Water is hot and pressure is amazing. Disappointed that the beach listed 1200 ft away was not free. It is $25/person. We arrived later in the afternoon and not worth...

Fantastic location, close to everything necessary. Like many have mentioned, rooms need upgrade (there were cracks on the floor) but the room I got was spacious. Breakfast was not being served today, not sure if that's something that stopped during the pandemic. Customer service is mechanical and robotic but functional, possibly due to staff shortage. Plenty of parking was available when I visited...
I enjoyed the price point, it was nothing fancy but it wasn’t a dump either. My room was clean, and I had just spent three weeks in the desert so the shower was really nice. My only complaint was the bed was old and slightly uncomfortable. They gave me vouchers when I checked in that were $5 to a private beach just a walking distance away. When we got to the beach it was after 4 so they allowed me...
Good location!!! Not far from main attractions. Easy to walk everywhere!! It’s an old hotel but the room was clean & the $$ was appropriate. The reception staff can definitely improve in returning the calls or answering the main door. We had electric socket issues where only the Air Conditioner socket was working, so you can either charge your devices or run the AC. Make sure that your reach a little...
I had a nice 2 night stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the wifi was fast, the water pressure was strong, and the staff were helpful. Given the price-to-value ratio I was able to overlook all the smaller things where the room needed to be upgraded. I would have given 4 stars except the room was missing a fire alarm.
It was really nice. Quaint, but I've got no complaints. Small, nice rooms with a fridge and microwave, awesome water pressure, and free WiFi. Also, they have a free continental breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was less than a 5 minute walk from Heavenly Village.
Stayed in room 258 for a concert at Harvey's. Easy walk and great location for that or visiting surrounding state line shops or businesses. Room was clean and appeared recently updated. Staff was pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Only negatives was limited parking and the pillows were a tad flat. Minor complaints for the price point.

Loved the outdoor pool and spa which were fanatstic after a day on the slopes. We had a studio room which was compact but had everything we needed for our stay. Excellent location close to the Gondola and in the village with plenty of eating options nearby and a good supermarket across the street. Good value for the location and peak period
We come to the Marriott GRC every year and we always have an amazing stay. Everything is great, from the valet, front desk, housekeeping, and rooms. The location is one of the best in South Lake Tahoe and it's close to everything including some of the best restaurants. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The heated pool and hot tub are amazing during the winter. Having the heavenly ski lift within...
I booked the Marriott Grand Residence Club from AMEX travel. I reserved a studio with two queen beds. The location is perfection! In the heart of the Heavenly Village and next to one of the gondolas serving Heavenly Mountain Resort. The check in process was very easy and valet parking was included in the resort fee. They also have EV charging for a minimal fee. Since this is resort is part of the...
Had a wonderful one night stay on a girl’s trip. The hot tub was great, really really strong jets! Very comfortable beds and pillows and excellent kitchen. So fun to be walking distance to all the state line attractions.
Beautiful Rustic Romantic! Has to do laundry so they gave me a suite! Have to go back with someone special. Fireplace, hot tubs, balconies, spacious! Very Fine! Perfect location. You can walk to many things!
clearly one of the best hotels in the Lake Tahoe area the grand residence by Marriott is huge and the rooms are very spacious and accommodating. There is lot of things to do when in the hotel such as a ski lift pools spa room hot tub and other activities for you and your family. The service here is high quality service as the staff members are very courteous friendly and welcoming they make sure that...

