Hotel Osumi in Berat

Our family of four stayed here for the weekend, and we can't stop talking about how lovely it was! We arrived to the owner waiting on us. She took us straight to our room and was so kind! We had the large room with a queen bed on the bottom level, and two twin beds upstairs for our kids! The hotel was BEAUTIFUL. Gorgeous artwork on the walls made you feel like you were staying in a truly authentic Albanian home. Everything was so clean! Each morning, the owner prepared a breakfast for us and it felt like we were staying with family. Delicious food! While our family has been traveling throughout Albania for some time now and already love the friendly Albanians, nothing could prepare us for the hospitality that was given to us here! We hope to come back one day, and will most definitely stay here! Faleminderit!

Quality place in the old town just on the edge of the mountainside and all the cobbled laneways.

Note on parking - as in old town limited ability to park directly at place. Parking arranged at a space 5-10 minute walk away. But hotel has arrangement with parking place and will facilitate payment.

we were pretty happy with our assigned room, except that we had to walk 3 flights of stairs to get to it. There was no kettle but we were given one when we requested. No table, so we had to place the kettle on the floor to boil our water.

Though not marketed as an AIRBNB, it operates like one, though there must be at least a dozen rooms in this building. There's no reception desk! When we arrived, we walked thru an open door and waited some minutes inside a "waiting area" before someone appeared to hand the keys to us. When he left we were left wondering how we would ask for help if we needed it - there's no phone in our room, or anywhere in the building! Thankfully, the few times we wanted help, someone miraculously showed up!!

Great hotel in Berat. Easy walking access to the main pedestrian street with great shops and restaurants. Excellent price, will stay again .

Such a lovely and authentic place. The location is spot on, right next to the 1000 windows view point.

The owners are very lovely and are willing to help with anything you need. We didn't have a parking spot, so he just took the car to the private parking spot(cost 2€) and brought it back the next morning.

Home like breakfast that the lady prepared just for us and chocolate milk for the kids.

Conveniently located next to the Bachelor Mosque and at the head of the main bridge, I was a bit worried that it might be too noisy. But even with a room facing the street it was very quiet at night. The room is very clean - the floors are well polished that I felt I need remove my shoes immediately after I enter the room. The AC works fine and the decoration was very nice. Bath room is very clean as well, no issue with toilet or hot water, which usually the typical issues with old houses. There is a gallery of some kind on the 1st floor and the breakfast room is in the basement. The breakfast was freshly made and lady was very kind to fill in my water bottle. I think this is a very well run place. highly recommend.

This is an excellently located guesthouse right in the heart of old town. A short walk to the castle (big hill climb), a short walk to lots of lovely restaurants and bars. The accommodation is basic, but perfectly comfortable and safe. The owner was extremely helpful and parked our hire car for us. The breakfast was also excellent. I would highly recommend staying if you want an authentic guesthouse at a very good price.

Very nice place. Room was beautiful and the bed had a great firm mattress. Very conveniently located in the city center, you can walk everywhere. Small stores and Cafés just around the corner. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, only the coffee was cold when it came to the table :D

This boutique hotel in the old quarter of Berat was very conveniently located close to the main thoroughfare, the ancient center, and directly below the castle mount. Step out of the door and enjoy getting lost in the maze of old cobblestone streets that wind their way up the mountain side to the castle. Lots of good restaurants close by and a great view of the old quarter on the other side of the river if you have the right room. The rooms were well appointed, very clean, with functioning air conditioning, and a great shower. They have done a beautiful job of refurbishing the old wood and stone to make it very charming. The owner was always very helpful, helping caring bags, offering great tips on restaurants and things to do. We had a very solid, fresh breakfast with eggs, breads, fruit, and hot petull (an Albanian staple). Two thumbs up.

In the style of the old town. A spiritual place! Wooden furniture. Original paintings by the host's family. We arrived at midnight, but the host was waiting for us and gave us valuable directions for the journey afterwards. Very kind and helpful hosts!
