Absolutely amazing hotel which is band in the middle of Boulevard Republika . Everything is walkable and the amenities and ambiance in the hotel is second to none . Must consider for a stay in Berat.

5 star hotel at a 3 star level.. No one carries luggage, everything is self-service, the spa is supposedly under renovation and the hotel pool is an additional charge.. We loved our room at Hotel Colombo. It was spacious. The hotel is viewable from most of the city areas. We were sad that the spa wasn’t open during the month we were there but we would visit again! The staff were lovely!

The hotel is very charming. The room was comfy, but also had an old time feel (antique wardrobe, etc.). The staff helped us with ideas of things to do in the area.

It is a very clean otel and owners are very nice. Since rooms seems authentic I picked this place and I am very impressed. This place suits the Berat’s overall atmosphere. Our room had a balcony, it was good. Breakfast was fantastic. Homemade jams and yogurt were delicious. Come and see.

The hotel is ok, too gaudy for my taste but clean and with easy access (you come in through the gas station US roadside model style). The room was big, clean and seemed well maintained though sparsely decorated, great contest with the common areas that are filled with gold details and kitsch decor.

This is a truly beautiful hotel with outstanding service and location. I had a cheaper room without a view but even this was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The building is an historic landmark in its own right (check out the carved wooden ceilings) but its restaurant verandah offer the perfect spot to soak in Berat’s Ottoman homes.

Nice and clean, but the total package is limited mostly by the lack of sophistication now in all of Albania beyond Tirana. Located at the start of the steep street up to the castle, this family run place is super welcoming and helpful. Rooms are modern but the one we were in (# 111) was smallish. Fantastic place with good communication. We were messaged the moment we arrived into Tirana, asking for our estimated time of arrival. Reception then text us on route making sure all was ok and if we needed directions then to let her know, we arrived safely. Parking is a little tight, but they make it work. This was an absolutely delightful find in the city of Ohrid. It was lovely to have a private balcony that had an amazing view of the city for our late night snack. The staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. Oh and the breakfast was AMAZING!

Great location, right in the center. Balcony if you have the same suite, will be amazed by the views of the town. All the reastaurants are very next or walking distance. The breakfast ala carte,-they bring everything from the menu, not possible to eat))) In common, highly recommend!

This place is amazing. I think it would be hard to find a hotel with better views. The room was clean, and exactly as advertised. The staff was very friendly, and they do speak English, Italian, German, and Shqip. The hotel is very centrally located right on the Boulevard and has many restaurants and cafe in the surrounding. The check in was very quick and hassle free. The service of all the office staff throughout our stay was outstanding. The rooms are spacious, well lit and airy. The linen was good quality and the breakfast was delicious and good variety. I will definitely recommend.

Awesome spot! The owner is such a friendly guy and the hotel is right where you want to be. Clean rooms and excellent hospitality. There is a great street of bars and restaurants down the road. There patio is a good one lace for drinks and relaxing.

Good service. Really good breakfast, fresh and freshly made, while the chef prepared it directly at the buffet. Close to the old town easy to go to by feet. This place gets my warmest recommendations.

The hotel is located by one of the plazas near the river. The room was okay but it faced the street and was noisy. The bathroom was a challenge. No place for putting personal toiletries and the toilet paper was on the opposite wall across from the toilet. Breakfast was okay. There is only one small elevater which causes a traffic jam when groups depart.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during a recent visit. Well located in the centre of town and walking distance from most places. Friendly check in and large modern room with great view of the surrounding hills and river. Buffet breakfast on the top floor was good, with excellent views. Highly recommended!

Everything about our stay here was excellent. We arrived late in the evening but Mateo on the front desk made sure we got a parking space across the street (we enquired about this when booking, so that may have helped). The rooms (incl bathroom) are clean, modern and spacious, the bed really comfy and all the staff very nice, friendly and helpful (with good English, which isn’t always the case in Albania...

