The Hotel Colombo is beautifully situated on the heart of Berat. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a stunning view, especially from all the rooms. The service is impeccable and the staff is unbelievably helpful in solving all their customers needs. Overall, a definite recommend and must try when visiting Albania.

I really appreciated the level of rooms the Hotel Colombo offered. After staying at too many small Albanian style properties I appreciated this place felt more luxe. We booked a junior suite which was spacious and modern. The included breakfast was a decent spread to start the day and features charcuterie meats, cheeses, yogurt, and eggs. Friendly staff, incredible building and huge rooms. Good value for money, would 100% return and stay here. Parking on site - which is useful when the town gets busy and a stone's throw from the old town.

The main reason that we booked this hotel was because of the pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed during our stay and we were not informed about this prior to our arrival (or during check in). The hotel itself is nice, very big but not too busy. There is a free pool table (which has not being taken well care of but still nice to have). I cannot describe how fantastic the service at the hotel is. Every person there treats you like the most important person in the world. They go above and beyond. My wife broke her hand while we were in Berat. We were in a foreign country with no real understanding of how to get help. The manager of the hotel came to the hospital (without us even asking) - spoke to the hospital, assisted us with everything...

The hotel is in city centre. Breakfast very good.

Friendly service, friendly personel, and friendly owner, even if you want something extra they fill find it for you, They really make you to go for a second time just to say thank you, The weather is 300 day of the year sun, And because of the position in the centre you can go everywhere very easy and fast

Very clean hotel, good beds, nice shower and an excellent location. Parking space for the car was provided. Airconditioning an absolute must in the middle of summer! Breakfast can be improved with some cereals and it ends quite early: 9:30…. But the cappuccino is great!

The location is excellent and the room is extremely comfortable - large, well lit, clean, beautifully fitted and furnished, and with a breathtaking view over the old town and the valley. Staff were welcoming when we arrived and organised parking for us proactively before we were even out of the car. We left a mobile phone in the room and the staff went above and beyond getting the phone to us by taxi...

We stayed there on night. Room was very nice, had everything you need. Staff was friendly, polite, welcoming, spoke good English. All hotel has very nice design - reminded a bit old German hunting manor, but in a modern way. Location is perfect. Breakfast was tasty.

Stayed in Berat for 2 nights here at the Onufri Hotel. It was our honeymoon so we stayed in one of their larger rooms (they all seemed pretty big). It was clean and beautiful. It’s one of many citadels on the hill surrounded by walls, typical to this region. The walks and sights are really nice, but apart from a few small churches (most are closed) and a lovely icon museum there’s not much to see here. I am not sure sure if all this is worth the rather steep climb - I’d say yes, but if the weather is good, in the morning or in the evening :)

Very nice and large castle. It takes more or less 2h to visit all the spots. The entrance was free and the restaurants inside are not overpriced. Inside there are some horses for tourist walk but please avoid.. To arrive there you have to walk 20 minutes from Berat on a steep road under the sun so just remember to bring a bottle of water.

It’s a free tour, which is already amazing! I highly recommend to go around 5-7pm, when the sun goes down and you can enjoy a nice sunset! Plus the hike up there, it’s pretty steep so if you do it under the heat, it’s tough! You can also go with the free local guided tour, they go up with you, walk you around the castle and show you a lot of spots: the mosque, the churches, the viewpoint and explain...

Great experience no tickets needed it’s free. Well preserved castle so much history. Great views of the city from the castle. You can drive all the way to the top plenty of parking just be careful the streets are narrow.

We drove over an hour specifically for this place and it did not disappoint us. Beautiful site. Habitable ancient castle with narrow streets. Occupies top of the hill with strategic views on surroundings. Cozy inside. Below is an ancient village worth visiting too.

Just an amazing feeling to be staying at the castle itself! Would suggest this place to anyone. Plus the owners are very welcoming and they have the best restaurant in town!

You can’t drive up to Hotel Gorica. You need to park in the public car park next to the bridge 2-3 mins walk from the hotel. Once we’d done that, check in was done remotely - very easy. We stayed in Room 8, one of the two attic rooms which are significantly cheaper than the other rooms. It was okay for a night but it’s difficult to avoid banging your head on the ceiling! This is an hotel with a local historical touch. It is really such a great experience to be in this hotel in a traditional home with an local and historical architecture . The rooms are unique with local decorations and they have all what you need in a hotel room. Internet is available and there is a parking near by. Good location close to the city center, really nice and accommodating personal, really good price, nice rooms and bathrooms with everything you might need. They also serve you a really nice breakfast. Close to shops and restaurants. I'll come again

Nice hotel in the heart of the old town. Nice traditional style rooms, with a comfy bed and good bathroom and shower. Staff were friendly and even alerted us to tickets for the Çobo Winery harvest festival (which was amazing!). Breakfasts were pretty good, and the terrace view over the town is great.

I’m very happy that I visited this restaurant. The food is amazing, the waiters and the others peoples of staff was very friendly and helpful. The service is very good. I recommend this place.

Extra welcome for Italians. The manager Pieter lived in Italy for 15 years and with us he also became an accompanying guide to visit the castle of Berat. Hearty and à la carte breakfast.

Excellent selection of traditional dishes, salad and pasta. We had a mix of traditional dishes and everything tasted incredible. Lovely terrace and attentive servers.

There were several excellent vegetarian options. The restaurant accommodated a member of my party's needs by turning on the air conditioning. The staff speaks excellent English. You can pay with cash or card. Food was very good and affordable.

The only reason why you do not hear more about this gem of a restaurant is likely because it is situated on the “wrong” side of the river, with views that may be somewhat less glamorous than what one may find on the other side. However, make no mistake, the food we had here was some of the best in all of Albania, served by the nicest of staff. I could eat the tomato they used for their dishes alone...

Great hotel,the staff were very proffesional and helpful, very clean hotel . I dont understand where these negative reviews come from, we had a great conversation with owners and they were very welcoming girls and open minded,they helped me for everything i asked.they also have their winery and the wines that we tried were amazing.

The hotel is ok, too gaudy for my taste but clean and with easy access (you come in through the gas station US roadside model style). The room was big, clean and seemed well maintained though sparsely decorated, great contest with the common areas that are filled with gold details and kitsch decor.