The breakfast was good, but the dinning room was limited so kind of crowded when we had breakfast at about 9:30 am. Reception desk very friendly.
I had an amazing stay. The room was spotless … so clean! It had all the amenities I needed. I loved the hotel and loved the location. I felt peaceful and relaxed. I also loved Bryan in the vacation club sales office he was absolutely fantastic and provided excellent service. Overall an amazing stay!
We chose this place for the location. It’s only 5 minutes walk to the heavenly village and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff who helped us was Eric. He was very accommodating and professional. The room was a bit outdated but clean. Hot breakfast was included and I thought it was a nice perk. We had the option to either eat it there or bring it to the lake but you need to bring your...
This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to shopping and dining and within minutes driving to beach/lake access. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is one of the best spreads I've enjoyed. Lots of choices, such as scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, pancakes, toast, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, fruit, coffee and an assortment of juices.
This hotel was convenient and clean. The room is spacious it did have some amenities like shampoo and conditioner and a refrigerator Keurig machine things like that, however I did take a star away because the AC was a little bit confusing.. and semi didn't work. There was a thermostat for the room AC which did not work at all but then there was a smaller window AC that barely produced enough cold air...
Positive things first… Good breakfast buffet Pretty location Centrally located Negative things… Stayed 3 nights. Never cleaned the room even after telling them our room didn’t get cleaned. We spend 1 night there, just to relax after a day tubing and playing with snow. Staff that checked us in was super nice (blond girl and a new guy that just got hired - I don’t remember your guys name, but you guys are great). Room was clean, they have a shampoo, conditioner and lotion dispenser which I think it is amazing! We got a room with a lake view so you can see the amazing blue water of Lake...
Great location, helpful staff. Amenities are definitely not high end, but nothing is wrong with them either. We stayed at the end of October. Easy access to bars, restaurants, breakfast spots, breweries, grocery stores, the lake is gorgeous and right across the street. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool every night even if the temperature outside was dropping low. Great experience, I recommend.
I really enjoyed my two night stay here. I felt like the rooms were awesome - loved the balcony and the space! The front desk people were super friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were amazing with plenty of lounge chairs and tables/ chairs with and without shade. Overall very nicely maintained
Got a great room with my mother for a night on the first floor. Comfy beds, clean room, pool and hot tub with a decent little gym. Our room 102 near the front facing out to the lake had a good view for drinking coffee on the patio in the shade before leaving. We would both stay here again.
Great location and the front desk staff where amazing. Building is old, but the rooms where updated and location in South Lake Tahoe was great. Was given a room with a partial view and it was actually a really great view from the balcony on the 3rd floor - room 312. I was completely satisfied with my stay. Place is clean. If you arrive after midnight you can ring the bell and a semi-conscious guy wearing pajamas will check you in. There's a mini fridge for your left over tacos and beer; there's a mini microwave for making instant oatmeal for breakfast and there is a mini coffee maker that comes with a sealed package of items resembling the ingredients familiar...
Great for overnight stay, although towels and sheets could be cleaner. Worth the price it was paid.
We found this place after our original hotel canceled us because we arrived late. It was a small hotel. But the bed was comfortable the room was good sized. There was a microwave and fridg which our original hotel didn't have .It was just an overnight because we flew in from Denver and were late. It was nicer than the original motel in my opinion. I would stay here again.
Exceptional Cozy little rooms with amenities making it great HELP. 4 a week grabbing some groceries. From Few Adventures 2 maybe even job. Waiting 4 your apartment done maybe. Smart option.
A friend and I booked the only room with a hot tub in the toom. The price was great and the room was cozy with wood paneling on the walls and ceiling. The hot tub was big and deep and because the faucet ran so slowly get took over an hour and a half to fill. But once we got in it and turned it on it was very enjoyable.
Clean room, basic kitchen area (fridge, microwave, and coffee maker) polite employees, decent place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We booked it last minute and got a great deal, it's a slightly older hotel and the bed could be upgraded but the location is amazing and our room was clean and nice. The fireplace is awesome! We will definitely stay here again.
Their customer service was on point and they all made me feel very comfortable. Anything I needed they were able to help me with. The room I had, had an awesome view of Lake Tahoe and the interior design was pleasing along with the Cozy fireplace. Tahoe Beach Retreat might be the best place to stay in South Lake Tahoe. The staff are friendly and helpful and so welcoming. The rooms are clean and pretty, each with a deck or patio perfect for relaxing and breathing in the mountain air. Checking in on a brisk October evening the fireplace in my room quickly warmed me up. Fire pits around the property and complimentary Smores packets brought guests...
Great location on the water with a public beach right there. Easy access to the beach. Dog friendly. ( dogs were all well behaved). We had a partial view of the lake which was nice. Cute room with a fireplace. Parking was crowded and we couldn’t get extra towels even though we asked twice. But I would stay there again!
We stayed here two nights (one full day) as a relaxbreak on our round trip in West USA. Although the rooms are nice and the lake is fantastic, don’t expect too much relaxing. On the first night there was a wedding party which the whole resort could enjoy, whether you wanted or not. The place is more like a camping site than a resort experience. I give three stars for the view and the nice welcoming...
This hotel was so lovely! The room had an artificial fireplace which was really nice. It had a breathtaking view over looking the lake was just georgous! The shuttle to the village was very convenient. Last but not least the fresh baked cookies in the lobby were so yummy! I very much so enjoyed my stay and would chose to stay here again in the future!