Great location and definitely the value for the price. The staff are very friendly and view from the restaurant and also the room (booked a view room) is stunning. In general it is difficult to get any vegan options in the country at any hotels such as oat milk etc. also espresso is extra cost at breakfast (this was the same everywhere in the country too). Overall a superb hotel!

For Albanian standards it is an even luxurious hotel, for Italian ones there would be some little things to improve, for example the shower without a door which floods the whole bathroom, the poor lighting, the poor breakfast (in terms of quality, not in quantity) but in short, for short stays it is more than fine, thanks also to the very efficient staff and the excellent location.

Our family of four stayed here for the weekend, and we can't stop talking about how lovely it was! We arrived to the owner waiting on us. She took us straight to our room and was so kind! Such a lovely and authentic place. The location is spot on, right next to the 1000 windows view point. The owners are very lovely and are willing to help with anything you need. We didn't have a parking spot, so he just took the car to the private parking spot(cost 2€) and brought it back the next morning. Conveniently located next to the Bachelor Mosque and at the head of the main bridge, I was a bit worried that it might be too noisy. But even with a room facing the street it was very quiet at night. Modern hotel, large minimalist rooms. Good modern shower. Hotel is out of town on a busy road but no road noise in rooms. There is a more traditional taverna across the road if you do not want to eat dinner in hotel. Good breakfast in hotel. Beware, there are bottles of water in fridge and no price list displayed but some members of our party were charged 1 euro per bottle on checkout.

The hotel is very grand and somewhat impersonal, more of a business hotel. It is a way out of town so unless you have transport you will be stuck there away from bars and restaurants. A bit of sharp practice they charge 1 euro a bottle for the water in the fridge on checkout. There is no notice advising of this charge which, in a country where you can't drink the tap water, is a bit stingy for such...

This hotel is a barn of a place. Everything is large. Nice large room with equally large bathroom. TV, Wi-Fi and fridge all good but no tea/coffee. Hotel is a drive away from Berat and on a very busy road. Many of the staff do not speak English. In our room we had a fridge and in it were 2 bottles of water. As we were not near any major shops we assumed they were complimentary also there was no price...

Never stayed at the hotel but ate in Garden Grand quite a few times during 2 week stay. Pasta dishes were delicious and had a huge cheese and meat platter one evening. Excellent prices. I definitely return next year.

The room overlooked a brown field, but very correctly! Great breakfast!

The common areas and rooms were very cutely furnished and had a balcony. The owner was very kind, despite not speaking much English. It's in the center of town and close to the bus stop, so it's very convenient. The toilet and shower were broken, so there were some issues with the facilities. The walls were thin, so it was quiet outside, but you could hear voices from next door.

The hotel is very beautiful, pleasant service and wonderful breakfast next to the chimney. The room though was like a freezer. We've been for two full days with the heating on 24h and yet, the room was still cold (we were able to sleep thanks to the very good blankets that they offered us. I stayed in Hotel Berati only for 1 night. The location was right in the center of Berat, close to everything. The hotel has beautiful stone features and the rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Lovely place run by lovely people, with smile and good heart. The building is impressive by itself, all made of stones and wood, easily reachable as you can park the car few meters below. The terrace offers an astonishing view on the river, the perfect place to get a drink or eat. We highly recommend it !

A familly affair in a beautiful house on 2 levels… your meal is well deserved. But once you start eating, you totally forget the effort needed to climb to the wonderful terrace. One of the nicest hotels our tour group stayed at in Albania. Rooms are spacious and, the desk area has a readily accessible power outlet - a rarity on my trip. The rooftop restaurant where breakfast is served has a nice view of the town and surrounding. Only downside was the sketchy wi-fi. Still, a very pleasant hotel for our one night stay.

You can’t drive up to Hotel Gorica. You need to park in the public car park next to the bridge 2-3 mins walk from the hotel. Once we’d done that, check in was done remotely - very easy. We stayed in Room 8, one of the two attic rooms which are significantly cheaper than the other rooms. It was okay for a night but it’s difficult to avoid banging your head on the ceiling!