We stayed here primarily because is was an affordable option within walking distance to the Jackson Browne concert at Harveys outdoor arena. Stayed there the last 3 nights and absolutely loved it! Super cute hotel close to everything in town and the staff was incredible. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly, Berke (hope I spelled that right) and Pablo were so helpful when we booked an additional night on a 3rd party app but didn’t reserve the right room. We loved our stay at Hotel Becket. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful with recommendations on things to do in the area. The hotel is in a great location; across the street to all the shops and restaurants at the Heavenly Village, and a short walk to the casinos. The room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again during our next trip to Tahoe. Thank you to the staff at...
Great location! Appealing comfortable rooms. Breakfast setup is great for active people getting up and out early. Pool was heated and nice. Walls were thin so noisy neighbors were a problem (common in a South Lake in my experience though). No towel racks which is just annoying, especially in the age of no midstay housekeeping. Landscapers were mowing at 5:30 am on a Saturday which is just nuts. I...
The location was great. We could walk to everything. The room was Ok, kind of small. It is definitely a motel. Doors open to parking lot, and windows are not tinted. Seven Seas is a small hotel embarking on a new journey. The night before we arrived, I was browsing the reviews and found them quite erratic, in the last six-eight months going from glowing to quite awful. We decided that we'd be conservative and check out what was going on on-site before committing to staying the night. When we arrived, we found work going on - lots of work! And the new owner - of...
Amazing little gem of a place in South Lake Tahoe! Room was very clean, there was even a bathrobe provided … a short walk from the beach, and an even shorter one to casinos, restaurants, and shopping near state line. Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend! Staff was super attentive via text at all times which was an added bonus! Love it!
Great places for a weekend getaway with your significant other. Located right at the State line so everything's in walking distance. Had a really good stay. I forgot to take pics because I was too busy having a good time. Gotta hit the corn holes at Base Camp around the corner and have some cider if you visit.

We loved the Coachman Hotel. The whole property is very pretty and the staff is helpful and polite. They have a nice size pool and a very chill hot tub (jets don’t work very well) the room was nice but it needs a lot more lighting, it was a little too dark for our taste and the bathroom light feels like is about to set the world on fire, not sure why. The Coachman Hotel offers a charming and eclectic experience just a short walk from a semi-private beach. For those who prefer to ride, numerous Lime Scooters are available. Great location and hotel. We enjoyed drinks by the fire, swimming and sitting in the hot tub. Our dog was very welcomed, she was allowed to hang out anywhere we were. The room was a good size and had wooden hooks and knobs for your skis and parkas ect. Ice machines on both sides. Pool was a good size. Delicious pink lemonade cocktail in the lobby 😋 I slept great. The area was so peaceful. The staff was friendly and patient. Thanks to Oscar (facilities manager?) for being so accommodating! Would definitely stay again
Great value. A lot of nice little touches in all the rooms, the common area lodge is really nice with a little movie theater, fire pits, tea, and snacks. Location is great - about 10-15 minute walk from the gondola. And pet friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome decor throughout the hotel. From the street it doesn't look like much but once inside the lobby and hotel room, all the little 50s/60s vintage throw back touches are amazing. Postmarc has some of the best customer service I have ever seen at a hotel, regardless of caliber. We stayed there during a snowstorm and they were super understanding of us checking in early to get out of the weather, and for us leaving a day early with a full refund for the extra day, so we got home before the next storm hit. The room was awesome as well, and super unique!
Let's go with the pros first. The exterior is nice and the front desk staff was great. Now the cons. The rooms are very dated and have floor to ceiling mirrors that remind me an adult movie set. They added them to the whirlpool bath as well. As for house keeping, we had lots of hair in the tub upon our arrival.
This hotel is a good location for Lake Tahoe. They don't have an elevator and you have to haul your luggage up a set of stairs. They had no one to help you. The room was a romantic setup, but the bed was on an elevated platform and if you forgot that you could step off and get hurt. The shower was open to the room, umh 🤔. Romantic or not this was awkward. I wouldn't stay here again.
Loved this place it was very perfect for us. I dropped my ring down the drain, however I'm from Bay Area and getting it back was a major concern. Enjoyed our stay very much. I read some negative reviews before we came and did not find them to be true. These are cabins, not the Westin. We stayed in #12 and found it to be clean and well setup when we arrived. The cabins are actually what we in California call tiny homes: park model RVs to everyone else. They are very cabiny feeling inside and out, have a small kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom...
The cabin we got was awesome and fit the 5 people we had. It was a good price but the second floor was almost half as tall as the 1st floor. Still was a good launch bad and super close to town, 25$ cab to it from harrahs
The cabin is tiny, but comfortable. Be aware that the ceiling in the loft is only about 4 feet high, and the heater is incredibly loud. It says it can accommodate 6, but we had barely enough room for three people's baggage.
Beautiful area, nice cabin, the owner is kind and gave us thorough instructions. We will definetly be back.

Last minute booking for memorial day weekend. I would say worth the money I paid for it. Clean and good enough
Rooms are comfortable. Great price. Some kitchen amenities need repair or update. Walking distance to Lake Tahoe and to Heavenly Valley.
Decent place with reasonable price in off-season. Good breakfast in the morning to keep you started. They don't have a baggage storage, so that makes it not suitable for people without cars. Staff is OK. Rooms are clean and comfy.
The price was right for a good place to lay your head for the night. The staff was nice and the continental breakfast was good. Easy to get in and out of town and close to everything.
For the price and location you can't beat this place. Not glamorous at all but rooms are clean and area is secure. Building a little old and in need of a facelift. Staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is hot and we'll stocked- best of any Roadway Inn I've been. For the price it can't be beat.

We were in one of the privately owned Appartment. The resort is directly on the lake shore, and while it did not perfectly aged, the location, swimming and swimming pools make it a great stay. Coin washing machine are available. One bear was sleeping in a tree which make it a memorable experience.
The location of this condo village is what makes it great. It's right off the main road and minutes from the stateline. The service was prompt when we needed our TV serviced. I like that there are 2 pools for your convenience With 3 kids in tow, it really makes a difference in our vacation time to have a private beach within walking distance. The building can definitely use some updates, but I recommend...
We had a 5 day stay here and it is a beautiful resort. We stayed in the three bedroom house with the loft and it was gorgeous, the facilities come stocked with just about everything you need. The lake itself was chilly but to be expected, there were still people swimming. The mountain view from the pier is breathtaking especially if you've never seen mountains like that (like us). The staff were nice...
We stayed just one night. The room was clean and quiet with a small full kitchen. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. My only problem was the bed was disappointing. I would stay again though.

If you really need a place to stay maybe for just one night and you're looking to keep it budget, you should be ok. At one time I bet this place was really nice, but it is now so broke down from the outside. The room was mostly clean and everything worked, but don't bring your family, it doesn't feel entirely safe.
I LOVE this place. Quiet, a little safe haven. I've never had a problem with vagrants, I've never even heard any of the neighbors (even when the hotel is booked solid), and the staff leave you alone unless you need their assistance. The rooms are quaint, with a sweet heart-shaped bath tub in the room, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling mirrors. 3 lamps placed around the room give a soft (but definitely...
Awesome place to live.Me and my little daughter stayed there for 5 months.and it was a wonderful experience.we lived there like our own home.great management.everything was perfect.reasonable price as well.Best motel in the lake tahoe.
It's quaint and comfy. Our room had a heart shaped jacuzzi. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. The sheets and blankets were clean the bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean.

Fireplace didn't work, and the in wall heater was hardly putting out any heat. Overall the room was okay, but the shower pressure and water temp goes from ice cold to scalding hot.

THREE STARS FOR STAFF AND CLEANLINESS. For $120.00+ a night it is not worth the money. The bed was hard and when PEOPLE WALKED DOWN THE HALLWAY THE BED SHOOK.... NO JOKE! ROOMS IN DESPERATE NEED OF RENOVATION. Walls are paper thin and you can hear noise with the windows closed and the AC on. TV so small we had to put it on the microwave. Staff was the best part.
Stayed here last night and I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was alright. There was toasts like cinnamon raisin and plain, different flavors of oatmeal, orange juice, coffee with sad creamer, frosted flakes and another kind of cereal and fruit. The room itself was clean and smelt clean. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was a little outdated but was fine. Parking was a little bit of a pain...
I was here to go snowboarding at Sierra-at-Tahoe. The location is great; it's right next to a CVS and there are several restaurants in the area. It's also a minute walk from Lake Tahoe. The "continental breakfast", however, amounted to just toast and cereal. On the second night, the door key stopped working and I had to go to the front desk to get it reprogrammed after moving all my stuff back to the...
Rooms are clean and adequate, no complaints. The only issue was the thin walls. Could easily hear the people next door going at it. Won't describe the experience, but it was not particularly pleasant. Other than that, great location, everything was fine.
